“Approachable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. Huge selection of Oregon wines in addition to wines from across the world. The tastings are great, and it great to see them support smaller wineries.”

“Great spot to enjoy a pint and grab some beer for home! Bunch of new coolers and nice renovation too. Sports on the tv, sidewalk seating, lots of nice seating inside, easy parking in back or on the street and friendly service! Great local beer tradition continued with the New Tons!”

“This is the best shop in Eugene for quality wines, a number of which you won't elsewhere in the area. Steve is particularly great at finding high quality wines at closeout or other discount prices. My specialty is Pinot Noir/red & white burgundies. Steve has an excellent palate for those varieties and decades of relationships in the wine industry in the US and France that provide access to small bottlings and great finds. He does the same for Italian wines. One thing I appreciate is his knowledge and intuitiveness at figuring out if you'd like a particular wine. Last month, I witnessed him trying to talk a customer out of buying a $175 bottle. Talk to Steve about what you like in a wine and he'll find a wine for or if he can't be honest and tell you. If you're a local resident and frequent wine drinker I recommend joining the wine club. It's a $100 a year and provides free tastings and 15% off purchases of even single bottles.”

“Brought my out of state family here to visit. If you want to get any State of Oregon items here's the place! They have choice of wines, jams, chocolates, nuts, gummies but also have the typical magnets, keychains, postcards, cups, t-shirts, and sweaters. Nice area but can be difficult to find parking.”

“California confused...The liquor store was unique in that it had a segregated area for the liquor. Normally in California liquor and beer and wine are all in one general area in a store, not segregated by liquor and beer and wine. The had all liquor types and sizes which was great and was able to get what I needed although I had to drive half across town to find the location. But I guess that is Oregon.”

“The BEST fresh sandwiches in town... HANDS DOWN! The way they assemble... apply your chosen condiments and offer up a variety of veggies, cheeses, breads and proteins is like every other sandwich shop combined... ON STEROIDS!!! They layer each offering perfectly, so if you can't get to your sandwich for a few hours it is never soggy. How in the heck do they wrap them up so tight and perfect is beyond me. Oh... they have a choice of sprouts and I always get the pea sprouts for crunch. If you add avocado, you won't be lifting up your Dave's Killer bread to see if it's actually there! It's there and it's visible! The bread choices are almost ridiculous... is it silly to say there are too many? Yeah... it's silly..: they aim to please all diners with every intricate sensitivity! The downside? Lunch hour is a ZOO.:: it is always packed... the lines are long and that can be intimidating. I've discovered their online order app and it is pretty seamless and it is the only place I order my food online. Pro Tip: they also sell a myriad of bread makers in their store. Including Metropol, Bread Stop and my personal favorite addiction: MODO bakery--- they bake their own bread for Beppe and Giani (among others)... they are family owned (locally).. they owners are the SHIZZ! If you're lucky enough to get the the Kiva early enough to snag a loaf... their PANINO loaf is my all time favorite (it also comes in half loaves for under $3. How's that possible? I usually roll in late and much to my dismay and self-loathing (that I didn't get there earlier) they are completely wiped out of every loaf! They have a little bit of everything, mostly leaning in on organics and local produce and other unexpected sundries. Their deli and supplemental offerings are highly respectable for a small market. They even have a book section and bulk food. Can you imagine that? Kudos to the Kiva! Pro tip: they have a large (FREE) parking lot on the side of their building... which is GOLD in downtown Eugene!”

“Me? Personally speaking, on a personal level, I dig this place. Eugene is full to the brim of these Mom and Pop Shoppes. One of the best things the city has going for itself. I cannot lie. Pleasant atmosphere here. Pleasing people work here. Any convenience or inconvenience you could wish for is to be found here. Go for it.”

“Really sad this place closed. This place truly stands out with its unique takes on pub food, offering a delightful twist to classic favorites. The friendly staff contributed immensely to the welcoming atmosphere. The service was impeccable, and they were more than happy to share recommendations and accommodate any special requests. Now, let's talk about the food - extraordinary! Each dish was a creative masterpiece, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and textures. From the first bite to the last, every dish was a culinary adventure. Even the basic burgers felt elevated. Beyond the gastronomic delights, the decor of the restaurant added another layer of enjoyment to our evening. The ambiance is chic and modern, with a cool and unique vibe that perfectly complements the innovative menu. It's evident that a lot of thought has gone into creating an environment that enhances the overall dining experience. A shame the new owners didn't keep it going.”
