OnPoint Community Credit Union is a well-established, community-focused financial institution serving areas like Portland, Vancouver, Salem, Eugene, and Bend. Since its founding in 1932 as Portland Teachers Credit Union, it has grown into Oregon’s largest community-owned bank, with over 500,000 members. The credit union emphasizes building strong communities by supporting financial growth and well-being through various financial services and education. Members appreciate the friendly, helpful, and efficient staff at local branches, making banking a positive experience. The old building in Sellwood is especially praised for its beauty, and the friendly atmosphere adds to the welcoming environment. Online banking services are convenient and efficient, though some reviews mention occasional issues, such as delays due to new banking systems or glitches, which are often resolved through IT support. While most members have positive experiences, some reviews highlight challenges like longer wait times on busy days and technical glitches that caused temporary frustrations, including issues with online access and unexpected charges. Despite these, members value the personal service and the community support that sets OnPoint apart from larger banks. Many choose OnPoint for its competitive rates, caring staff, and commitment to serving the community, making it a trusted financial partner for personal and business banking needs.

I love our local branch. The staff is friendly, competent, and efficient. I only experience longer wait times if I happen to show up on a Friday as everyone is getting off work and rushing to cash/deposit their paychecks.

I love Credit Unions! The staff here is very helpful, regardless of whether you have an account with them or not. And the old building is gorgeous. Thanks for making Sellwood your home and for keeping banking the friendly experience it's meant to be.
