Be mindful of the cancel clause they are more concerned with collecting the fine than providing a service. Our sellers got cold feet and did everything to back out of the contract and we wanted to cancel when we got to the first delivery date. The customer service rep said are you sure or do you want to push the date so we weren’t sure and we knew we were going to move so we pushed. Things get hectic they with drew the deposit and I called them again to confirm we did not have a closing date and not to ship containers but we still plan on moving so hold the money. Yesterday they call to cancel and returned my deposit minus a fee. I won’t me a good reference and I won’t be using Pack Rat for my up coming move and my recommendation is find another company because they aren’t about customer service.

I called I'm for help with my move and a service agent named Erica was the best.. she really cared about my move and helped me get all my date's scheduled.. she really is the best customer service agent that I ever dealt with.

I am very unhappy with the company and the way it does business. The call center's employees have no sense of urgency or understanding of what good communication looks like, or what it is like to move a disabled elderly person across the country. They did not attempt to address my concerns until I became frustrated and angry with the call center employees and began to raise my voice out of frustration. The container was not dropped off or picked up on the days they were scheduled. When I called the call center, they were repeatedly unable to reach the transportation center in Plymouth, MI to find out the reasons why, and claimed they attempted to email them several times, receiving no response. The lack of communication and customer service we received when calling to try and straighten out the issues were horrific, and we were offered nothing to ease our concerns until I became irate with the individual on the other end of the phone and asked to speak with a supervisor. I should never have to raise my voice to get a company to follow through with their service agreement. Now, I've been charged fees for the company's errors, and I want them to honor the agreement to move my mother for the $3100.00 they quoted me and refund the fees that I was overcharged, in the amount of $815.62 due to their errors and issues. They also added something called a fuel subsidy and repositioning charge.

We used pack rat for an out of state move. They scheduled us incorrectly and our container was delayed. Causing us to have to find new movers last minute and lose deposits. The compensation they offered us was not sufficient for the stress and hassle.

I get a call the day of my move, that has been planned for months, that my storage containers aren't being delivered anymore because we've been deprioritized for more local deliveries. We received this call 20 minutes before our receipt-of-units window.After having this in the system for so long and paying thousands of dollars for the long term move, we were told the estimated refund was... $50. An absolute spit in the face, backed by no reassurance that our units would be delivered the next day either.Recommend you find another organization to work with, especially if planning a long distance move, as any preplanning you may do is worth little to them.

In reply to your response to my review. This was booked by my wife Karen Stanton The order number is 1963394. To give you the details again that I have already given to your resolution manager Darius. I booked the delivery online on June 9th for delivery on June 15th. The booking was confirmed by return email. Had you delivered the containers on time, they would have been emptied the same day and could have been collected by your company the following day. I would also point out that your online delivery order system Does NOT allow the customer to set up a collection date.Before you use this company please look at alternative options. We spend over 24,000 with them. The final delivery of the 2 containers was a disaster. I booked it online and received a email confirmation of the booking and paid extra for an AM delivery. On the day nothing turned up and it took over an hour to get through to customer service on the phone. After some time the service assistant said the system had not worked and the booking had not been made. We spent $440 on labor to help unload the container for which Pack Rat will only refunded $200. It took a lot of effort to get them to deliver the 1st pod the following day. After delivery of the first container which we emptied ourselves the Fort Myers facility manager did not want the driver to pick up the empty container when he delivered the 2nd one. To cap it all I was charged for two full months rent on the containers about $700 for the 5 extra days over the monthly due date. Has this company never heard of prorations. We had two good experiences one from the delivery driver and one a customer service member. My advise don't use this company there must be more better option available. This was my second time with the company.

Don’t use them.Sales person lied to me and said price was all-in, no added charges. They will charge fuel/transportation subsidy, lock fee, $50 charge for AM or PM wide pickup or drop off window (rather than anytime), container repositioning fee, administrative fee, personal property fee, regulatory license fee and other recoupment fee.After pushing them on these charges - they would not answer the questions and constantly wanted to skirt around it.

Save yourself from this experience.Overpromising and under-delivering. My units were scheduled to be picked up on the 19th. Two days later, they were still in my driveway. The 8-10 business day delivery of my pods were impacted and pushed back until AFTER the July 4th holiday. Customer service agents, sales reps and managers had different explanations, different communications and different timelines. The compensation for this experience was $100 on a $6k order. Not acceptable by any standard. Go with a more reputable organization.

They have been spot on! From the delivery of the empty container to moving the container to our new home has been flawless. The packed container arrived and, surprisingly, nothing in the container had shifted. I suppose that speaks to the way we packed it and the way Pack-Rat moved it. No hidden fees!

I have used 1-800-Pack Rat for 2 long distance multi-state moves, and they did not disappoint. The rates were very reasonable for what I needed, and their customer service and support made a very stressful move much easier. Their drivers were very skillful and courteous and the follow-*** were also on point. If I ever need to (which hopefully I can stay put for a while ??) I would be using their services again.

100% recommend using this company. I never used a storage **************** made this experience stress free. They were professional & very timely. **************** was always attentive to my needs & gave proper information throughout the whole process. Price was on target with other companies.

This was my first experience with containerized moving as opposed to renting a truck and moving it myself. I was very pleasantly surprised with 1-800-PackRats excellent customer service and pick-up and delivery process and will not be renting a moving truck again. The first customer service person that I spoke with was glad to accept a lower quote from PODS (as advertised) for a 16 container and provided an email (at my request) stating that there would be no fuel rate increase surcharges for the quoted itinerary. The empty container was delivered in great shape on the date promised with a heads-up call. I had to delay the pick-up once (I needed more time), but this was politely accommodated by the customer service representative. The 16 container accommodated about half the contents of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, as I had expected after doing the calculations for the items I wanted to move in their spreadsheet. I weighed boxes, etc. to get as close to the ***** lb limit and pretty much filled the container without maxing out on the weight. The drivers were professional and helpful throughout the long-distance delivery process, which was easy to track on the 1-800-PackRat website in my account. The container arrived with the contents in the same shape as when packed by me. Pick-up of the empty container also occurred as scheduled with no problems. Billing and payment services were as described in the contract.

Selling a house and buying a new house was stressful enough! I was so glad that I decided to use Packrat to help me with my move! If I used the traditional route of getting a Uhaul, I would have to load it up (1), taking it to a storage area (2) unload it, then when I was ready for my move reload a truck (3), go to my new house and unload it into my house (4) . That means I would have to do 2x as much loading and unloading! In addition using Packrat, you have to load it only having a small 4" step up, instead of 2-4' climb up a ramp (if you truck has one). Also I find driving a big truck to be stressful. With Packrat, I had none of that! If I did the traditional route, I would have had to hire people to help me, with Packrat, I was able to load it myself (even at 60 years with an autoimmune disorder) so I know it was packed right. The inside bars allowed me to secure my loads.I found Packrat's steel containers stronger than the wood based container companies. I also told Packrat about my other quotes and they matched the quote and also gave me a couple of extra days (on top of the month). So it was the least stressful part of my move! I was also so pleased that NONE of my things were broken in the process!Their 16' containers are big and strong... my only wish would be for them to get 20' containers.
