“Decided to try out the two week trial. I’m currently on week one and I’ve been taking my classes with Saro so far and it’s been amazing. I feel like I’m working out my whole body but also getting help when I need it. Very attentive and helpful, you aren’t just left to do whatever, but there’s a structure and the coach is around constantly helping. The front desk was wonderful, sweet and explained everything. Great place to exercise and great people that work there!”

“When I left my favorite yoga and pilates place where the coaches and members became my family, I did not think I could find another community like it. Well F45 Melville is a completely different workout focusing on strength training and hybrid functional workouts but with some of the same amazing fitness members that I also now call my family. I have met so many wonderful people, the coaches are all amazing and so motivational and I have never felt better physically and mentally. I am in the best shape of my life at 45 and I have F45 and its community to thank for that! The workouts are never easy and always challenging but in 45 minutes you feel so accomplished. “The thing I like most about the gym is the coaches and their positive enthusiasm. I feel like I have a personal trainer at each of my classes. Guiding us on form and safety and pushing us to our individual limits. The gym is clean with excellent equipment. The exercises combine all aspects of the body and you feel good after you’ve finished class, albeit a sweaty mess!! The atmosphere is completely positive and the teachers cater all exercises to the needs of their students. I can not recommend this gym enough! “My husband and I joined Island Park fitness in 2021. Best decision ever!! We love the coaches, programming and all the members. There’s plenty of class times to choose from so no excuse not to get there. What I really like is the fact that we do the warm up together. Something my previous gym didn’t do. You were on your own to do the warm up.The coaches take their time to go over the WOD, answer any questions and modify whatever you need to your ability. “So far I’ve taken 3 classes and each class has taken me out of my comfort zone and made me sweat and feel super energized. The spin class is fun and the instructor Barbara is very helpful in getting you set up and the music was on point ( now I just need spin shoes). “Superior weightlifting gym for the everyday lifter. Worst thing about it is the personal trainers abusing the crossfit room. They get to claim half the gym even if they are training one person & that's absolutely ridiculous. A class is understandable but one person? No way. I will not factor that in towards the score since I do not use that section other than for a treadmill. I wouldn't complain if half the treadmills outside of that section weren't broken. Removing one star from perfect score until treadmills are repaired or replaced. No bs, it's quiet has 90% of everything you could ever need. No old people or noobs wasting time wandering aimlessly taking up machines. No socialites. No weirdos ogling women. People have a plan, work hard, and get out. I went to blink before this and the difference is night and day. I could actually get a good workout here and it feels good knowing other patrons are after the same thing. Sometimes music can be loud but admittedly I like what's usually playing. Sometimes counter workers try to change prices for protein shakes despite clear pricing being displayed, but stick to your guns and they'll back off. Despite this, still my overall favorite gym.”

“Although I am no longer part of the OTF fam, I could not end the year without leaving this review. I had an excellent experience at OTF Farmingdale. As someone who suffers from extreme social anxiety, starting OTF was a bit out of my comfort zone, BUT I felt 100% comfortable and welcomed each time I stepped foot into the studio. All the ladies at the front desk are extremely friendly. I attended classes lead by Head Coach Amanda, Coach Melissa, Coach Craig, Coach Jonny, and Coach Camryn. I have nothing but positive things to say about each of them. They are ALL very supportive, motivating, and push you to be the best version of yourself in and out of the gym. With the help of each coach I become stronger and more confident. Aside from the fantastic coaches, the workouts are great, and so is the music!”

“Sounds cheesy but OTF really has changed my life. I’ve been a member for about a year now. I definitely have some favorite coaches but truly every class I attend, the coaches look out for everyone, modify exercises and always ask if I’m ok with x modification because I’m expecting. The coaches go through form and which muscles to target, they’re all extremely motivating and respectful.This review is for CP, GCP, and NHP, they all run so efficiently and are always so clean. The staff at all the locations are also so professional and attentive, which makes you feel so comfortable.”

“I joined CrossFit 516 exactly one year ago, and I've gained so much more than I expected. The coaches, the people, and the atmosphere make it so much more than just a gym you go to before or after work. It's a place you look forward to returning to every time you leave.

After feeling like I had reached the limit of what I could achieve on my own at a chain gym, I joined Crossfit516 after doing research into CF. After training at CrossFit 516 for the past 12 months, I'm confident it was the right decision.

Many members have been here for over a decade, and it's not uncommon to meet people who have left other CrossFit locations to train here.

One of the best parts for newcomers is the intro program, which is perfect for easing into the workouts. The coaches are experts and genuinely care about your progress. The workouts are intense but scalable, making them accessible to all fitness levels.

I joined at 39, and there are members younger and older, so neither your age nor current fitness level should hold you back from checking out CrossFit516.

One-on-one coaching is available, and training with Coach Ellen has been one of the best decisions I've made (and I've made a lot of great decisions).

Initially, I planned to do a few sessions to learn more about Olympic lifting, avoid bad habits, and perform better in class, but I'm going into week 24 and it's far exceeded the goals and expectations I initially set. It's rare to get more out of something than you hope for, but that has defined my experience here. There's always something new to learn in CrossFit, and it's also a lot of fun.
