Don't bank here. After the BB&T transition to "Truist", my brother and mother went there to put his name on her checking account because she is in her 80s and wanted him on the account to handle bills and funeral expenses. They went in person on two occasions to get this set up. Two years later, and now mom has passed, they inform him that the account is only in her name. It, "fell thru the cracks" we were told. So now, we get to cover all expenses, with Truist stating, "it happens". That's it. "IT HAPPENS". Yep, it sure did Truist, thanks to YOU dropping the ball. YOU are not inconvenienced one little bit by this, no wonder you do not care. And when asked for a reason why this happened--after two visits, and 2 years later? "I guess you are looking for some satisfaction" Jeff informs us. Um, YES Jeff, a viable reason WHY we just got bent over would be thrilling. But hey, we don't expect you or Truist to make it right, clearly you have no intentions of that happening. So, folks, if you use this joke of a bank, make sure you walk them thru anything you need, because when they mess up, it is no big deal to them, just YOU. Enjoy. And yes, the account will be closed asap and we will use a different, competent bank for all future financial needs.

Just want to share with everyone the most horrible experience I had with a bank. I went today as every Friday to cash my check and asalways deposited as cash . Well the teller I didn't get her name but she is a white woman with blond me short hair. As I did my transaction she made a mistake giving me more cash than should so I turn around and told her she had done wrong I don't keep others people money I don't work for. However she was glad I did so wmshe went and reversed the transaction no problem I told her I needed my money that was why i hmgo cash and smdeposut as cash. Well after few hours still my money is not available so I went back to the bank wasting more time and gas, just to come to the conclusion that there is nothing she can do. I wanted to talk to a manager but as usual the manager are never available so went to talk to a gentleman in one of the offices I think his name is Mike so he tried to see what can he do to come to the same solution money will not be available until the next business day.whivhvthat put me on having late fee's on payments that shall be done today4/52024 I explain that to them and even he said they will take care of the late fees to me this is plain and simple very unprofessional either that woman need to have more training or need to be fired. Her mistakes cost money to all of us for using their bank where they make money out of our money I'm definitely not a happy person and soon as my money is released to me I will definitely closed that account. I advise everyone to look at the reviews they are there for a reason. Look for a better bank. I have a much better bank than this was using this one for convenience but I definitely not happy hope she gets fired to be honest . I rather travel an extra 20 minutes out of my way than to give my business to this trust institution. To their Manager please look at your employees if they are not people that can be trusted why hired them? Just to have help? If cannot handle small transactions how do they deal with larger amounts? Really hope this bank hits the ground. I don't have much and did try to trust your bank but this has placed a very bad taste on my soul..

Absolutely horrible customer service. Waited on hold for 20 minutes for a supervisor only to be disconnected for being “rude”. Waiting on hold for that long will never be acceptable. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES! Ya’ll should not be in business. From the looks of it, you won’t be much longer.

Please do your research before opening an account here. I currently have a complaint with the FDIC here because they hide "junk fees" to force overdrafts so they can rob you blind. Bad business! Please don't bank here

There are some really great, super sweet tellers at the New Bern location and there are some not so nice ones. I’ve stood in line a few times now and witnessed nasty attitudes and just some very prickly customer service; namely Jessica and the little red head there. It seems they are so literal, they’re only ever able to tell a customer No, instead of troubleshooting or offering a solution. Whatever the reason for the attitude or demeanor, it needs to get checked at the door - or you’re free to find employment elsewhere.

Unable to reach anyone by phone, arrive at branch and unable to get items completed since questions over phone not answered/ don't have required documents with me (since questions not answered via phone), new appointments difficult to schedule due to Truist personnel limited hours, Truist has long complicated procedures to handle banking needs when other bank handles same procedure quickly and efficiently. Will be changing banks.

Constantly long wait time sometimes Hours. Never enough employees, after the long wait you get an incredibly high charge to cash your check. Nothing at all is good about bbt.
