“When I first moved to the Chapel Hill Caro area, everything here has been very expensive, including storage. Not to mention how hard it is to get a decent size storage space that’s respectable and clean. Katie and another young man were very sweet and respectable to me, helping me out and letting me know their prices, which were the best in the area, I got a 10 x 10 storage space for $76 a month. It may be on the third floor but the elevators are easy to use. It is climate controlled. I highly recommend using the storage. Also, it’s conveniently located right on 501 next to Smith level Road. Which makes it a very easy way to store your stuff close to where I live.”

“This facility is wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone with storage unit needs. We use our storage unit every day for business and we couldn’t be happier with our time here. the facility manager, Scott, is fantastic and has always helped with any of our needs and is always readily available. This site is very clean and taken care of well. The employees walk the entire facility every day checking locks and cleaning up. We have gotten a call before that our unit was accidentally left unlocked and we were able to immediately get over there to relock it, thanks to this. We feel very secure and well looked after here. We have been at other facilities before with far far less care and so we are very grateful for such a great place.”
“Very nice staff and looks to be a well maintained facility. When i first got my unit i left it empty and unlocked. We were packing and hadnt started moving boxes yet. They called to make sure I still needed the unit.
A couple of helpful things ... The roll up door is very high when all the way open. Bring a string/rope to tie to the handle. And/or a small stepladder is handy for packing boxes high. Last as a precaution I put Roach Motels in the unit. You never know where packing boxes have been stored and none of us need "hitch hikers."”

I have storage units in 3 states. My experience with Public Storage and U-Hall makes me appreciate Ample Storage even more.
For my Public Storage units in TX and FL, rates are high and they raise my rate every 6 months by 25-30% Inexcusable!! Condition and cleanliness of PS facilities are so-so; customer service ranges from awful to okay. I would never rent from them again.
I will choose Ample Storage for future needs even if I have to drive a little farther.”

“The registration process is a bit lengthy, and the waiting time on the phone are quite long, but staff were all very polite and helpful. After the initial set up going in and out is effortless.”
“I rent trailers around twice a year for work. I've tried a number of U-Haul locations in the Raleigh/Durham/Greensboro/Fayetteville area. Some have been ok - some have been absolutely abysmal. This location is by far the best one I've dealt with. They have great inventory. Thus far, they have had the trailer I reserved (unlike some other locations that have it on the website and allow you to reserve it, yet it's not there when you show up).
Staff is polite and efficient. Dropped a trailer off today in fact. Pulled in, there was an employee outside, he pointed where he wanted me to drop it, came over as soon as I stopped and unhooked the trailer, emailed me a copy of the receipt. Literally 3 minutes to drop off. I can't express how much this is appreciated after a long day moving things around.
The pickup took maybe 5-6 minutes. I realize I may have gotten lucky with timing, but I've rented from here 4 times and have not waited more than 10 minutes.
