I DEFINITELY Would not recommend that you sleep at the Quality Inn in Monroe unless you are dead tired and have the best ear plugs or if the only other option YOU HAVE is sleeping on the street. incredibly loud, because the room was about 20 feet from one of the busiest roads, walls are paper thin and there were no premium channels. This is a very old/old hotel and it shows. It has a very sleazy single door entrance too. But, I liked the waffles. You have to make them yourself, but they were good. And it was under $100. And to be fair the sheets and bed and room were clean. Price and waffles and clean room my reason why I gave it two stars instead of one. Noise is the biggest big issue. I would not recommend. Maybe get a room on the east side in the very back would have a quieter room. If you're desperate.

If I could give this dump zero stars, I would.I arrive to check in, spelled my name, and all- woman tells me that I don't have a reservation and then provide the names of everyone who checked in within the past 48 hours. (Hope no one wanted to be confidential)She charged me 4 times and told me they would settle it in the morning. I insisted she handle it on the spot. She made sure I was aware that I was inconveniencing her as she had to make a phone call. The woman called the manager, took a while to walk through the steps (not super long) but it was resolved. (Refund process 5-6 minutes since she needed walked through the steps)I asked for a copy of the receipt, the woman tells me they don't give those. I asked for any type of paperwork, she said I can come back to the office when I check out. I insisted that I felt some form of documentation from her since I delt with her. She states, it's going to take a while. She'd have to make another phone call. It's embarrassing. I told her I've stood here long enough I'm going to need a receipt to verify everything. (Receipt process 5 min)She makes the call, prints the receipt in matter of seconds.I enter the room, tell my son to lock the door, he smacks a bug. Before he could lock the door, my daughter steps on a bug. I tell them not to sit anything down, move the shower curtain and 5 bed bugs fall out of the SHOWER CURTAIN.Obviously we leave and I go back to request a refund. The woman made the call, refunded my money, printed my receipt, in a matter of seconds.Her attitude was horrible. The room was not clean as the bathroom was dirty (urine ring around toilet). I didn't stay long enough to check anywhere else. Clearly this place is infested if they're on the carpet, shower curtain, and door.Rooms: Bed bugs. Rust and urine stains. Run.

I’d like to give the hotel a better review but I can’t. The staff was great, in that they let me check in early, but not helpful when the coke machine ate my money. The room was ok, but the bathroom was horrible. The faucet for the tub stuck out just as pipe an inch from the wall. And when I went to fill the tub, the shower ran constantly as well. I was in the room by myself, so I didn’t close the bathroom door until my next to last day. Apparently the cleaning staff doesn’t close the door to clean there either as there was dried urine on the wall. And the pool was closed. Please For the Love of Heaven, avoid all Choice Hotels!!!

Walked in the room. It felt muggy. Put my bags down and left for the evening. When I returned later that evening, I found three roaches going in and out of the heating system. I went to the front desk and told the clerk. She didn't act surprised at all. I checked out. I got refunded the next day.

The room was clean. The knob on the tub came off into my hand, but I worked around it. The microwave had a short in it. I used the one in the lobby. My worst dissatisfaction and disgust came with Maria, the kitchen attendant who displayed prejudice with the guests of a darker complexion. She would stare them down to see what all they would put on their plates, while overlooking the Caucasian guests. My husband saw her stare at us from the blinds. It that's not the kicker, she tried to follow me to my room. My business team and I was appauled by her narcissistic behaviors.

This is an older hotel and it needs a lot of work to update the rooms. If you are looking for a cheaper price point, this works but I doubt I would stay at this hotel again. The front desk clerk was very helpful However.

The rooms were decent . The bed was my favorite it was EXTREMELY comfortable ? . The only thing I did not like was I called before attempting to check in and the girl on 3rd shift advised she had rooms available for check in for tonight then when I arrived at the hotel she said “I cannot check u in because I just did audit” I asked if she was the one I just spoke with over the phone and she said “yes but I didn’t know u meant now” (poor customer service skills because I had already explained that) due to not being able to check in me and my 3 children which one is a newborn had to sleep in the car because it was my last and she didn’t care at all that it was her mistake because I could have booked elsewhere . Then she told me I could come back at 7 to check in early . I called at 6:55 to ask if we could check in now and she said “no u have to wait until we receive the booking” mind you before I booked when I called I asked when booking online when will she receive it and she stated “instantly” she needs more training on paying attention to customer details because it caused me and my babies to have to sleep in the car for another 5 hours before I could check in

This is not a review of the hotel, but a review of Kristen. I had quite the nightmare with Bookings, and Kristen was very helpful and courteous and answered all my questions. This is how customer service should be. Thank you Kristen, and I hope I spelled your name correctly.

Rooms are very nice and clean the only thing I wasn't happy about was the TV could not find any local stations or news took you a long time to figure out how to work the remote control and still wasn't anything on TV and they actually had smoking

There was some confusion when I arrived to check in because the night auditor didn't read the notes on what time my arrival was. But they got me a different room and fixed their mistake. The room was clean. Located on a main highway with shopping right across the street. Very convenient. Would stay again.Rooms: Clean. Bathroom a little small though.Food & drinks: There are a lot of restaurants right on the main highway.

Room was very clean. Lobby area is nice. Everyone that works there was friendly. Great location! Walking distance to Walmart and restaurant's. Breakfast was great. Grab n go but excellent selection. Will definitely come

It was decent enough to sleep. The staff at check in was incredibly friendly to me and the guests checking in before me. The room seemed to have been updated. Bed clean, bathroom very clean…. But the carpet might have been the nastiest carpet I’ve ever seen in a room. I kept my shoes on until bedtime. Despite other reviews, it was a quiet evening w no disturbances outside. The breakfast area was clean and surprisingly well stocked.

I'm very frugal; I'm intentional in how we steward our finances and like to save money when I can.That said, coming here, I soon realized sometimes I need to loosen up and be less of a tightwad. While the room was relatively cheap and had a "very good" rating on a third party site, it was one of the more uncomfortable stays I've had in years. There were people hanging out outside our room, drunk people swearing. While I don't generally prefer that kind of atmosphere, traveling with two young children makes me much more aware of anything that seems a bit untoward.As for the room, it took a while to actually open the door with the key. I almost went down to the front office to ask for assistance. Once inside, the buttons on the AC unit were scratched out and it looked as though one of the locks on the door was missing. The toilet didn't flush well -- I'm glad there was a plunger.Around 4am, someone's car alarm went off, and my husband immediately catapulted out of bed to see what was going on. Overall, it just felt cheap and sketchy.The staff was friendly and there were good breakfast options.I was relieved to get our family out of this place -- and glad we had locked our car doors. No more Quality Inns for us -- I may like saving money, but, dear, you have to draw the line somewhere.

Beware hotboxing cockroaches!1 star because I couldn't give zero.My family stayed in two adjoining rooms this past weekend.One of the rooms we were assigned smelled strongly of weed despite leaving the window open almost the entire time we were there in nearly freezing weather. None of our group partakes.I killed/disposed of no less than 6 cockroaches during a 38 hour stay despite taking food trash to an overflowing trashcan in the vending area on the second floor and a nearly full trashcan outside on the ground level.The security lock on the door between the stairwell and the main lobby was broken, so we had to go around the building to get to the breakfast area.All that said, the staff were very polite and helpful! They emailed me asking for a review and I provided similar details.

The staff here is so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good, rooms clean and well stocked, seemed to meet all current choice standards. Check in and out were smooth and pleasant. The pool was out of order the whole time (on and off over a period of 5 months for work).
