Electricities has to be the WORST power company that ever existed. Their systems and processes are so archaic!! You have to send in a void check to be on autopay. Last year I was given a handwritten receipt when I upgraded my power line to my house. Their service is horrible. They lie, mislead, and because they are so outdated fees easily rack up because they have such OLD OLD systems. Two years they say they are updating their systems. Now they say last 8 months and still in testing phase. Nobody knows what they are talking about there. One person says one thing and another says something else in 100% contradiction. The excuse for the inconsistency? "Not in the training program" REALLY??? Training program is clearly just as outdated as the company!!
I can't tell you how much I would switch if I had an option. I don't know how some of them sleep at night the way they treat people.
Electricities needs to realize it is 2024 not 1990!! Get a clue!!

There’s a reason the reviews are awful! Their website is so outdated and it’s so hard to get in contact with ANYONE! I’ve been trying to contact all month because I needed to turn my account off and they finally answered and are charging me $200 EXTRA dollars for energy that I didn’t use because I don’t even live there! The woman who “helped” (Kia) was super unhelpful and couldn’t even email me my bill because I had just turned my account off literally on the same call not even a minute earlier. I’ve had issues the entire year trying to pay bills and trying to get in contact. If you can use someone else, use someone else!

The supervisor Katherine helped me set up my account while I was oversees and had no access to the site, during her own vacation. I just spoke to a new associate Deira who made the ACH process so fast and easy.

Awful power company. Website is outdated and clunky - absolutely terrible. If you miss ONE payment, your account is on a hold and you have to pay in person with cash or check. Outdated and terrible service. Get better please.

Power went out at midnight.Called the outage phone number and was told by a rude lady that it was scheduled maintenance and the power would be turned back on at 3 am. Scheduled maintenance no one was told about for 3 hours with temperatures in the 30s. Disgusting.

This company is an amazing time machine! It takes you straight back to the 90s with their website and even to earlier eras with their service. You cannot open an account online and when you finally do it through the phone you realize there is no auto-pay! So what's the point of an online account then?!It's a joke. Stay away from them if you can. I wish Google had an option for zero stars.

This is literally the worst electric company in the state and probably the world ! Please DO BELIEVE the 1 start that they have ! Please consider doing your research on this scam company before moving to Huntersville ! I wish Huntersville would get rid of them completely and bring in Duke energy !

The absolute worst electric company! I wish that electric wasn't a monopoly and that we had options. This company has ZERO compassion for anyone, heat indices up to 100 today and they shut it off for being 3 days late, are you freaking kidding me!
