“Store was very clean and organized. Employees were most helpful. The owner introduced himself and personally helped me. Excellent butcher but Most importantly, the prices were good.”
“Great products, the best part i loved was the candies and other non savory treats. The taste and quality of those were very great. The prices were also cheaper compared to the quality. 10/10”
“The best food in the world. It's been 2 years since I last ate here... it's 2 am here in tampa and I'm trying to come up with a way to get a dish brought to me here... but how? ..... I love this food so much”
“I had a great experience shopping here. The owner Ernest Flowers greeted me warmly as I entered and was very helpful during my shopping answering a questions I had. Also he said if i didn’t see anything I wanted I should let him know and he would order.I will continue to shop here.I recommend this store.”
“Love the food so far and still sampling more items on each visit. The many different sauces are amazing and go very well with the kebabs. It's so nice to finally have a place on Long Island that serves shawarma. The service is fantastic as well in that they're all so welcoming and nice. Highly recommended!”
“After hearing so much about this spot, was treated by a friend to some vegetarian momos, veggie samosas, and a mango lassi. I’ve had momos once before and didn’t enjoy, but these definitely changed my view for the better. I was hooked on the peanut orange sauce and spicy red sauce that came with them; use with caution if you’re sensitive to heat like myself. The samosa was amazing and I enjoyed the crispy flavor of the shell with the sweet sauce. I never had such a filling, thick mango lassi before— will be my go-to drink going forward here. The woman behind the cashier that also worked on preparing the food was super sweet and patient with ordering. Will be back again to try the paratha cheesy momo wrap and paratha breakfast wrap!”
“I walked into the store when they first opened their doors and had the pleasure of meeting Dhira, the new store owner! So helpful and knowledgeable about products and totally not a pushy salesman! Have met two other young men that work there and they too were so helpful and knowledgeable! The thing I find most impressive is that they always remember me when I walk in and I have always been greeted with a smile upon my entry! Loyal customer forever! Thank you! ?”
“This place has all the goodies and staples u need and at an affordable price! Their hot food is my favorite, onigiri and lunch portions of mango salmon and rice. You really can’t go wrong especially if you know what you are looking for.”
“This little gem, exemplifies the expression, “it’s not the size of the dog in fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog!”A great resource chock-a-block with goodies up to the rafters. Well stocked, with a wide variety of all things healthy. Including the new, & trendier items as well as the old “health nut” standbys my parents loved.Impeccably clean, a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Years ago, this is the kind of place that you would find elsewhere and only wished that they open shop in Forest Hills”
“Small but very nice Japanese grocery. I bought a bento and it was very good, bought some miso, mushrooms, dashi and other items. It was reasonable. The cashier was very helpful.”
“The parking lot is always insane and the store is smaller than other Trader Joe's locations, but it's still a great store. The store may be small but I have yet to come up short of the products I'm looking for when shopping there.”
“Garden Gourmet really is an oasis in this neck of the Kingsbridge-Riverdale woods. The quality is uniformly high, with a few exceptions, and the prices are decent. More expensive than, say, Stop & Shop across the street, but overall a vastly superior store. Produce selection is abundant, with plenty of organic options. You can tell the store has a buyer who cares about quality. Again, with exceptions. They occasionally sell Sunset brand products, like tomatoes, which are not good. They should do better quality control on tomatoes. Also, there are many bagged veggies, like spinach and salads, which can contain spoilage and are best avoided. I wish they would eliminate these, but I guess people like them because the veggies are pre-washed. But there are plenty of fresh alternatives to these. The meat and chicken section also is good quality, but can be pricey, except they have an excellent deal on Bell & Evans chickens, which are top-notch. (They also offer cheap mass-produced Perdue chickens which are tasteless, but can be avoided.) The butchered meat selection is not huge, more select, but good quality and reasonably priced. However, if you're going for processed packaged meats, like sausages and other deli cuts, they have tons of high-quality imports, along with quality sliced ham, turkey, and other cold cuts that they package themselves. Their fresh fish selection is small, but good quality and not cheap. Smoked fish, though? Huge selection. Then there's the cheese -- a superb curated spread that's massive considering the size of the store, with many great prices. One picayune exception: their house-made fresh mozzarella is bland. Luckily they have other brands. Garden Gourmet obviously prides itself on their house-made products, including bean salads, olives, slaw, potato salads, etc. -- and these are uniformly good. They also offer a TON of prepared cooked food for take-home meals, but I never buy that stuff because I cook for myself. It sure looks and smells good though. The GG has a HUGE selection of locally sourced bread off all types that blows away any supermarket. Also a nice pick of cakes and pies and other baked goods that are either house made or locally sourced. One other criticism of GG: Their coffee beans are inferior. I wish they'd get a new supplier for these. Othewise there is SO MUCH more I could say about this store -- like discuss their IMMENSE selection of products imported from mainly Eastern European countries -- but I've blabbed on enough. If the Garden Gourmet ever closed down I'd be shattered.”
“Hey super kool Dominican store they don t have the old Bodega stores I grew up in sandwiches and food great. The food prepare G is excellent in making food much respect”
“Phil is amazing! Always calling ME when my prescription is ready and he delivers it for me. He makes everything so convenient which is what I love about this pharmacy”

“The variety and quantity of fresh vegetables, tubers and fruits is phenomenal. They turn their inventory over very frequently so everything is absolutely freshest you'll find.We have scheduled going to trader Joe's on a weekly basis just to pick up fruits, vegetables and fresh stuff.Folks are working or very friendly. You can talk to him, but don't forget they're working and they're good at what they do.We have switched our allegiance from trader Joe's on metropolitan new woodhaven boulevard to trader Joe's or just off Queens boulevard and Yellowstone boulevard. It has a great great variety. More so than the metropolitan avenue store. After all, it's a lot bigger.Very very highly recommended!”
“Love this place. Always stocked nicely produce is not abundant but has important things. Prices always great and employees very friendly. Meats are very expensive but not really what I buy. Feels like everything is healthy to eat.”
“Friendly, significant delays with opening time on several occasions, but great service, lowest prices I know of for african items, vast variety of produce in stock.”
“This store is very friendly and helpful many times I didn't have enough to get my toddler the snacks he desired but the guy would often let me slide in the most nice way and I noticed the kindness and sit I appreciate it wish there were more people out here like him because a lot of us single moms struggle low key”
“I like how it is a small store. Everything is easy to reach and pick up and buy everything you want in just 15 minutes max ?The prices are so good tooComparig by big supermarkets you spend an hour or more and you buy extra stuff and go home without byuing what you looking for ?☀️As advice, some fruits and vegetables most to use it the same day, not for stocking up”
“I rarely ever write a review about anything, but I will say I was in the neighborhood and decided to drop in and wow the amount of Fresh and delicious Latin cuisine/food is unmatched. The people who work there are so kind.”
“The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is great, quiet, and peaceful. The workers are very kind hearted. They are always smiling and the behaviour of each employees is nice. There are different sorts of foods. They have many vegetarian options as well. You will never know how great this place is if you don’t try it yourself. The appetizers are very good over here as well. When I tried the appetizers at this place, it was better than many of the other places I have tried. I became speechless after trying the food at this restaurant. The atmosphere is clean compared to other restaurants. There are many more things I would like to say about this restaurant but words can’t express how great this restaurant is.
Kid-friendliness: They love when kids come to this restaurant.”
“What an incredible find!!! We stepped into another world after visiting the Botanical Gardens. The array of specialty foods was dazzling. When we asked about some meats and cheeses to take home we were treated like royal guests. We were given tasted of prosciutto wrapped around freshly made ricotta drizzled with the best tasting balsamic vinegar ever. It was like taking a private food tour of Little Italy. The quality was superb and the cost was reasonable but the bast was the ambiance. Don't miss a visit to this store that has been in business for over one hundred years!!”

116-09 Queens Blvd, Queens“I love this place! We buy our prosciutto here once a month and I love browsing the aisles while waiting because there’s so much to look at and buy! The proprietors are lovely and patient + their coffee is AMAZING.I was broken-hearted when Cheese of The World closed on Austin Street after 50+ years. It was one of my favorite places to stop in and I learned so much about cheese and gourmet food from shopping there and chatting up the staff. Cipollina is filling their spot in my heart.”
“The store is very unique, the place is not big, but I can find what I need at a glance. The price is similar to other stores, which feels good and convenient for everyone.”
“I bought a bag of frozen panelle and made them for dinner last night. They were absolutely fabulous, imported from Sicily and very authentic tasting. I served them in between bread, with a squeeze of lemon on top. My whole family was very satisfied with dinner. My kids also love their imported Italian peach iced tea, which I bought there. It was definitively worth the trip into Queens to buy them!”

469 East Tremont Avenue, Bronx“This is a grocery store that not only provides daily necessities, but also cooked food, salads, bread and other items. There are also free parking spaces on the roadside at the door.”
“Wan Wan Mart offers everything you need at affordable prices. It’s exactly what the neighborhood needs, considering we’re so close to Bell Blvd and all the overpriced products that comes with it. The owners are nice and the store is clean. I order sandwiches from here, on the weekends, for day trips, along with countless other snacks. I love this place.”
