“Typically, a very clean store. Staff and cashiers are friendly and super helpful. The meat department tends to be over-shopped, this is not the fault of the store, more the population density and lack of other grocery stores in the area. Great cold beer selection, again probably do to the population density of the area. The store recently did a bit of a refresh and moved several items, like eggs and mushrooms are harder to find then one would think they should be. Plenty of parking. Grocery carts are in working order. The selection and variety are in keeping with other Food Lions.”

“I go to this store all of the time. I recommend moving the aisles so that customers have more space to stand in line. Also all customers matter, not just construction or hard labor workers.”

“9-16-23Excellent tacos. The joint is like a convenience store selling Mexican foods with a small restaurant (no interior seating but two picnic tables out front). Expect takeaway.Came for the tacos. Las Carolinas has a couple of aspects that stick out to me that you might not find at other taco joints. There are grilled onions and a jalapeño on the side. So only cilantro as a garnish, but of course, they have green and red salsa. Like some joints, radishes and lime are also an option on the side.Did al pastor and barbacoa. The al pastor is a great version, including some pineapple throughout. Seasoned nicely. The babacoa is wonderfully juicy and flavorful. Awesome. These are single tortilla tacos, but we found these a tad thicker than other joints and made for better eating and less falling apart.Las Carolinas does other food items such as tortas, sopes, etc. But the tacos would be hard to shy away from. Exhaustive meat selection if you prefer a different taco.Good stuff.

Parking: Small amount to the left”

“We stopped in the store this evening simply to pick up a couple of submarine sandwiches for dinner. There was a minor issue encountered while we were in the store. Upon leaving, I had the opportunity to speak with the Manager Dwight about what had happened. Dwight took the time to explain why this had transpired and was able to take note for training opportunities. So, why the 5-Star review? Well, for years this store has maintained high standards and nearly every interaction is exemplary. Tonight, Dwight demonstrated why this location excels. Strong Leadership and fantastic Employees are not an accident. Dwight is clearly a Man that cares, and he is a credit to the Lowes Food Brand.”

“Good prices and conveniently close to my house (actually, there are so many FL stores, it's difficult to not have one close to you, LOL). Only negative comment about this particular location is that employees are outside smoking too close to the entrance, usually by the Redbox machine. Can't they smoke in the back of the building?”

“They have a nice variety of products. There's also some fresh made foods available during certain hours. Now there's also a gasoline perk! You can save up to $35 per fill up and there's lots of ways to earn bonus points. Get their VIC card and they have digital coupons every week. Also on Thursday, senior discount on most purchases if you're over 60.”

“At face value this is your typical food lion. When you pull up to the building your greeting by the everyone's favorite blue lion. Subway to the left, Chinese restaurant to the right, a nail salon somewhere in between. All of which is a familiar sight when pulling up to the kitty.

However, what you don't know is when you enter the store is just how lucky you are to be there. The guy on the big thing that waxes the floor majestically streaming past you as the smell of freshly baked bagels and tightly packed sushi immediately enters your nasal cavity. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the sound of items being scanned at the registers is plentiful.

And lastly, you will always feel like you're at home at the store. Not only because its so well run, but because the entire riverwood neighborhood decides its time to go to food lion at 5pm on a Sunday. You are virtually guaranteed to see four of your neighbors buying a case of beer and a food lion brand pizza, just like you are.”

“Always a great burger. I get a bacon double cheeseburger, and that's all I need. No chips or anything else on the side. I happened to be in the area and hadn't been for a while so I stopped in. I did try their chicken salad for the first time, and it was okay but not really my cup of tea - it was a little too sweet for my taste, but that's just one person's opinion. I'm glad I tried it, though. People rave about it. The larger parking area is really nice.”

“I'm an absolute junkie for tightly wrapped Carolina dogs that I can eat standing next to my car, and The Grocery Bag is the perfect spot for that. Just an amazing dog and well worth the drive to Clayton.”

“They're reorganizing the store again. Or they're cleaning the floors. Does seems more spacious. They've got just about everything in the store - except 4 cup coffee filters.”

“Only downside was the greeter didn’t say ‘hi, welcome to walmart’; like, I’m pretty sure that person is getting paid to do that. Instead, kept their back turned to me the whole way in and out of sight.”
