“I absolutely love this store and having it and Harris Teeter so close to one another is just so cool. I don't know how they co-exist so close together, but they succeed very well at carving out their own individual niches. I like the layout because the juices and such are right near the door and I don't have to go all the way to the back of the store like I do others. Everyone that works at Publix is very kind and courteous. If I can't find something, they drop whatever they are doing to not just tell me what aisle it is in, but actually take me all the way to find it. Fantastic customer service!”

“My son's 18th birthday was Saturday and on Friday we realized through miss communication we forgot to order the cake. In comes Marge ??... I called around 10am to food lion to order the cake and Marge was amazing. She was so understanding and attentive to my dilemma. She took my order, noting the writing on the cake and colors to make this cake special in spite of it special eventhough it was last minute... and she had it done by 1pm on the same day. Marge is AMAZING!! Thank you Food Lion Wendell bakery.”

“So I’ve been to this place here and there. And honestly first off, the employees here are super friendly. They are absolutely amazing, secondly, the food over there taste so delicious. The cooks really put actual care and love into that food. It is just perfection, lastly, there is a variety of candies and drinks to choose from. So I would absolutely recommend this store.”

“This still one of my favorite stores to visit. It's always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. IF you have not ordered a custom cake from their bakery, you are missing out! They have great pricing and some of the best cake we have had from a store. We have ordered the 8 inches round cakes in various custom designs, cake flavor, filling, and icing. For us that is the perfect size, but I have see others purchasing larger cakes and rave about how good they are as well!”

“As long you act respectable in the store, They're are no problems that I've had. Alcohol is cheap, Tobacco products stay fresh, Drinks and snacks may be a little pricey but you're in the middle of nowhere and it's more convenient than running to Foodlion. I've seen the owner give a pack of now and laters to a kid that had parents (regulars) that couldn't afford it at the time; He's friendly to those who aren't acting a fool. Especially because of the area, He has to watch everybody with a close eye.”
