“Lawrence was very kind and did a phenomenal job re-wiring my Art Deco chandelier. It was done very professionally and quickly too. I highly recommend him for antique lighting re-wiring / repair! This guy knows his stuff. Thanks again”

“They have stuff you forgot existed! You'll scream like a kid in a candy store when you stumble across your favorite forgotten wrestler action figure or the troll with the belly jewel you lost that on time. Carve out 30-60 minutes (at least) for a nostalgic treasure hunt in this little shop packed with memories.”

“I had followed Salt Lizard on Instagram for quite sometime and finally had the opportunity to visit the store. The owners are incredibly friendly, the store is spacious with abundant natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unlike typical antique stores, Salt Lizard's curated selection eliminates the digging through dusty junk without having a "Do not touch!" vibe. The prices are within reach, offering a range of fine antiques from furniture to tableware and rugs. A gem for antique enthusiasts!”

“Finally getting around to this review after 2 years. I wanted something very special that no one else has and boy did Erstwhile deliver!!! Being from Texas spending that kind of money placing a online order made me a bit nervous. These people provided top notch white glove service and way over delivered on every level. I HIGHLY recommend. Now I want a special necklace to go with my rings!”

“It was truly a wonderful experience at the Antique Parlor with Natasha and Shawn. I bought the most beautiful French antique ring. Aside from that, the authenticity of both the products and the owners are almost as rare as a diamond in the rough. An absolute 10/10 experience. (I'd even go as far to say an 11/10).”

“The Missing Link is a gem in NYC. I went in to find cufflinks and a stud set as accessories on a tuxedo for my wedding; the collection was incredible and I found the perfect, unique pieces. I had been to several department stores where the selection was lacking, but not here at The Missing Link. The experience was enhanced by Michael who was engaging, patient, and courteous. Highly recommend.”

“There is something adorable about a shop that specializes in incongruous antiques such as vintage smoking items, lighters, and ashtrays as well as vintage games and candy.Named after the owner's dog this little shop is mighty. You may not realize what you need from this shop but if not a Dunhill lighter perhaps the Mad Magazine board game? Perhaps just a snack of some vintage candy and a Bazooka gum-flavored soda. You won’t know until less you go. So just walk in, this shop doesn’t disappoint”

“I own a 1950 Chambers Gas Stove that needed cleaning and repair. Belgrove appliance (The Stove Lady) did excellent work. I’m so happy that I had them do this. It’s a great stove, and now I’ll have many more years with it. Thanks so much.”

“Incredibly special place. The kindest family ever has been running this shop for many generations. One of the family members talked to me about the history of the shop and his family and it was such an honor to hear their story.”

“Love love love this store, everything is beautiful and I want to take a million things home every time I go. I try to visit whenever I go to NY. I have bought gorgeous sterling Tiffany frames, and a beautiful glass vase with silver overlay which makes me smile whenever I look at it. The salespeople are lovely as well. The prices are not inexpensive, but the merchandise is beautiful, and they will work with you a little bit, especially if you are purchasing more than one item. I absolutely recommend stopping here when you are in the area!”

“Was looking to sell a couple of pieces. Went to their website and sent an email for a quote. No response. I called the office. They gave me a number to text photos and I did so. No response. I sent a follow up text the next day. No response. I waited two additional days and still no response.I can understand if you’re not interested in buying, but at least have the courtesy of giving me a reply. To ignore me like this is completely unprofessional. I don’t see how they can offer same day evaluations when I can’t even get a callback.Edit: Adam called me after the review and we were able to work something out. Thanks for getting back to me.”

“WowBeen ages since I was last here and the place is as I remembered- super friendly and helpful staff. The “technician” restrung my beads (that kept breaking) on the spot for less than $10! And what an improvement given the various choices she offered . And with a guarantee to come back if it fails/falls off.Def will be back with other beads in my vast collection. Go here first and only!!”

“This is a wonderful stationery shop with friendly staff, and an interesting history. I love the atmosphere of this place, and you can sometimes see them making stationary on antique letterpresses when you enter the shop. A must-see on any visit to the South Street Seaport historic district. They also do custom stationery and business cards.”

“After finding this store online several years ago, and talking cross-country to Jimmy several times - it was such a joy to come and spend an hour or more looking at and trying multiple pens my husband and I were considering. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - it felt like an hour spent with friends! We bought several items for ourselves and at least one gift!”

“Coolest guy I ever met! Seriously Vieira gave my 10 yo son free coins to encourage him, and willing to share his knowledge with a little boy. How cool is that! Now my son is more serious in the hobby because of him, and I'd love to go back there and recommend this place to anyone into coin collection!”

“What a find! How I never noticed this gem on 10th street before is a nagging question for me, but all wrongs have been righted and I know I’ll be shopping here for years to come. So many fabulous finds! I found a perfect string of peaks with warm luster and a vintage black slip/nightgown and I adore both. I want to go back when I have more time to dig through the vintage handbags, knits and scarves. The space is small, but is packed to the brim with fabulous finds. The Madame has a discerning eye and there’s no junk amongst the treasures.More importantly, drop in for community! The customers attracted to this special spot were warm and friendly. Great conversations and connection happened. This isn’t just vintage shopping; it’s an experience. Can’t wait to go back”
