“I was in a really bad Tbone accident in January, I found Josh on Google!! So many shops wouldn’t take my car, but Josh took my car the day my insurance company dropped my car off!! I was so thankful for this!Josh fixed the side damage from the accident within exactly 1 month and was very kind and updated me weekly on the progress. Josh even fixed parts like a missing window button inside the car for me!There was front damage done to the car while in the hands of my insurance company. The side damage was fixed first and then I brought back the car this past Friday to fix the front damage! Josh fixed the grill and bumper by Monday evening! He even helped me out with an oil change too.I would HIGHLY recommend JSmitty shop to anyone!! It was worth the tow to Schenectady from Albany! Josh is so genuine with his work! As a women it’s very difficult to find trustworthy & genuine mechanics & body shops! “My pilot had an accident where the whole front bumper came off and I was initially unsure where I would bring my car. I planned to go to my dealerships body shop but I stopped at 518 first for a free estimate! The owner explained everything in as much detail as he could without taking my car apart. Him and his office staff walked me through the insurance process and really fought with the insurance to get certified Honda parts in my car! Very impressed from the beginning to the end and would recommend to everyone!”

“Had a rear door, rear panel, and side view mirror replaced for less than half of what Mohawk Collision quoted me. Came out perfect and got it back when they said I would. Also cleaned it up nicely inside and out. Can't even tell the lady ran a stop sign and broadsided me.”

“THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE BODY WORK DONE.... I was rear ended and my pumper was damaged. I went to Carman Body Works because my sister has had work done there previously and raved about how great they were. They were great, their customer service is fantastic. I went to get my pumper fixed at a season where they had a crazy work case load. They work with both insurance companies to make sure everything is organized and paid for. Which since I was rear ended and it wasn't my fault the other insurance company paid for the repairs. They also found additional damage that was caused to the rear when taking the pumper off to put on the new one. They called and informed the insurance company that was paying for the repairs on my behalf and they also were able to get that covered for me. Over all great experience. Also on a side note my door handle just broke on my driver side door. Needless to say its a no brainer where I am going to go. I just called them and will be having them give me an estimate later before they close today.”

“This is an honest man who has been in business for a number of years...very friendly...totally competent and knows his stuff...I am an older woman and my brother told me about him cuz he delivers for a local tool business. I just picked up my 2006 Honda which he repainted and got rid of the rust. It is beautiful he did an awesome job! Now he will be working on my other car putting new brakes/rotars. Anything else it needs as I will be selling it and asking a fair price. I trust this man with anything he says he can repair and there's not too many shops left like this one. The price is also very reasonable!”

She worked with me to bypass the Toyota dealer for the purchase of the tire and rim (saving me about $650) and bringing it to the dealer for subsequent mounting and alignment.”

“Customer since 2012 . Although there were some times a return visit was required, they handled every issue professionally and to my 100% satisfaction. Kelly in service department is an exceptional service advisor !Update: 9/2023Troy (Service Manager) helped me through a tough period recently. I had an unfortunate incident that caused me a great loss,. Two words you never want to hear, 'seized engine'. He was able to locate a new engine even when the factory was saying 8 months. Within a month he had the new engine installed and it was within the quoted amount. Frank was the technician who performed the replacement which had a few hiccups but all in all a clean professional job. Put your trust in these guys to do it right and within the budget. To provide even better service they supplied me with a new loaner truck for the entire time my truck was getting repaired at no extra cost. Only missed a few days of work, very fortunate.”
