“So, I went to see relatives in Scranton, PA with my grandmother - we’re from northeastern Connecticut. I was driving a rental car (an Audi Q3 - I had free credits because of a previous late cancellation and I wanted to use them up, so I figured I might as well use a rental for the trip and gave my car a break. Well, it seemed like a good idea until we got a flat tire when coming home on I-84 eastbound near Port Jervis, NY. We called AAA and they put on the spare tire, which of course was really a “donut” tire - can’t go over 55 MPH and can’t drive over 70 miles, and we had over 160 miles left on our trip home. So, we had to get the spare “donut” tire replaced with a “real” tire lol. The AAA mechanic recommended Mavis Discount Tire in Middletown, NY, so that’s where we went. Unfortunately, since the Audi Q3 is an AWD vehicle, it was quite important that we replace the tire with the same exact brand/model of tire, and they did not have that specific tire in stock on that day, so we had to wait one day. We stayed at a hotel and went back to Mavis the next day, and they put the new tire on the car and we were all set to go back home! So, we made it home, but then we discovered that, although we had asked the guys at Mavis to leave the flat tire in the car so we could take photos of it to show to the rental car company, it wasn’t there, but they were very busy that day so it was completely understandable. We called them back and Leon was nice enough to check and see if they still had the flat tire there - which hopefully wasn’t too much work, searching through their pile of old tires! Sure enough, Leon found the flat tire and texted me perfect photos of it. The tires on the car were in very bad shape according to Mavis, completely unacceptable for a rental car, so we wanted to have a photo of the flat tire to use as evidence! Thanks so much, we really appreciate the help, couldn’t have done a better job!!!”

“I went in with a tire with a slow leak. I was greeted at the desk, explained the problem, pulled my car in and was out of there all of 10 minutes later. They said there was a nail in my tire, they patched it up and didn't charge me a cent. Such friendly, quick and efficient service is becoming a rarity these days so I give these guys 5 stars and will give them my business from now on. Highly recommended.”

“We decided to use Sam's club to order our Christmas cards this year and paid for expedited 2 day shipping. After 4 days we had yet to receive our order and contacted Sam's club for resolution. We were advised the order was shipped that day and we would receive in a few days. For compensation they emailed us a $10 gift card to use at Walmart. Shipping was $12 and we get compensated with a $10 gift card to buy more things from them? What a horrible resolution to our complaint. However, I wish that was the last of our issues with this order. We received the order today and they shorted us 35 envelopes and spelled our family name wrong on all the cards! I sent them a message advising that we would not be utilizing their services in the future..which is the only thing I can do at this point. So..my original review was one star. However I am changing my review because of the following.I received a professional response via Yelp from a Sam's Club rep apologizing for the issue. I replied to the email trail I had going with their service department also explaining the problems with my delivered order. The rep replied advising I would receive a 100% refund for my order. I am very surprised on how fast their service department worked and was very happy with their proposed resolution. I am used to receiving horrible service from large companies and Sam's Club/Walmart is one of the biggest in the country. I am very impressed and would love if other companies would take as much pride in their service as Sam's club does.”
