“This isn't my normal vet, but mine couldn't see my dog for a week and we needed to be seen sooner. They got me in next day, were super friendly, helpful and kind. Answered all my questions and took great care with my dog. Would absolutely recommend.”

“The Best veterinarians I've ever had the honor and pleasure of meeting and knowing. I've taken my previous fur baby there for more than seven years, since adopting her at three months old. Dr. Geisler, vet tech, Zach, and all the team have ALWAYS been courteous, kind, compassionate, understanding and highly professional EVERY time. I trust them and love them so much that even when I moved from Winston Salem, NC to Charlotte, NC, I'd still make the trip (plan a whole day of it) just to make sure my pup was getting the best care with the familiar faces we've come to know and appreciate.”

“Very friendly staff that actually cares about the pets. They don't do any unnecessary services or try to suggestive sell to up the bill. They are fairly priced. I've recommended them to all my friends and will continue to do so. I have a vet down where I live within 2 miles from my house and I would rather drive the 28 miles to them.”

“I was happy with how they worked me in without an appointment.. I was a little disappointed that the vet did not offer a prescription at my initial visit. But upon calling them the next day I was able to get a prescription antibiotic for my cat that is suffering from a serious gum infection.”

“Update October 2024: Oakes is still the best place in town for veterinary care from my experience all these years later. They helped us through two years of treating diabetes in an senior cat very compassionately and are now helping us deal with another senior cat as he deals with constant upkeep shots.

They're often very very busy, please be patient they're dealing with lots of other passionate pet parents.

TLDR: This vet is amazing, it is the number one place I trust with the health and well-being of my cats. I believe you should bring your pets here.

Since I live across the street from this shopping plaza I was ecstatic when my wife and I noticed the sign go up for a vet right here. We hadn’t had great experiences in the past with another vet nearby and hadn’t found an alternative in a couple of years, so this was perfect. One of our cats had some dental issues that the old vet had noticed, but the price at that vet was clown-shoes crazy so we were never able to get him taken care of the way we wanted.

At Oakes the initial visit, the dental work that included multiple extractions, the medicine my little guy needs, and the follow up visit all came out to about half of what a similar procedure had cost at the old vet. I am so, so, so grateful Oakes has allowed me to take care of my cat the way I wanted to without breaking the bank.

On top of the very reasonable price is the added bonus of an amazing staff that really cares about the animals they are treating. From the person at the front desk the Doctor treating my cat, every single person we’ve dealt with at Oakes has shown compassion and competency.

Also, the interior of the office is immaculately done. Between the calming setting of the lobby and the awesome exam rooms with large windows, the atmosphere kept my cat the calmest I’ve ever seen at a vet.

This is where I will be bringing my boys and where I will be recommending all my friends bring their pets. Oakes Animal Hospital is the best addition to this area in years.”

“This was my first time using Abri, as my regular vet was unable to get us in and I was very concerned about one of my foster kittens. I was frantically calling around trying to be fit in somewhere and the receptionist (Mackenzie I think) was so compassionate and was able to squeeze me in for a last minute, same day appointment. Not only that, but Dr. Reece was so knowledgeable and actually rescues cats herself so she understood my concerns. I will definitely be back!”

“The most caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable team! When my normal vet of 18 yrs refused to see my dog because "she was too ill" and there was "nothing they could do for her", the staff at Midway Vet immediately agreed to at least examine my dog. Not only did they treat her and help her recover, they requested daily updates! Both Drs are outstanding along with the staff - from reception to vet techs.”

“Dr. Andrew Cope and his staff at Hickory Tree Veterinary are the best. He has been so helpful over the last 3+ years with our Cattle/Cur mix who can be very nervous while at the vet's office. I gladly refer him to anyone looking for top-notch veterinary care.”

“Fantastic Veterinarians and staff. My elderly dog became very sick over the Fourth of July- took him to the closest veterinarian (not Mt Tabor) was charged excessive emergency fees- only for the Vet to tell us he could not find a problem. Sent him home on strong pain medication that made his issues much worse. Fast forward to today- brought him to see Dr.B. She listened to his heart and knew right away there was a serious problem. After an EKG and ultrasound we found out he has fluid around his heart and his cancer has most likely returned. Not the diagnosis I wanted but now we have an answer. We were also not rushed nor charged outrageous fees. Mount Tabor is a drive for me but I will gladly do it to take my dogs to them.”

“I started going to Wallburg Animal Hospital at the beginning of this year, when I got two puppies (Flower and Eclipse). They have been great, our puppies have gone for care and for boarding. I would definitely recommend anyone to take their pets here!”

“I absolutely love Ard-Vista! They were always extremely careful with my yorkie who had terrible health issues and a collapsed trachea. They saw us through both of my previous girls' passings and were so respectful of them through the process. Dr. Morrison even sent us heartfelt, handwritten card about how special he could tell our little Piper was to us and how sorry he was for our loss. We now have 3 Maltese. Dr. Gessner is our regular vet and he is extremely patient with me and my 1,000 questions as a constantly anxious dog mom. He always takes great care of my dogs and is very careful during procedures. The entire staff is fantastic and Jessica up front is an angel. I can not say enough good things about them.”

“Our family gives VCA Animal Hopsital our highest endorsement to care for your furry loved ones. Our dog, Gander, underwent surgery for cancer at VCA. Dr. Jackson and her team provided exceptional care and communication regarding Gander's health leading up to surgery, the day of surgery, and after the surgery, even if we had questions late into the evenings. It is evident that Dr. Jackson and her team geniuely care about the animals, and we would trust our dog's life in her hands again. Thank you, VCA!”

“Absolutely the best vet around. We've been going for a bit and love Dr Taylor-gotta saw we've passed the love on to Dr. Tamashiro! She was able to quickly pick up on our doggo's IVDD, previously diagnosed, and gave us a supportive plan. She's been nothing but insanely helpful, compassionate and caring with our pups, and the practice itself is always the best care. Everyone there is fantastic!”

“We took my boyfriend's pit bull there and the hardest part was getting that big dog into the van to get him there. The staff and vet were very good with him and gave him treats the whole time. They drew blood and gave him a shot, but he was so good and he didn't even have to be muzzled. The vet gave a good recommendation for dog food as well.”

“I bring my Fur Babies to this location. The Vets and Assistants are very knowledgeable about diagnosis of what is happening when there is a problem. They know how important your pets are to you as most have cats and or dogs themselves. They are very informative and keep records very well. You usually will receive a text and several calls to create and confirm appointments. They are expensive with certain medicines / procedures / tests tho so be prepared to bring your bank account LOL”

“The vet doc has always been pleasant, answers questions and makes comments as he is checking out my dog. He has always taken his time and doesn't seem bothered by our dog being a less than cooperative patient. The dog is upset just walking through the door and the staff are calm and tend to her needs. Our dog is muzzled for safety. She growls and is totally foolish while there.
But, they dont miss a beat while the dog is acting.out.Thank you. Neighborhead Vet. 8/20/24

“Emergency vet care is expensive, much like emergency human care. Owning a pet comes with financial responsibility of that pet and I don't think it's fair to blame the vet office because you can't pay for something. That being said - we received compassionate (and extremely costly) care from this hospital and if we have another emergency we will use them again.”

“The people here are very helpful. The staff is friendly, kind, and caring. I'm not skilled on internet or my own smart phone. Had it not been for the staff, one person in particular I never would have gotten a CareCard. Literally it took at least 2 hours or more b/c of all my failed attempts. I was ready to give up but the staff stepped in and with their knowledge they got me thru it. With everyone pitching in I finally got approved and got the card. They were very very patient with me. Never got annoyed with me and my ineptness, in fact reassured me that it was OK. The Vet was very informative. After my dog was examined she came in and explained everything to me about my dogs condition, the treatments and procedures they were gonna do and the probable outcome. My dog had to stay but the vet said they'd call with updates . She told me the approximate time she'd call. As I was finally about to leave the staff told me I could call anytime to see how my girl is doing. This was my first time here. I left there with a heavy heart b/c my dog is very sick but I know she is getting the very best care. She will be well taken care of until I can take her home. Having a sick family member( pet to some) is hard enough but here you and your animal are well cared for.”
