I brought over the wheel from a different vehicle in my trunk that needed a tire replacement; they were able to find a match and bend the rim back in place just enough to get the new (used) tire on. “Great service and very nice!! I had a mishap traveling from Richmond to chapel hill Thursday afternoon. A FedEx truck had lost several large sections of tire tread on 85 south that I could not avoid. I ran over the tire tread which damaged my car's undercarriage tray. When I got to my sister's in chapel hill I called the closest auto shop I could find. The gentleman that answered listened to my mishap and stated he would certainly help me out. I drove over and of course I need to have the tray replaced however the 2 gentlemen were able to secure the tray until I got back to Richmond. I will definitely keep this shop in mind when I visit as well as my sister was very impressed with the friendly services. Not overpriced or did not tried to take advantage of my problem. I also want to support small businesses!Thanks for the great service.”
“These guys are the embodiment of what an automotive shop should be and truly live up to the chapel hill tire philosophy. I have a lowered car and it can be a pain to align it, however these guys didn't refuse nor complain and instead worked closely with me to get it on the machine and getting the alignment to the specs I'd prefer. Vaughn was awesome, talked to him about the car and what I wanted and he communicated very clearly to me. unfortunately, due to my car being lowered, it wouldn't work with their equipment. Still, they tried their hardest to help me, recommending me to diff shops and locations. I believe Chris was the gentlemen I spoke to at the front desk/phone and he was so helpful in the next steps of getting my car aligned. although I didn't get any work done these guys still deserve 6/5 stars, awesome shop.”

“It was a process, and an unfortunate and unexpected outcome with the rims I wanted. Both Anna and the dude who assisted with doing the tire change were top notch. It wasn’t their fault but the rims weren’t as expected. Let’s just say gloss black with the red trim isn’t always what they appear inside on display. Once I saw them on and outside in the sun it was NOT the ones I wanted.Much respect for Rim Tyme doing the right thing and getting me out the door to keep me satisfied. As always they have a huge selection of rims at a reasonable price.”

“I owe this shop this review.On Thursday, 11 Jan, this shop was kind enough to put air in a tire for me during a day trip to Durham. I had replacement of all four tires scheduled for the next week in Richmond, but on the way to Durham that day, somewhere south of South Hill, I’d picked up a nail causing a slow leak in the right front tire.Once alerted to the leak, between South Hill and Durham, I stopped at four service stations hoping to top off the tire with air. NONE had working air pumps. Following an appt at Duke Hospital, the tire was flat. I stopped at three more service stations with non-functional air pumps before finding my way to this shop. I considered replacing all four tires right then, but I don’t live in Durham, replacement was scheduled in Richmond, and other things were pressing. A fill at this shop, another at Love’s in South Hill, and purchase of a portable compressor just in case, got me home to my own garage and compressor.All the same, I owe Mr Tire this thanks. The technician who helped me was professional, courteous, kind, and a genuine Godsend after SEVEN useless stops earlier (two Sheetz, an Exxon, two BPs, a Shell, and a mom & pop station). Where do people fill their tires these days?! If I lived in Durham, this shop would get my business. As it is, they at least get my thanks, and this review.”
“I got to the perfect place when I had car trouble away from home on Labor Day weekend: Chapel Hill Tire on 15/501 and a woman named Daisy! Professional, understanding and thorough, Daisy led me through all the steps that would take place to repair my car, got all my contact information and handled everything exactly as she said she would. From start to finish Daisy provided me with every detail I needed to get back on the road, even including pictures of how I could get to the car after-hours. If you’re in trouble, give Daisy a call!”

“Mr. Tire on Fordham Blvd. is superb. I recently took my old car in for an inspection. Darnell, the new Manager, and mechanics Larry and Brian were so professonal and honest, going out of their way to do a thorough job and to charge me the minmal possible. For ex., I knew that all 4 tires badly needed replacing, but they were so honest and said only 3 had to be replaced in order to pass. Some parts needed ordering, so I came back a few days later for the necessary repairs. After working on the car for awhile, the mechanic found that two areas in the rear where oil had appeared to be leaking earlier were actually OK; what they had seen turned out to water. They were so honest and said that this discovery would lower my bill by about $600! I had driven over something that put a hole in the oil tray, which the mechanic showed me. They replaced it and did not even charge for the labor. This place has a wonderful Spirit. Very highly recommended!!!!”

Josh discovered my tire was ripped and replaced the damaged tire. Thank you Deputy Farmer and Josh for making my day even better! Customer service was demonstrated and there are people who still care! Job well done!”
“A great experience with quick service and excellent customer service! Until convinced otherwise this Firestone location will be my go to auto service center. I made an appointment for 9:00am. My car was brought in the garage immediately and finished at 9:43am! That never, ever happens at the other locations.”
