That is not the case with Gotham.The team did a great, and thorough, job of not only fixing the damage done by an NYC Sanitation truck but also the subtle work of color matching and blending the panels. When I picked up the car it felt brand new, both inside and out.I could not recommend them enough.”

“After many bad experiences at my GMC service center in Sunnyside I asked neighbors for recommendations more local to where I live and many mentioned Broadway Auto Center and Harris. Today I visited for an oil change, inspection, an issue with my windshield sprayer and concern about a potential issue with my car. They took my car in and called me once they had had chance to thoroughly look at the car. Harris was excellent explaining everything to me and noted he couldn’t identify any issues. After speaking to me he did a second thorough check (including driving the vehicle) and again didn’t note anything. Rather than charge me for something that wasn’t an issue (my old GMC garage did this) he noted all the checks he’d done - and didn’t charge me for all the time he had spent. For the first time since buying my car many years ago I felt heard and treated with respect and honesty. I will be returning whenever there’s anything needed for my car from now on. Highly recommend!”
“I went into this shop for the first time and Mike and his team took care of me as if I was their own daughter. I really appreciate when people show you your faulty part and show you the new part they got, the brand and the invoice for the parts, and Mike did that! Very honest work. I called Mike asking him about my water tank and thermostat and he was able to give me straight forward answer over the phone which I appreciated. Mike quoted me a great and very fair price and even trusted me to leave and come back. Good man good people that put their customer’s satisfaction first.”
“Yes, just want to chime in that I've been going to these guys for over 8 years and there integrity always shines through by their fair pricing, efficiency and curtesy. Have never tried to upsell me on repairs, never tried to push unnecessary junk. Been to other places for convenience but inevitably return to get the great service that I've come to expect.”

“After having tons of issues with Tesla service, I took my 2013 Model S to Michael at Precision Auto Works in Long Island City.
They took care of my alignment and rusted tie rod. They spent plenty of time on my car and the owner is a great guy. He understands customer service and knows how to take care of customers correctly and honestly. I highly recommend them for your out of warranty Tesla needs. Thank you Mike!”
“Michael and the crew at Formula Motorsports are incredible. When you talk to them you know you’re going to get a straightforward, honest answer from a shop that knows Porsches better than anyone I’ve met. It’s just a bonus that the shop is basically a museum!1. My ‘86 911 cab had sustained damage. I brought it to Michael to assess the damage and determine the correct course of action. Over several days Michael and I talked frequently and determined what steps needed to be taken. Michael advised me on what he thought was best but there was never any pressure, and the decision was ultimately left up to me.2. I take my 2018 Macan S here for service. They turn the work around more quickly and at a lower cost than the dealership offers.”
“I live in the area and own a 2008 BMW 5 Series. As one could imagine, that requires an auto shop on speed dial. While the car is mechanically sound, there are constantly small things that need to be addressed (headlight out, drain clogged, wire needs replacing, brake discs, alignment, inspection, etc.).Anthony and his team have been there to handle all the small things as well as a few more major repairs like a valve cover replacement, and everything else that comes with an aging BMW. It's been almost half a decade that ZA & D. have been working with me to maintain this vehicle and I've always found them honest, competent, and transparent.I've lived in NYC over 16 years (coincidentally, about the same age as the car) and I've only felt compelled to write a review for one or two other businesses that have stood out to me as exceptional. These guys are it.”

“A great place to go but especially if you are a woman. I had previously gone to the dealership to get my oil changed and they told me I needed two new brakes and two new tires. I've had a lot of experiences in the past of mechanics assuming I didn't know anything about cars because I'm a woman (which in my case is true, I don't know anything about cars) and then selling me on services I didn't need. I knew the dealership was being dishonest about the tires because I only had about 28,000 miles (that were dealership tires) and decided to get a second opinion. Erol was very responsive, kind, and trustworthy. He took a look and sent me on my way as he didn't see anything wrong with the car. Additionally, he explained what types of things to look out for in my braking if they do become weathered down, and also let me know how many miles he thinks that would take. In a world full of people trying to upsell and oversell you, Erol was honest and direct. I really appreciated this a lot and even though P&A is very far away from where I live, they have earned a customer for life.”

“Long time Kassel Performance(PA) customer. They service all my S54 cars and did race prep on my e46 m3. Unfortunately they are almost 4hrs away and I no longer have the time to haul/drive my car to them from NY unless it’s full blown drivetrain work. This is where BKM came into the picture.
I am no tire kicker… I am a methodical keeper of my stable. I keep documentation of all work , only OEM or OEM supplier parts. I re-check torque specs on my own. Yes I’m that guy because these motors are sensitive to things like bolt tq. when at 9k rpm.
I added another S54 M car to the collection few years back and haven’t had time to work on it my self as is a common story with any car collection. I need a local shop for routine and routine+ maintenance of my cars. I saw this shop was relatively well kept and had some nice classics on the lifts. I left my car for some basic service. I am looking forward to clean work and all pieces put back in place. I believe in respect for my machine as my car is the most important car in that shop to ME.
So far, the experience was good. The young man at the front desk “Rihad?” is polite and takes time to talk with you regarding the work and made me feel comfortable leaving my car with them. The older gentleman David… he’s an old-timer. I’ve grown up in shops with guys like him my whole life so when he tries to mechanic-explain everything to me, I just let him…
I’m hoping for a long partnership with this shop based on the work being done at the moment…. I’ll update this review once I have my car back.”

“I had three doors of my son's car to be fixed (courtesy of my former daughter-in-law). I took the car to AKM on a Monday with the service promised to be ready on the following Thursday. I was welcomed by my Ecuadorean friend Jorge. Believe it or not, the car was ready as promised (and clean!). The service on the worst door (that was really smashed) was very good and it was excellent on the other two, not perfect though. I think I would need to have purchased new doors to reach perfection. I do recommend AKM for the quality of the service, their friendliness, their punctuality and their reasonable price.”

“I can't recommend Marbren Tire (now renamed Tire Town Express) highly enough. I got new tires there in 2019 and their prices were reasonable, they were friendly, fast and efficient. After hitting a bad pothole on the LIE in Aug. 2022, they had a replacement tire in stock, suggested I only needed 1 new tire when I thought I would need at least 2 and I was in and out in about an hour. Vinny, the Manager is friendly and awesome as is Roberto in the shop. They don't give you a hard-oversell and suggest unneeded parts and repairs like some of their nearby 21st Street competitors. They are very conveniently located in LIC near the LIE, and near the 59th Street bridge and Queens Midtown Tunnel.”
“Had to replace all 4 tires. Was not the cheapest quote I had but had a good feeling to go with Cosmos and get a top tier tire set. Felt like I was in good hands of experts from the start, no games, no bs.Upon the tire swap out there was damage to my vehicle that the tech showed and explained to me. It was an added unexpected charge but was needed and now my car feels great on the road again. Thanks Mike and the team, would highly recommend and return if ever need be.”
