Elegant Dog Grooming LLC
18645 SW Farmington Rd, BeavertonI have only used the self wash, and I drive a bit further to get here, because it's worth it. I've been here five times now, and will keep returning. The staff are kind and helpful, the tubs are cleaned between dogs, and their dryers are commercial grooming dryers, not underpowered consumer ones. The cleanliness is so critical and I visited several businesses with self wash before finding this one.
The Farmington Rd location is cash/check only as of this posting, but there is an ATM across the parking lot if you happen to fail to read the clearly posted signs before starting your wash (like I did the first time!).

Pet Care
Healing Arts Animal Care
14385 SW Allen Blvd Suite 102, BeavertonOur dog Harlow has double TLPO Surgery. We rehabbed her legs at Healing Arts, and it was the best experience. Harlow developed a fear of the vet during COVID, anyone in scrub like clothing would scare her. After about 10 minutes during her first visit that fear went away. The team was very sweet with her, they were very patient with her, and found the right treats to get her to trust them. She looked forward to going to Healing Arts each week. She loved doing the water treadmill, and then going to the gym to learn new exercises. We loved seeing her so openly work with the staff there, and she definitely enjoyed receiving their praise. Harlow is currently 13 weeks post op and is doing great! A lot of that is due to the great team at Healing Arts Animal Care. Thanks again!

Laurelwood Animal Hospital
9315 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, BeavertonWhen my dog got sick, I knew something was really wrong and needed urgent care. The team at Laurelwood was incredibly helpful—they were kind, patient, and found a way to see her right away, even without an appointment. Dr. Fullmer explained clearly what was wrong and recommended a straightforward treatment plan without unnecessary tests. She was pretty sick, and I was so grateful she could be seen quickly without needing an emergency hospital. The staff made me feel welcome and never like I was a bother. My little doggie is all better and back to her usual happy self! I’m so glad they’re my vets and would recommend them to anyone.

Northwest Exotic Pet Vet
2425 SW Cedar Hills Blvd, BeavertonSadly, after a short illness, we took our hamster Shelly to Dr. Ramsell but it was too late for anything to be done. Dr. R talked us through many different options but in the end we decided to humanely put Shelly to sleep. The office staff was so wonderful during this process as was Dr. R. And I’ve never had a doctor send such a nice sympathy note afterward. She obviously took so much time to write this out and I appreciate it so much!

NW Animal Allergy & Dermatology
9339 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, BeavertonDr. DeManuelle is the best! My six-year-old Cocker Spaniel had chronic skin, ear and eye problems that my neighborhood vet couldn't get under control after a year of expensive tests and medications. Within six weeks, my dog was back to himself and we had a reasonable and affordable plan to sustain his quality of life. I greatly appreciate not only the care Dr. DeManuelle took with my dog, but also the consideration for my time and budget. If you're frustrated, broke and need answers, let Dr. DeManuelle and the staff at NW Animal Allergy & Dermatology help!

VCA Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital
14831 SW Teal Blvd, BeavertonMy boyfriend and I had a very positive experience when bringing his cat Lilac here. She was incredibly anxious while waiting for her visit. This clinic had a separate waiting area for cats and blankets to help calm them down which was very refreshing to see. The vet techs were extremely communicative with their care steps and pricing of everything during our visit. I personally felt as if it was a smooth process filled with people who were extremely empathetic and professional. Thank you staff!

Off Leash K9 Training LLC
12755 SW Beaverdam Rd UNIT 1, BeavertonWe were very impressed with our whole experience with Off Leash K9 Training from our initial conversation all the way through our pup’s two week training. Koda’s trainer Joy was so lovely to work with, she was so loving and patient with her. We absolutely loved receiving daily photos/videos and updates on what she worked on and seeing her progress. We appreciated the time Joy took with us on pickup day to teach us how to use the ecollar and continue to work with Koda once home. We highly recommend this company if you’re looking for training for your dog.

CMK Pet Hotel & Daycare(Cooper Mountain Kennel)
21150 SW Farmington Rd, BeavertonWe have a Dutch shepherd who is a wonderful pet to us. He is a bit dog aggressive and as such finding appropriate boarding for him is a bit of a challenge. We called multiple kennels and got a recommendation from an other kennel (high end dog spa) to take our dog to CMK because their owner who also has a challenging dog takes theirs there as well. We were very pleased from intake to pickup. We were a bit nervous because of the other review mentioning their lost cat. I do find it a bit abusive for that person years later to continue to harass this small business. Mistakes happen - i run a business myself. Get over it and move on! Thank you CMK for taking care of our Pooch! Lastly their pricing is very reasonable for the service offered. (Pictures below are of our Bastian having a good time in their yard - he’s a bit of a prancer :-) )

BGs Food Cartel
4250 SW Rose Biggi Ave, BeavertonBG Food Cartel is fantastic. We were able to eat our food undercover, out of the rain, with heaters to keep us warm, football on the TV, beers on tap, and nice conversations with other patrons. There's about 20 or so food carts, so you'll definitely find what you're looking for.

Central Station Taps
3925 SW Rose Biggi Ave Suite 120, BeavertonI love Central. It’s close to home, they have indoor and outdoor seating, the people there are really nice (especially Amy, who always tries to have a stout or 2 on tap), and my dog feels so relaxed here (sitting outside of course). It’s just a cozy local hangout, and they have cool events all the time. A lot of my favorite bars and restaurants have closed since the start of Covid, so I really hope people help support this place so they’re able to stick around a long time.

Coffee Break
Coffee Break, BeavertonThe good: They serve a decent cup of coffee although it's Americano and not drip the way I prefer it. They serve it in a large ceramic mug and not a paper cup which is greatly appreciated. They are right at the Beaverton Round which is very handy. The inside is very comfy although not a lot of seating. There is seating outside which is very pleasant on a nice, warm, dry day. There's a goodly amount of free (3-hour) parking right in front which is much appreciated. The not-so-good. $5 for a cuppa joe?!?!? At that price it needs to be an outstanding cup of coffee. Theirs was "ok" but not $5 amazing. It's a line from Pulp Fiction.... They don't take cash! But on the plus side, they don't do the annoying 30% tip groveling when you checkout. They don't ask for a gratuity at all. To be fair, the rent on that shop is probably in the stratosphere. And there were only 1/2 dozen or so customers over the hour that I was there meeting with a friend. So I'm guessing they are just barely in the black if that. I likely won't be back as I have several coffee places closer to home that I like a lot. But this place was certainly fine and I did like the wait staff who I found to be very cordial. The employees seemed to be happy they were there which is something you don't see at places like Starbucks. So even though they are never going to be my favorite hangout, they still earned five stars.

Nebulous Taproom

Creekside Brewing and Tap Room
8840 SW Hall Blvd, BeavertonCreekside is a fantastic, relaxed brewery and tap room. It has a great small community vibe. The Creekside brewed beers are always delicious, and the selection of guest taps is carefully curated and constantly changing. They take pride in their choice of beers offered. The owners are great people and I always enjoy chatting with them. Trivia and Bingo are hosted here on alternating weeks and never fails to be a good time.

Avenue Saint Charles
4250 SW Rose Biggi Ave, BeavertonI feel this could easily have been a five. It's very possible I just got the wrong thing. I have always wanted to try but they are always closed when I come. I couldn't decide so I got the jambalaya and crawfish po boy. The jambalaya was pretty good. Rice had the right texture. A little light on proteins. Good flavor. Nice and spicy. Texture was a little dry. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that. It ended up being two meals worth though. Po boy was very good. I like the fry on the seafood but the ratio just wasn't right on the crawfish. I'd be willing to try shrimp next time. Really good chewy bread. Way too much mayo though. Fries were soggy and forgettable. Probably could have put it over the top I'd return for sure
