“We spent our first night with The Carlisle House this past few weekends ago. My wife and I had an opportunity to see a concert at a nearby venue. The the concert being held in the evening and we would be traveling some distance to attend. We elected to find accommodations for the evening spend the night. Accommodations locally at the concert venue were limited or were what we felt over priced at the time we attempted to book.We arrived a few minutes early and reached out to our hosts per their protocol. Once we connected with our host (less than a few minutes), we were greeted instantly. We were instructed how to park off street parking, given the lay of the land with the local businesses, given immediate access to the building and the room. The room is well appointed and comfortable, (especially the bed). During our stay, 10 other guests were in The Bed and Breakfast. A recommended quiet time was asked to be observed. The Bed and Breakfast was especially quiet during those requested times.Time of breakfast was asked by Hosts 0800 or 0900. Breakfast was on time or a bit early for those wanting some coffee a bit earlier than announced breakfast. Breakfast was hardy, filling, and excellent. Portions were generous and probably more than we could eat. We also observed special dietary needs being graciously observed.During breakfast, we had opportunity to interact with those whom were staying with the Bed and Breakfast. We found that the other two parties are returning guest and had nothing but good things to say about the Bed and Breakfast and Staff(each and every time they stay). The hosts also interacted with the guests and insured the they had positive experiences with the Bed and Breakfast, as well as the greater surrounding Carlisle area. And. they made suggestions how to make the next stay a better experience. Finally, would we return and stay? ----Yes! We both are looking forward for an opportunity to explore Carlisle PA and spend some there in Carlisle, and the greater area (including local restaurants and the food scene locally). And, Yest! would stary again at The Carlisle House. We both had a positive experience at The Carlisle House. Looking forward for the next stay and checking out Carlisle!”

“Price: Great value for the money! We got a hot tub room with a king size bed for a fraction of the price of shoddy hotels without the hot tub!Condition: The room was pristine. My photos are the morning we checked out so it doesn't show how nice the presentation was, but my god I don't know if I've seen cleaner accommodations. The hallways are long, dim, and cold, but I wasn't staying in the hall so I couldn't care less.Experience: The staff was super friendly, the receptionist was probably the kindest I've experienced. Very bubbly and helpful. We were allowed a late check out for no extra charge. The breakfast was decent, nothing to write home about but it did the job. I did wish for better coffee lol. Parking is convenient, there is much available, and it is free. The walls are obviously super thick because our neighbors were partying it up to the wee hours of the morning and we didn't hear a peep in our room!!10/10 will stay again!! Thank you for a wonderful time.”

“Rooms were clean but had a weird bevel on the floor under the carpet in several areas. It is an older hotel located in downtown Carlisle. The location is not the best, and I had a hard time finding where to go. It's located off the main road down an alley. The service was lousy! Asked questions, like where to park, and she acted like I was bothering her. U have to park in a parking garage, n u get a ticket. When u leave, u do not have to pay, but it was aggravation considering I was there for work and had to come and go frequently. If u need to be close to this area and do not have to leave in ur car, it would be an ok place to stay, but if u can, go to another hotel.”

“We stopped one night on our way through. Staff were really friendly. Room was neat and clean. Comfortable beds and no noise from outside the room meant for a decent sleep. Air conditioner worked. TV worked fine. One of the power points for a lamp didn’t work. Water pressure was extremely poor and at the end of the day the hot water temperature was only warm enough to just use the hot water for a shower. We had breakfast about halfway through the service time slot and all the tables needed cleaning. There were a few sausages and eggs left, waffle mixture, cereal and some coffee. Overall good value for a quick stop.”

“Recently re-branded as a Best Western. We were welcomed by friendly staff, room was clean, they are Pet Friendly (for a fee). Only disappointment was at breakfast (6-9), at 7:00, they had run out of eggs, sausage/bacon and waffle batter. When we asked for waffle batter, the employee at the reception seemed at a loss, but eventually found it for us. All in all, a good experience.Noteworthy details: Some of the rooms are currently being renovated and updated.”
