We've used this company for years. Very convenient (they provide a shuttle service to get us home and pick up when needed), pricing seems very reasonable and the work competently performed. Friendly staff is a side-bonus. We've used them for everything ranging from routine inspections, oil changes, new tires, and major engine repairs, all without experiencing any post-visit problems necessitating correction etc. We will continue to use them and highly recommend them to others.

First time I came in for an oil change was fine, the staff is very personable and the service was quick— a little expensive but totally fine.
The second time, and last ever, I came in for a battery test. The technician called me later and told me my car “urgently” needed over $4,000 worth of work done “as soon as possible, it’s all incredibly urgent,” in addition to a new battery.
I asked for a breakdown of the cost, and was given a somewhat lacking explanation. They said my shocks were completely shot and leaking fluid and needed to be replaced for $2,000 but the other $2,000 was ambiguous “fuel service” “engine service” type stuff they weren’t able to properly explain. They quoted me nearly $600 for spark plug replacement, among other things.
I had a bad feeling and decided to get a second opinion. I took my car to the dealership and asked them to thoroughly check it over for any issues. Tell me why they called me back and NOT ONLY did my shocks and struts pass inspection, but they didn’t find nearly HALF of the other issues CHT said were so “incredibly urgent.” Quoted me $215 to replace all my spark plugs. Left the dealership paying literally half of what this place wanted from me, for no reason.

As in so many times in the past, Chapel Hill Tire gave my old 94 Saturn wagon excellent care!! They went to great lengths to maintain my car, which is difficult due to its age and parts. They understand me and my Saturn so well, and went out of their way to help with all issues. The entire staff are so helpful and friendly and knowledgeable, and I recommend them extremely highly! I also love their shuttle service....it makes things so easy. Thank you for always being there for me and giving top notch quality care to my Saturn!

My one and only experience confirmed what I already believed about this place (corporate, money grabbing grifters). I work in a school and Chapel Hill Tire offered a teacher appreciation program that gave a coupon for a free oil change. Great. I go through the online appointment portal and they tell me they will contact me to confirm my appointment. I never got a confirmation but when I followed up the employee made it seem like it was my issue. I made a new appointment. Still never got a confirmation. I called to confirm and the same employee told me that he didn't have the appointment. "Oh wait, yes I do. I just needed to scroll over more." What? From the very get go, because they knew I was using my coupon for the oil change. They could not have cared less about my business. Now, if you are above age 60 and have a brand new Mercedez that needs some headlight fluid for 1000 dollars, I'm sure they would love to help you out. Save yourself time, money, and frustration and go somewhere that doesn't have the asinine hours of 8-4pm.
