“I tecently went in to the Hawthorne location (without an appointment) to fix a reverse (back-up) light issue on my VW Passat. Other shops wanted to charge me a lot of money just to diagnose the problem! The guys at ABE quickly put my car in the service bay, found the problem and corrected it for a very reasonable fee, and it only took about 45 min. Everyone who works here is polite, focused and super-knowledgeable. Personally, I don't think it's worth shopping around when the best service is right here in SE Portland”

I’m very grateful to store representative, Adam, who quickly installed an excellent new battery in my Subaru Outback, kindly answered my questions, & unprompted, gave additional assessments & good advice. It was about 90 degrees today so I greatly appreciated his patience and generosity!
My only suggestion (everything else being excellent), is if this hot weather continues to extend in duration, perhaps the company should invest in a pop-up canopy under which cars and employees can be in the shade while batteries are installed, however quickly. As a Batteries Plus “plus”, the canopy can also add extra store visibility and space for advertising! ?”

Their lifetime battery warranty is goated and they even cut and programmed a new car key and fob for me for nearly half the price that the dealership quoted me at! My only regret is not getting a car battery from them when I needed one a while back.”
“I went in because my car was not starting intermittently. Even through the battery was only 3 years old, I figured the battery just need to be replaced. Sal did the free diagnostics and told me the battery was fine, just drained from lack of use. (We drive this car very little these days). Sal gave me a loaner battery so he could charge up my battery over night for free! I picked it up the next day and now it's working well. I got a great deal on a home charger so I can keep the battery healthly while our son is at school. Working with Sal was getting help from a friend or relative. I will be going to Battery X-Change in Beaverton for all my battery needs!”
“I left work and quickly discovered I had little to no brakes on my car. This was the closest O'Reilly's and I had no idea it wasn't a normal retail location. Alex helped me, and to say that he went above and beyond is an understatement. He came out to my car, identified the problem, then looked up the part. They didn't have it, so he tried looking at other Jeeps with the same engine. Still no luck. Then he went in the back and found a part that's identical to what I needed but for another car altogether! He was not only helpful but friendly as well, and they never made me feel like I was putting them out to help me. Thank you Alex.”

“Ann Marie at the Mcloughlin Blvd store in Milwaukie OR went above and beyond for me today. My brake light burnt out and I was sold the incorrect bulbs by Napa. Ann Marie changed out the bulb and was unfailingly upbeat and reassuring to this old lady. I won't be going anywhere else from now on. Nice, organized store with what appeared to be a number of repeat customers. I can see why! Napa has sold me the wrong things more than once and refused to help at all with my car. So long, Napa!”

“Kinda live here or at Auto Zone. It's like potato or potatto, and one store may have more detail products, for example, but the other is good for tool rental and antifreeze. O'Reilly's tends to have high-quality employees who actually gaf and have solid advice and insight on troubleshooting mystery car/ truck issues. As well as real-world advice on a variety of topics. Just ask!”
