“Staff was great. Super convenient location. Hotel's appearance was on point as you pulled up and as you entered the lobby. The room was VERY clean , great in room ammenities like coffee & fridge. Bed was super comfortable as was all the bedding. Very clean & comfortable bathroom. Free breakfast was a really nice touch. Was here on business, was a great stay. I can't believe it's only $50! It would be a value at twice that.”

“I've been attending seminars twice, each year, at Red Lion Hotel for the past 20 years.The hotel has become my home away from home.The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and furniture. “What a great hotel! Super clean! Very friendly staff! The pool was heated and the pool hours of 8 am to 10 pm worked very well for us to give the 7 yr old traveling with us plenty of time to burn off some energy. There was a nice variety for breakfast. The hotel had 2 staff members who made sure everything was promptly refilled. The location right off the highway was very convenient. I did not hear any road noise whatsoever. If I am in the area again, I will definitely stay here.”

“We stopped in on a Sunday early evening for live music and had a couple drinks, no food. The building is historic which makes this a really cool spot. There was a banquet room and bar on the second floor with a wraparound balcony that was accessible. The upstairs was closed for service at the time we visited. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. The bartender was personable and attentive. They did just also open a coffee shop with limited hours and I will be back to check that out. Nice stop for beverage or quick bite to eat if you are hiking Hawk Rock or the AT and a place to sleep if you need.”

“Stayed here for our mini family Xmas vacation and was very pleased with everything. It was decorated so festively. The hotel is very clean, quite and practical. The rooms are big and spacious. We got a 2 bedroom suite since we were traveling with a child and senior. It was just the right amount of space. Each room had its own bathroom. The kitchenette does not have an oven, just a heads up to anyone planning on making food. The breakfast buffet was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and kind. They greet you even in passing. Highly recommend this place. Very pleasantly surprised.Nearby activities: Hershey Park”

“The hotel was generally basic but nothing to really complain as I knew when booking what I was paying for.The Front desk was really accommodating as there were several families stuck due to the snow storm and the front desk staff was mindful and let us use their dining areas and provided a lot of the basic toiletries.Rooms were clean and the shower pressure and bathrooms were all relatively good (looks like depending on your rooms you might have a different experience based on other reviews).”

“My room itself was fine although the comforter was very thin. Having a kitchen would be nice if you were in the area for a couple days. Coffee was an issue for me as someone who needs it to wake up. The coffee machine in my room didn’t work, the machine in the lobby didn’t work, the front desk staff was just not there and then when they showed up they were not helpful, and the only coffee they had for sale was extremely sweet iced coffee. I get that things happen but it seems like reliable coffee should be a priority at a place where people sleep.”

“Carpets are filthy. Definitely have to wear socks or house slippers at all times. My room was not vacuumed well... my toddler found stale popcorn on the side of bed from previous guests. Breakfast is included, and I like that it had a hot waffle station. My check-in and out experience was great. Friendly and professional agents at the front desk. Room service came every day (which I had gotten unaccustomed to since covid), and that was great because we did get fresh linen.Walkability: Not great walkability. There is a gas station next door.Food & drinks: Several food and drink options within 6 minute drive. Definitely recommend mission BBQ”

“It doesn't look much from the outside, but I come to Mechanicsburg PA at least twice a year and I'll stay here again in the future and recommend it to other people I travel with. It's clean, quiet and safe. There was no trash outside where I was walking my dog. The pet fee is EXTREMELY Affordable, compared to other hotels charging arms and legs for pet fees. I had absolutely no problems staying here. The guy at the front desk was super nice and welcoming, the people I talked to while walking my dog were so friendly as well. The breakfast is a grab and go, nothing special but decent. The rooms are modern and clean and smell great. The only thing I hated and it's def. not a deal breaker cause I only stay a few days, was that if people talked and walked by my window, I could hear them.Rooms: Hardwood floors, clean, modernized, have a fridge and microwave. Bathroom is sort of small but water pressure and temperature was amazing.”

“2/24: Nice enough hotel and recommend if you can get a good rate.Couple of issues:Very loud hotel. Very thin walls, and my room had adjoining rooms on both sides so I heard stuff all night. You can hear highway traffic all night long.Darkest bathroom I’ve ever been in, could’ve used way more light.Convenient chat function, should be available at all Marriotts.However, requested housekeeping at 9am two different days (and requested early due to taking conference calls in the room) and both days they still didn’t show up until 3pm, which is a major issue for me.Last weird thing, they had sheets branded for Best Western. Not expected at Sheraton, which is supposed to be a pretty upscale brand.”

“I was a little hesitant to stay here based on other reviews, but since it was close to a business meeting I was having the next morning and much less expensive than other hotel options, I decided to chance it. And I'm very happy I did. The room was spacious and clean, and when I was checking in I requested a room in back where it was quieter, and the woman checking me in said I had reserved a less expensive room in the front, but upgraded me for free! It is right across the street from the river, and I took a really nice walk along the path in the morning. The only downside (and why they didn't get 5 stars) is that the breakfast was very sparse. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again!”
