I happen to think this is the Best most Reasonably priced Restaurant in Westhampton. Very good food, not overpriced like so many other restaurants in the Hamptons. Everything I’ve had here has been good. Especially the steak and baked potato! Monkey brains are pretty tasty too! Good for takeout as well. I was throwing a dinner party last year for 20, my chef got sick last minute so I ordered everything from Buoy One. No one even knew I didn’t have a chef!

Had a great time eating off season. The decor was so bright and welcoming. The menu selection had lots of choices and we all had the seafood, which was excellent. The tuna was so fresh it tasted like it was just caught. Will definitely go back again.

Service was horrible. Food took too long to arrive and when it did it was cold and bland. Would not reccomend this place to anyone. Stay far away.

I was at the Westhampton location yesterday for lunch,i got up to go to the bathroom and was mortified to see cockroaches all over the place.As I returned to my table now with my guard up I can see them under the table running around.I paid my bill and left. I have already contacted Department of Health, but i wanted to do my part to make the public aware.DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!IF YOU DON"T WANT TO GET SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called in a order to be picked up in one hour. Paid for the order and got a confirmation Got to restaurant, waitresses siting at bar playing with phones. Bartender watching football on tv. No one greeted me. Only four people at table. Man with dirty shirt came out, did not talk to me. I asked for my take out, he got the women in charge, I gave her the order number. She left, came back and said they did not get the order. Said to give her 5 minutes . I said I did not want a rush job. She went in the kitchen. I waited 10 minutes and she came back to tall me it would take 30 to 40 min. I told her to cancel the order. Funny how she went to the computer and got my refund in seconds. I think they did not check the computer when I first ordered. I call the Buoy One in Riverhead, 10 miles away and made the same order. Arrived 20 minutes later, my order was ready and I was treated respectively good food but use Riverhead not Westhampton. They are very rude in Westhampton!

Came here on a Saturday night and the service was horrible. We were placed in the backroom next to a large group which were very loud and obnoxious. The lighting is extremely dim and uninviting.It took an hour for us to get our entree orders taken. Then it took another 30 minutes before we got our food. Our waiter asked how was the service and after we voiced our opinions she looked at us like we were crazy.The food however was very good so kudos to the chefs but everything else was pretty disappointing I wouldn’t go back.

Initially we were impressed with the atmosphere and cleanliness. We ordered drinks, a whisky smash (weak, small and overpriced) and a white sangria which was ok. We ordered steamed clams to start while we were deciding on entrees. While waiting for first course we ordered 2 New England clam chowders and two fried fish dishes. Our chowder came out first but we didn’t say anything. The chowder was 6/10. Did not taste like real quality ingredients were used and presented with a grey color. Next the steamers came out and were very good. Fresh and great flavor. We waited for 40 minutes for our next course and kept glancing over to the server before he came over and stated , “sorry your food will be right out” we waited an additional 15min and still no entrees. Since we were the second party in the restaurant and all subsequent parties were being served their food while we were still waiting we made the decision to get our check and leave without getting our entrees. If someone had just come over and said there had been a mistake or offered us a drink it may have made a difference. I overheard the kitchen staff reprimand the servers that someone had screwed up. Very disappointing, no sincere apology. Skip this until they get their act together.

I wanted to love this place as the location is convenient but it was not great. The old bay wedge didn’t have any old bay(!) and they clearly used bottles dressing, the clam chowder seemed like it was from a can, the shrimp didn’t taste fresh, and the fries in the fried seafood basket were soggy. Service was friendly and it was nice to be able to sit outside but I won’t be adding this place to the rotation.

Calamari was like rubber. Ordered horseradish crusted cod. No seasoning , no flavor, no horseradish. Very bland. Would not go back.

Recently had takeout and the portions were small for the high price we paid. Cod filet was saturated with oil and there were 2 tiny pieces. Tried to call to speak with someone and no one picked up the phone.

I had guests from out of town and 7 of us ordered 7 different dishes. All the food was subpar and not inexpensive. But worst was the service. The waiter delivered food while we had no silverware, and then threw down a bunch of forks and knives in the middle of the table. A very unpleasant experience and would not return.

Beware of scams related with wines charged incorrectly.Unfortunately the experience was highly disappointing. We ordered two dishes, the shrimp, scallop and squid pasta was the most disappointing. It costed $28+tax, came in a bowl and it looked more like a soup, with very little flavor. The pasta seemed to come from a box and the seafood seemed frozen. We mentioned the sub-par quality, especially compared to the cost, and no action was taken on their part. When we received the check we found that we had been charged $55 (it was clearly written in the check that’s Locations costed 55) for the Locations Sauvignon Blanc bottle of wine that appeared as $42 in the menu. They corrected the mistake, but in fact, the check had to be overwritten with a “custom item” at the right cost. It seems that the incorrect price of the wine at the register was by design…Please, beware of this place, it’s trying to take advantage of customers lack of attention to the check.

Fantastic menu, super fresh seafood and a great, upbeat atmosphere makes Buoy One a perfect place to dine out. The manager Andrew is particularly awesome and the staff all around are top notch!
