But you can still find a few good things in the stores from time to time. Not many deals but if it doesn't have to be new, you can save a few bucks.”

About Super Savers/Value Village: This is a for-profit enterprise. Your purchases don't help participating charities, your donations do ... but for those charities, it's free without having to have their own donation and sales infrastructure, so they are happy with the arrangement.
Unlike other true nonprofit thrift stores, they are not a work program for disabled people.
On the other hand, they have a great selection, a neat store and competent staff.”
