Daniel McClendon Fine Art is a marvelous gallery located in a wonderful historic building. The studio itself is an amazing, inviting, comfortable, and sunny space, excellent and cool to experience. The artwork is consistently described as unique, impressive, very interesting, and fascinating. The artist’s process is unbelievable and creative, starting with a blank wooden canvas and magically uncovering animals in random brush strokes, bringing them out in unique, colorful, and unexpected ways. Visitors enjoy learning about this process and find the pieces playful and personal, noting everyone will find something special. The artist is very talented, sincere, open, pleasant, and a great guy, with communication so pleasant it makes visitors feel like old acquaintances. He is welcoming and excited to share his passion, making conversations enjoyable and candid. Even when the artist is not present, the gallery staff is friendly and informative. The overall experience is highly recommended, a definite location to visit if in the Asheville area. Many visitors spend a significant amount of time without noticing, do not want to leave, and become huge fans, often returning to acquire multiple unique paintings for their homes.
Daniel is so talented, and this beautiful three-floor gallery space is a real testament to that talent! We really enjoyed getting to talk to him about his process - he is a true artist and also an incredible down to earth, friendly and smart person. We hope to be able to commission a painting from him someday!

Visited the gallery recently, Daniel was not there. The individual there was friendly and informative! The art work is unique and the studio space was excellent and cool to experience. Definitely a location to visit if you are in the area!
