“The Front Street Inn places you smack dab in the middle of everything downtown Wilmington, super convenient. It's not your traditional Inn with a check in desk and bellmen; rather you check in with an entry code sent to your email before your stay. There is no official front desk, so we spoke with the people at the stand by the parking lot, and they were able to share information and assist bringing my parents' bags to their room, up a flight of stairs. There's a small sitting area on the balcony outside the rooms, and each room has its own unique decor. We love the eye for detail and design. Our room is The Hamptons, with two double beds and a separate room with TV and sitting area and desk (though it is open to the bedroom because no doors exist in the doorway; it would be cool if they had sliding doors to separate the spaces). The bar downstairs is lively and fun with amazing cocktails and a few small bite options, and it operates from the backyard yard of the Inn, so be prepared for a bit of noise from that and the street to filter into the room especially on weekends. This bar doubles as the Concord Espresso House that serves amazing espresso drinks and pastries in the morning. The indoor seating is low key elegant, a great spot to sit and start your morning.”

“This place is absolutely great for families with people in the hospital me personally my daughter born on the 5th of this month and year got transferred to novant with pretty bad lung issues and the secu did an amazing job comfortably accommodating me and my girlfriend with a room and home made food nights where they would make food free of charge for everyone
50$ a night cant eat in rooms
And they also have doggy Wednesdays where they bring therapy dogs in for an hour or two for everyone to love on and pet
Hands down great experience and I couldn't be thankful enough ??
The only reason its not 5 stars is because we did end up getting a room with bed bugs but they were quick to accommodate us and give us a free night or two for the troubles

“From the moment we arrived, we were wow’d by this hotel. Incredible staff! Every staff member we encountered was so friendly. For our anniversary, they gave us a bottle of wine for the room. That was such a thoughtful touch. Rooms were very spacious and clean, loved the LG TV!
Breakfast/coffee was really good and a perfect way to start the day. Pool was a perfect temp! This is the perfect place to stay in Wilmington if you’re wanting to be close to both the beach and the downtown area.
Also, the social hour they have Monday-Wednesday is incredibly well done! Great variety, especially considering it is complimentary. I couldn’t imagine staying elsewhere in Wilmington. Big thank you to the amazing staff and management!”
“My wife and I originally booked through Booking.com. We arrived in Wilmington and called the Front Desk to see if we could check in early. To our surprise, they had not received any information from Booking.com! No room had been reserved. On top of that—Booking.com charged our account. The staff at Aloft was very understanding and gave us a room at a comparable rate that Booking.com was supposed to reserve for us. All of the staff was amazing — especially Paul our morning Valet. Super courteous and professional. Location was amazing. We could walk anywhere we really wanted downtown without having to drive and find parking spots over and over. Highly recommend Aloft. We will be back!”

“WOW! After a string of not-so-wonderful hotels while traveling for work, this one seemed positively luxurious.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable from the moment we stepped in.
Our room was on one of the higher floors. It was perfection - plenty of pillows, great temperature, plenty of space - and most importantly felt very clean.”

“The hotel was nice with it's location being the best feature. Edited my service rating after I was able to contact the hotel and get a path to resolve it. I originally booked the wrong dates through Expedia and they said they couldn't cancel/refund my booking without hotel approval. The hotel said they couldn't cancel/refund because it was done through Expedia.
I was able get in contact with Shaundee (I hope I spelled that right) at the hotel. She was helpful and understanding, but still couldn't fix it without Expedia. I was able to get an Expedia agent to give her a call and had my issue resolved. May have been a bit of a pain, but from what I saw, it seemed more of an Expedia issue than a hotel issue - nevertheless, it has been resolved. And Shaundee was great!
Rooms: The room is small. No carpeting. Shower has low pressure.”

“It is a beautiful old house in the perfect spot, a 5 minute walk from everywhere I wanted to get to along the Riverwalk. The house is beautifully furnished, and my room was small but comfortable (perfect for a solo weekend retreat). They do a great job of creating a relaxing environment and regularly checked in with me via text. I plan on making many more weekend getaways here!Rooms: The real selling point for me was the garden tubs in every room. The house is nearly 200 years old, but the A/C and plumbing are in perfect condition.Walkability: The downtown Wimington area is just a couple blocks away! I didn't need to drive anywhere the whole weekend. However, parking in front of the hotel can be a little pricey.Food & drinks: All food here is vegan, but I was ok with using oaktmilk creamer so it wasn't a problem. There is self-serve coffee and tea 24/7 and breakfast served in the morning. I liked their cute room delivery packages, I had a sangria pitcher and snack tray in my room on arrival.”

“Don't store food in the mini fridges. I used to work in restaurants and knew I'd be here for some days so I brought a thermometer to make sure the mini fridges were safe for food storage. No good. The temp of the mini fridges was 49 degrees. That's much too warm to store food.
edit: Agghh! Sorry. I realized I put a 2 on service. The service from the people working there was awesum! That's a 5.”

“This was a wonderful stay. I stayed here with my family for 2 weeks while we waited for our home to be move in ready! Everyone was amazing besides Jaydah! Her attitude is wack, very rude & inconsiderate. If she isn’t a people’s person maybe she should find a new job or a job that doesn’t have her associating with much people. I guess this job for jaydah is answering calls from the desk, checking people in and that’s all she is to do. No needs were met. She asked me “what do you want me to do”? When I asked for kitchenware she stated a customer Who has been staying here long-term has it. Mind you guest are supposed to return kitchenware when they are done. Not hold it for days from other families and other guests ! I’ve been requesting for the same kitchenware since check-in
Their trash bags are also very thin, My partner asked her for another bag to double bag our clothes. She gave him an attitude and didn’t want to give a bag. Pure lazy and she is not representing Mainstay very great. Dylan & Zoey are amazing !!!! Very sweet. Very on top of what needs to be met. They will go the extra mile, don’t ask Jaydah she will give you a bad day!”

“You get what you pay for. Staff is extremely friendly. Rooms are very spacious. There are some minuses to it though. It is made for short people. Maybe 5ft tall. AC is not the best for someone who has hot flashes or just got in general. Be is very hard. If you like firm beds you will definitely get it. Towels are rough. Little bit of a smell but goes away after you've had AC on for a bit. Husband was very disappointed that there was no vending machines. It is clean, lots of room, and great water pressure.”

“I went there for a beach trip last summer and the stay at this red roof inn was ok. Not the best and not the worst. I would say one thing would be stains on the bed. There were a few of them. We just decided to put our own covers on the bed as sheets. The pool was a greenish color, until the cleaner came to work on it. It didn't take long to be fixed. The location is also near many food places like Waffle house, Dunkin donuts, and Hooters. I do recommend this place for a family vacation hotel that is cheap and affordable.”

“Everything seemed new to me. I didn't find anything broken. Only the bed sheets and pillowcases aren't clean; everywhere the bed linens aren't clean because it's easy to smell sweat on the pillows. That's disgusting, and that's why I have my own.”

“Visiting on Labor Day weekend and needed something last minute. Travel Inn was the onlyplace that could take me. Close to many stores, 20 min from Wrightsville Beach. I stayed 2 nights and my room was clean, decent price, friendly housekeeping service. Would stay again if I needed to. Only thing is the traffic/outside noise but the air conditioner helped to drown the outside noise out. ? Also; I wish they had of had breakfast other than that 10/10 would recommend.”

“Baymont was never one of my faves but my last visit proved that things have changed. I believe it has changed management over the summer and the change is appreciated as the new owners are friendly and accommodating. I was able to check in early even though the room was booked in my boyfriend's name he told him I would be checking in alone while he was still at work and they were able to do that for us with no hassle. He was able to book and pay for the room online I showed up showed my ID and checked in it was a very easy process the most businesses seem to overcomplicate these days. Also noted was the renovation going on the room I had was newly renovated with a huge bathroom that was super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful I was able to extend another night without having to change rooms and I got my deposit back at the end of my trip. I will definitely be staying again and would recommend to others”
