“Perfect day, perfect baby shower! Hosted my daughter’s baby shower at Sand Lake Merchant middle of May (yes it was a sunny day believe it or not!) Very comfortable atmosphere. Accommodating, Organized and very clean. The upstairs event area was a perfect setting for our family and friends. Melissa, the Event Coordinator, managed/supported us to ensure a lovely event. She made sure everything was in order and just right along with guiding us with those things we wouldn’t have thought of. Her friendly, cheerful nature was welcoming to all. The upstairs event area has 2 restrooms and a bar plus a kitchen area with industrial refrigerators- barn door closure from main event area. Don’t fret on parking as there is ample parking across from the Towne Tavern which is just a few steps away. As shared earlier- it was a perfect day, a perfect event. Highly recommend!”

“Emma was a fantastic server to our large dinner party on a busy Saturday night. The food & drinks came out flawlessly. The scallop special was particularly good. All the steaks that were ordered were cooked to perfection. We brought a photographer in to record the event and staff were very accommodating. Emma even cut up and served the cake we brought in. Would highly recommend for any type of special event dinner!”

“We hosted a 35 person work event at the Refuge Event space and it did not disappoint! Our guests loved that they could move between the inside space and the outdoor courtyard. The kitchen had everything you could need and more. Tara, the owner was super helpful and responsive leading up to and during the event. We are so happy we got to support a local business and had a wonderful time!”
