The staff works so hard to help the clients in their building. From food to clothing to helping find jobs and housing...the staff cares about what they do.

Their heat does not work and staff was worried about canceleing an online oder on her phone when I was late for work trying to have her hand me some of my money to pay a cab. More worried about phones then the people they need to help. If u plain on coming bundle up, rooms are freezing .

The Center for New Beginnings in Newark, OH, offers emergency lodging for individuals and families who are suffering. Established in 1983, this domestic violence shelter provides free food and safe housing for victims, no matter their age, gender, or socioeconomic level.
This compassionate staff serves residents in multiple capacities. Beyond meals and a place to stay, this domestic violence shelter offers group and individual trauma therapy and parental support. You can also receive assistance in filing civil protection and stalking orders, as well as benefit from support through child and victim advocacy.
