No nonsense kind of place, incredibly helpful, communicative, and friendly staff and ownership. I’ve brought my cars here for all sorts of unique work between boost leaks, NY car inspections, part installation, and troubleshooting. It’s amazing how much they get done day to day with a small team. Passionate about what they do and always accomplish a job done right. The only place I will take my cars to in Watertown.

Seeing as European Motors owns this business seems fitting to post here too.If you want to lose your car door an entire day for an oil change. I would bring your auto here! The customer service was so nice and accommodating. When asked, if I could get a block time to drop in get my oil changed and wait for it to be done it was explained to me that it would be impossible. Being me, I persisted. It's hard enough being a single parent to lose a car for a day because of an oil change.Ultimately, I was asked to take my business elsewhere. So that's what I said, and would recommend you do the same.Case is point by the owners response.?

Dropped of an 05 Audi with parking brake ssues and NO OTHER CODES OR SHIFTING ISSUES. I'll keep it factual and short as the owner doesn't believe in people being able to have their own views. They weren't honest on timeliness, we took the vehicle in for Parking brake issues and Brake Module reset. They found other issues with the vehicles br3ak system and said a caliper was put on backwards by a different mechanic. so we authorized the repairs with a 3 week expectation. I expected timeliness to be upheld so I continued to call and ask why its taking longer with a different excuse everytime. The Owners wife told me "well you are being annoying so maybe we will just put other vehicles in front of yours" well low and behold I personally watched 6 other vehicles go in in front of My son's car. They told us they had multiple vehicles with engines apart in the Bays. Fine. But why the other 6 cars...... we finally got the car Back that had no other codes, started and shifted when we dropped this off. It now has 11 codes all dealing camshaft position sensor, Misfires as well as the transmission not shifting now, none of those areas have to do with the brakes and had no issues starting and running properly when it was dropped off the EPB was the only issue. I know people have had good experiences with this shop. But for me and quite a few others the time, and honesty obviously is an issue in this business. I would not recommend this shop. Save the money, time and Hassel and have your foreign car towed to Syracuse if needed. 3 months. 1500 plus for them to give it back with a brake issue and more issues......

please do not take your car here unless you want to have your car in the shop for 6 months and the customer service is horrendous, owner is argumentative, parts are always “delayed”, and for some reason there’s never technicians to work on your car either. do yourself the favor of taking it to volkswagen for more immediate return of your vehicle. oh, also damage was done to my vehicle and they said they didn’t do it and made me pay for it lol.anyways im sure he will have something sly to say back defending his business and poor management but what’s up my man ✌?hmu tho maybe we can cry about it together.

Called them asking for a quote for some work, not knowing that they only do European cars, but the woman I spoke with on the phone was nonetheless very helpful, able to diagnose the issue with my car from a description of the symptoms, as well as refer me to another shop. Very helpful.

Do not waste your time. Brought my car in to have them look at a part they had previously replaced that another shop stated was faulty. At, first they didn't even want to look at it, but eventually scheduled an appointment 3 weeks out. Dropped it off, checked back in 2 days later, still hadn't looked at it. 6 days after the drop off I stopped in, and they still hadn't looked at it. I asked for my keys back and will never, ever go back, nor will I recommend anyone take their car here.

Great people & knowledgeable. Prices are what they are, they do try to give options when possible. I appreciate having a local European mechanic.Good luck with the new building.MP

I took my 2011 BMW X5 to motorhead NEW YORK because I had a persistent check engine light with a code that would not disappear despite the amount of parts ordered and work done on it. After discussing my issue with the owner I felt pretty confident he could resolve the issue. Ultimately, he arrived at the same conclusion we did before taking it in so we decided to pick it up and change the part suggested ourselves (a part we had already changed prior but was not OEM). The owner did not charge me and apologized for not being able to help. He and his wife were very nice and I appreciated the diagnostics free of charge. If you’re looking for a reliable place that will work on your ride, especially if it has been deleted, I highly recommended motorhead.

I’ve had two great experiences with Motörhead New York: purchasing a used vehicle and also maintenance of that vehicle as well as another. I purchased a mid-mileage vehicle from Motorhead and will most likely do so again due to their quality of used vehicles and exceptional customer service. Prior to purchasing the vehicle Motorhead fixed all minor and major deficiencies immediately and allowed me to test drive without question. The expertise in quickly resolving small exterior and interior issues surprised me. Motörhead even kept in touch with me for the following months to ensure the vehicle was operating and maintained it’s servicing for inspection and registration. All of the work was completed by them in a timely manner and made us extremely easy as a purchaser. I strongly recommend anyone to look at their inventory, and they’ll help find what you want elsewhere if needed. As far as maintenance Motörhead has absolutely impressed me with the daily and weekly updates on my vehicle, and was very clear about the pricing and plethora of options available. Having car sales and maintenance wrapped up in one company has saved me time, money, and given me piece of mind that the car will continue to run exceptionally. Thank you Motörhead for giving me an awesome experience with a used car and continuing to service at a professional state. The time to do any job has been worth the wait and price for amazing work.

There I was looking for a vehicle for my daughter that would be affordable and dependable when I came across motorhead's post for a used BMW. I went in not knowing what to expect, and what I found was honesty and full transparency. They let me check out the vehicle, told me what it needed, and guaranteed it'd be done fast and professionally. They have delivered on all their promises and the vehicle has runs better than I could have hoped for. They took care of the state inspection, registration, and checked back to make sure everything was going great.I highly recommend stopping by and seeing what they can do to get you on the road. I'll be buying my next car here for sure.

Wonderful experience, they were very communicative with me during the full week my VW was in their shop, with near daily phone calls even if there was no new information to give me. They gave me several repair options and actually went out of their way to recommend an option that would save me several hundred dollars--a lot of shops would have jumped at the chance to rip me off. I felt like I and my car were in very capable hands every step of the way. I'll absolutely be back.

Brett (the owner) has worked on my 1998 528i for the past 4 years. The quality and thoroughness of his work is impeccable and he should be considered the premier foreign car repair shop in Northern New York. I'm looking forward to many more years of driving my car thanks to his expertise. Thanks again Brett.

Terrible. Whoever the woman is at the front answering calls is, she should be fired or reprimanded. I’m military, getting ready to move and in a tight spot trying to sell my wife’s car. I asked if they bought cars, she said “depends on what it is”, I told her it was a 2008 Kia Spectra, she then proceeded to laugh at me and say no. I called back and asked her if she laughed at all of the people who call in with offers, she said “it’s not like that” trying to save face. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there were none there (which I find hard to believe).I understand they don’t have to buy my car, but a polite “sorry we’re not interested” would’ve been nice instead of being laughed at and embarrassed while I’m already in a tight spot. If you’re one of my Army brothers or sisters at Fort Drum reading this, I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Fact: less than a year of having my vehicle, I’ve paid $7,800 on top of the roughly $6,800 I’ve paid for the vehicle. (To make the vehicle drivable and road ready) which $6,100 of that repair cost came from a specialized mechanic in Alaska. (The whole rusted/inoperable e-break assembly which I will pay for in due time will cost $3,400 by its self)Opinion: it is possible to lower the cost of the repairs and parts if I were still in Watertown and they personally worked on my vehicle.Fact: the parts and repair cost of my vehicle are coming from a tad bit more expensive warehouse here in Alaska and are not in anyway the cheapest, another individual could find cheaper parts for a lower cost (this is just my personal situation).Fact:they are extremely nice owners.Fact: Driving the vehicle from Watertown to Alaska, I immediately had suspension height issues (which resulted in the vehicle raising and lowering the whole ride there).Fact: the cold did take a toll on the broken air suspension system and is obviously not blamed on the dealer.Fact: absolutely, they provided me with a working vehicle for no cost as they worked on my vehicle.Fact: every time I brought the vehicle in, it came back out with the same problem.Fact: the new designated mechanic specifically for my vehicle is shocked about the price I paid for the vehicle along with how much work it needs on it.Fact: I did not have to pay for certain services due to the fact they sold me the car with those deficiencies, but in that, those deficiencies were never fixed.Fact: hurts to have to right this review because I like them. But I can’t lie in the face of the Most High YHWH. These are facts, so just as long as I can speak the truth it doesn’t bother me to give you 5 stars.Shalom aleichem

I've been a customer of Motorhead for the past year. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and have provided outstanding service every time I've brought my Volvo in for repairs; including replacing a bad transmission. They've always been honest and fair in all my dealings with them and I would highly recommend you consider them if you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic.
