“We had our wedding over the weekend and everything was absolutely perfect! From the moment I reached out about booking to cleaning up when the day was over, all of the staff were so nice and helpful. Meghan, our wedding coordinator, was the best! She made sure everything was exactly how we wanted. Everyone kept talking about how beautiful it was and how delicious the food was. Thank you for making our the wedding planning process a breeze and for the best day ever!”

“The owner of Newave Studios , Rashida, is an amazing woman. She is very welcoming, dedicated, and professional. She helped me by choreographing a phenomenal dance for my wedding. I came to her only one month before the wedding with zero to none dancing experience nor any dancing skills, and she was willing to help even so. We met several times to practice even on weekends. We even practiced on the dance floor at the reception so that we can make sure the steps will fit in perfectly. She is a great teacher and even a better and wonderful friend.”

“We watched Rocky Horror Picture Show which was accompanied by a live performance by a shadow cast. The cast was also interactive and had throw bags for sale for using during the movie. Thanks to a neighboring car, we didn't have to use our own radio since they projected the sound for everyone, but be aware that you will have to tune a radio to the frequency of the theater in order to hear the audio. From the second row from the screen, it was not possible to see the actors, but the screen and picture quality was great! Overall, it was a fun and new experience. There was a portapotty on site and a small snack shack. We brought our own movie snacks and drinks and many people brought lawn chairs and sat outside.”

“Price is in line with other Gymnastics Centers. Coach Ann and Coach Nikko are very good with the kids. My daughter has been going for a little over 6 months and lives it! Clean facility with lots of equipment choices for the kids. Definitely a great place to start if your kids are interested in gymnastics.”

“This is our go-to place when visiting family nearby. Always decorated for the holidays. Lobby and dining area clean as could be. Has a small gym with all the basics. Pool seems good, but we haven't used it. We wanted the hot tub, but our last 2 visits, it wasn't working. A little more expensive than a nearby hotel but worth it if you want to enjoy the hotel more than just a place to sleep.Rooms: Light and airyWalkability: Can walk to food and even some stores if you like a short walk. Not many sidewalks but all "across" the street.Food & drinks: Breakfast is plentiful and stays open a decent amount of time.”

“Favorite movie theater to go to. I just wish they turned the cinemark that's next to me in Stroudsburg, more like this one with the better screens and bigger auditorium with the reclining seats”

“I would love to give this venue 5 stars. The staff and house manager were gracious and attentive, overall the service was excellent. The venue itself was beautiful and well appointed. The food was well made.Unfortunately, my interactions with the event manager and proprietor, Joshua, were less than desirable. On a positive note he was very responsive to my questions throughout my planning process. However, I felt they were curt. The larger problem came the day of with a scheduling error. We contracted the event space in January for a May bridal shower. The invitations were sent for a noon start time. When we arrived at the venue 45 minutes before the contracted time (12pm) the main door was locked. After a frantic moment we found a side door open. I entered to see if anyone was on the premises; there was not. I was told in an email from Joshua (who was not present) that I could come 45 min ahead of time so we started setting up my daughter's bridal shower. About 20 min or so into our set up the other proprietor, Paul, arrived and was visibly and audibly annoyed. He told me my event was not scheduled until 1pm but they would accommodate us. However, I was made to feel that I had made a mistake. Unfortunately, I spent the whole time at my daughter's bridal shower believing I had messed up the time. When I arrived home I pulled the contract up only to find that I indeed had the correct time, 12 noon. When I sent an email to Joshua voicing my concerns, I was simply told that they would let the staff know I wasn't satisfied with the event. To the contrary, I was exceedingly happy with the staff, especially the house manager, although I cannot remember her name; she was wonderful. So, a word of caution when planning an event here. Double check the time. My only mistake in this situation was that on the invoice the start time stated 1pm. I was so concerned with making sure the menu was correct I didn't even notice they had the wrong start time. Even so, I should not have been made to feel like I made a grave error.”

“The Scranton Cultural Center is an invaluable asset to the City of Scranton, Lakawanna County and The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. From major artists concerts, touring stage productions, comedy shows to local dance reviews the SCC is the ultimate multi-purpose facility for this area.

It is beautiful inside and out. It is loaded with history and symbolism. And plays host not only to amazing public entertainment and art production but also remains a Masonic Temple and Scottish Rite Cathedral.

Maintaining it's original purpose as well as it's commitment to Modern art and theatre production.

This place is a treasure.”

“This place is weird. That was my initial reaction upon checking in; what I find weird is the building itself. Room layouts was spacious but a bit strange and the air feels poorly circulated. There was also no decoration in the room and the furniture felt like an afterthought. However the staff is incredibly accommodating, hospitable, and the food at the restaurant is far better than what you usually find in hotel restaurants like this. If I’m in the area again I will stay here.”
