2842 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland“When you first walk in the door you are warmly greeted by the most friendly pooch? The shop has high quality fishing gear and staff is very knowledgeable , friendly and helpful. Nice to have an excellent place to grab the things you need before hitting the river and it’s not too far from my home.”
“Just discovered a few minutes before their closing time. They appear to have everything and more.Love that they're a local owned business.I will be back again !”

4768 NW Bethany Blvd C5, Portland“First time my kids and I visit this toys store. Nice store with all different types toys and other accessories. Store is little small but worth the visit. Plan to return in near future.”
“This place has a lot of board games, terrain, miniatures, books and runs events all the time. Also a cafe attached. Love going in here and just browsing. Pricing is essentially MRSP.”
“The dude at the counter was very nice and the store has greet selectionI really enjoy the unique pieces I found there I couldn't find anywhere elseI definitely see me returning here in the future”
“Stopped in to check out this store because it's on my commute. Some with the owner who was super friendly. They have about 6 tables which could host about 12 players and the shop is mostly TCG focused. They also have items which would make great general nerdy gifts.”
“Tyler was the man! I don't usually do reviews, but I was so amazed by this store. I was on the fence about this hobby for a year, and with Tyler's help, it made getting into the hobby very enjoyable. Thank you!”
“Very cool these places still exist I often remember going to these frequently other child begging my parents drive me over the booster packs. I would hate to see bricks and mortar stores go away where you don't get the shopping experience. It just so fun to be able to go in and look around and see other people excited about what you're excited about such a difference experience than just buying online. Everything is MSRP not seeing a lot of great deals with these shops you want to pay over location such as target or Walmart. So you can definitely come support a business that much so deserves it and have a little fun in the process.”
“Excellent model train store. Best selection of O gauge I’ve found in ages, but of course it has a plethora of the smol stuff also. Top shelf service as well. Other stores have to “call a guy” when instead, Whistle Stop has their own in-house tech. Definitely coming back.”
“This store is my favorite shop of all time, I always cone here when I need new D&D books and dice. It also sells board games, action figures, MTG, Pokémon, comics, and SO much more! It's staff members are very good and helpful and it has amazing service. 5 stars it's my favorite store.”
“happy to have an art supply store in my neighborhood. theyre always super helpful here! wish the sewing section was a lil bigger but i usually find what im lookin for :•)”
“Miles is incredibly friendly, been here a couple times so far and am consistently provided with a great conversation and great service. The amount of affordable magic related items is wonderful, there isn't much markup and there is a wide array of singles, boxes, commander decks, and packs. They of course also have a plethora of other card game goodies any player may need like deck boxes and sleeves.”
“What's not to love about Michael's. I'm not really a crafts person. I typically go there to look at their picture frames. But if you're interested in the Disney Land of arts and craft supplies this is the place for you. We have a friends who will literally spend several hours at Michael's. Enjoy and craft away.”
“One of the last OG Trading Card Stores left. The owner of this wonderful small business whose name is John, is one of the most kind, honest, and fare men to own a hobby shop. Bring your business here if you’re into Magic the Gathering! They hold tournaments with good prize payouts many days of the week. They also sell a large selection of Disc’s and supplies for Disc Golf!”
“Michael’s is always a time. I had a hard time finding what I was looking for because the website said it was in stock but the things were no where to be found, but overall I got everything I needed for my art sale and it was fine. A good go to place for misc art supplies and gift wrap.”
11AM - 6PM
912 W Burnside St, Portland“Drove up from Lebanon. Worth the drive. I traded some vintage Star Wars stuff for store credit. EXCELLENT selection of vintage toys/collectibles. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis to see what they have.”
“Yup, I'm a regular here--and I'm not very crafty, but their silk flowers really work on the decks of my house. The pride section was great this year ( growing every year). Other holiday fare is great, too.The counter help is always solid--not much help on the floor, but Michael's always come through for my basic needs in celebrating important events with products that can be used year after year.”
“Upon entering the establishment, I was confronted and greeted by either a wizard from the future or Rambo. Love him or hate him, this man isn't going anywhere. He has been here forever and he will guide you on the right path. I was told I was collecting baseball cards the wrong way all these years because I had not shopped at his store yet. Now as I contemplate this experience on rainy ,sad nights...I wonder to myself - what else have I gotten wrong all these years dear reader?”
10:30AM - 7PM
12412 NE Halsey St, Portland“Honestly if there was a way to give these guys more star I would. This is hands down the best hobby shop for rc’ers I’ve ever been too. They’re so funny and knowledgeable and always always willing to help me figure out what up with my electronics when they go wonky. Literally the only hobby shop I recommend to people.”
“I had another issue at another game stop location across town and called this location (long story) and got in touch with Sam, the store manager. Not only did Sam listen to my issue, he helped me out by taking my issue seriously and getting the right person contacted to address the situation. When I got a dead end response from corporate email, I don't think I would've had resolution without Sam helping me. He said they care a lot about return customers at this location & I have to believe that's true based on my experience. Will gladly shop this location when in the area. GameStop would greatly benefit from more store managers like this!”
“I could not believe I was actually in Portland. Incredibly fast and friendly service. I was expecting to wait a few days but the gentleman cut and drilled my order before I could even get my credit card out. Thanks for keeping my popcorn machine running for a bunch of hungry Scouts!”
