“Havelock Animal Hospital has been taking care of my cat, Hekitty, for years now. EVERY experience has been positive, even when I came in panicked with a very sick cat. She was in the throws of an acute pancreatitis attack. The staff took EXCELLENT care of her, and calmed my shattered nerves with compassion. Hekitty is NOT an easy cat. She's a bit of a problem child, with a quick temper, and does not like being handled by anyone she isn't very close to. The staff there handle her firmly, but gently, and with great competence. I couldn't ask for a better team for my cat's care. I had to take my neighbor there when it became obvious that her very elderly little Boston Terrier had reached the end of his life. Their care and concern during the euthanasia process and afterward was magnificent.”

Dr. Truskey just did surgery on my 14yo rescue dog. She is an excellent veterinarian and one I highly recommend.”

“I took my labs to Dr Westbrook for many yrs. He is a great vet. Sarah is a very compassionate about animals. When my Charcoal Labrador Retriever passed away it was very hard on me. She was a gift I received from a boyfriend when I returned from deployment. She was only 6 weeks old. My adorable little light charcoal puppy with blue eyes ~ Stormy Rain. I moved to Morehead City in 2013 and was in need of a local vet. That's when I heard great things about Dr Westbrook and his staff so I chose him to treat my Stormy. In 2014, he removed a large tumor from her neck. She recovered well and went on to live, until she passed away at 14 yrs old. I loved her dearly and was heartbroken when I lost her. She was my {Navy} baby girl ~ my first lab. Dr. Westbrook and his staff took care of everything. I received a sympathy card, with a special poem inside, from the staff at Newport Animal Clinic.”
