“I cannot believe in all the years I've lived up the street I haven't stopped here but I sure have been missing out! After getting my nails done next door, I decided to stop in on recommendation of my roommate. I didn't plan to buy anything since I'm going away for a couple of days but I could not resist. Rob was very friendly and helpful. It's not a big place, but there's options galore and he showed me around and told me about a lot of the foods and who prepared them and what's in them. I was also surprised to see Gondola ravioli there! As a teen, I worked at Latinas and after they closed, I would buy them at Tops. But I haven't seen them there in AGES and haven't found a replacement. I was so happy and had to buy some. Then I saw the delicious banana peppers (amongst other things) and bought both varieties of those and a few BBQ meatballs (all of these made in-house). I got home and threw the banana peppers in the oven immediately and warmed up the meatballs as a little appetizer while I waited (hey, I hadn't eaten all day and it was dinner time!). The meatballs were great ... they were mini and size but packed with flavor. Of the 2 banana pepper varieties I bought, me and my son both agreed the one with Italian sausage in it was our favorite! We absolutely cannot wait to have them again ... so much so that I had to call and make sure they are a regular option so I can grab them soon! The store itself is incredibly clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. The cuts of meat are beautiful. There's plenty of raw meat options, cooked items, fresh and frozen, individual or bulk, some salads, deli meats and cheese, a few other things. Oh, there's tons of unique hamburgers too in which they mix their ground beef with various ingredients for different flavors. Prices are on par with anywhere else ... no worries about jacked up prices here at all! Very fair. Great customer service, appearance, and variety. No complaints at all. I look forward to shopping here again!”

“Federal meats is on the pricey end, but this location always has the items I am looking for. First time I was here, I needed duck breast and they were the only place to actually carry it. (I wasn't about to butcher a whole duck up lol) The duck breast was excellent. This time I went in to get some lamb chops ($20 a lb) I wish the chops were bigger, but they were portioned out and ready to go for marinating and grilling. I couldn't help myself and got a cup of their Mac and cheese in their case. (was cheesy and creamy, just how I like it!) Grilled up the chops last night , good flavor but kind of fatty. The customer service is nice and prompt and they have a great selection of anything you may want (meat wise) plus the store is very clean which is a huge plus for me. I'll be back to get some more stuff to put on my grill once the temps rise.”

“I have ventured into this market for decades and never even considered writing a review. But recently i have gone in and made purchases, as sometimes it is a crap shoot to get good quality meat. While I like the presentation and the availability of the staff. I can not ignore the inconsistent customer service. They seem to always be in a rush, and the specials and incentives change by the moment or the person helping you. Apparently there has been this longstanding offer for a free "item" if you spend a certain amount. Nothing fancy it may just be small frozen pies or whatever. But you have to ask ... it is never offered. And then the amount you need to spend seems to change from person to person. Anywho everything is clean and organized great. The quality of the meats are fresh, and they guarantee the food you purchase..prices are a bit higher than other markets I have been to ....but I have never had a problem with ANYTHING I Purchased. I love that they wrap your food according to your specifications and label each of them. They bag them up neatly and pass them to you. This market has been around for quite some time and they are doing the very best they can to navigate through COVID Customer service could use a little work but overall a great place to shop”

“Every now and then one discovers a place that they wish they had known about years earlier. Camellia Meats is such a place. They not only have a very broad selection of meat and food products of every description, if they don't have exactly what you want, they will find it and order it and bring it in at a reasonable price. They make their own sausage, smoke their own meat, and significantly, they butcher every kind of steak to order. I personally asked for the impossible not too long ago and got veal steaks a full 3 inches thick for Bistecca a la Fiorentina. Although I didn't ask for it, they came individually wrapped and vacuum packed! Hard to get items such as turkey tails and exotic cuts of meat are no problem for this high volume fast paced market which has been around for the better part of a century. They have wholesale and retail, single items and bulk orders. If you are a professional or amateur chef, you need to know about this place. I no longer pay expensive shipping costs to boutique butchers in Italy and Europe; I go to Camellia meats. And I have never been disappointed.”
