“My husband and I got married at the Kenmore last May and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue! We originally were planning to get married at a venue ~45min outside Albany, but switched to the Kenmore so that our guests could stay right next door, and to make the logistics easier for the morning of the wedding. We couldn’t be happier that we made the switch, and our guests loved that they could get brunch right in Albany, explore a little, and then walk over to the venue.The Kenmore is stunning from the grand staircase down to the bathrooms, and their staff made our wedding rehearsal and wedding day a breeze. There wasn’t an event booked the day before our wedding, so we were able to rehearse at the Kenmore and drop of some decor, which made the wedding morning a little less hectic. We also booked Katie O for our day of coordinators, which allowed us to start hair and makeup in the bridal suite at 9am without paying an extra fee, which was unique among a lot of venues we looked at. We had our ceremony on the Mezzanine, cocktail hour in the bar, and dinner and dancing in the ballroom, and it was so easy for guests to move between spaces, and there was more than enough space for our 100 guests. My husband and I aren’t big dancers, so it was really nice to have the separate bar area where we could chat with our guests without being right next to the dance floor. Another perk was that after the wedding, a bunch of our guests headed to one of the bars across the street to continue the party. We’ve recommended the Kenmore to all of our friends and family, and hope we get to attend another event there soon!”

“Great place to hang out and play whatever game you may be into. Board games, CCG's, TTRPG's, miniatures, etc. Whatever kind of gaming you're into, there is likely a day of the week (or multiple) that they have people there playing it.”

“Thank you for everything you do, WCA. You are appreciated. It's a historic social club for women. They have sisterhood- like events. It's for a girl's girl and a supportive environment for women. The membership is around 50 or so dollars a year. The age ranges vary, but if you are looking for a community if women who may have attended a sister school or are looking for women centered social events, it's wonderful. You'll meet many intellectual and career oriented women. It's lovely. Everyone is lovely. They also have community based events that support women and children in the geographical area.”

“The State Room was the first venue that my husband and I visited and we weren’t expecting to be so completely enamored! We would compare every other wedding venue we visited afterwards to The State Room. From the beginning, Lisa and Tom made us feel so at ease with wedding preparations and planning. They were always a phone call or email away and responded almost immediately. They were as invested in planning our wedding as we were and made sure that we followed a timeline and got things done–Tom and Lisa acted as our wedding planners! On top of that, you can’t beat the beauty and grandeur of the venue–just stunning!Tom showed up to the church about an hour before the ceremony to help out–he helped carry my dress and bouquet and made sure I had whatever I needed. You really are his priority and he makes it known. After the ceremony, Tom is right there to give you a bottle of water and whisk you back downtown in his car.I could write an entire review for the food itself. Everyone at the wedding was so full from the amount of food they ate–the largest prime ribs we have ever eaten, endless appetizers, and mountains of cake. And then a fun food finale to top it all off! Our guests are still talking about the food!We had the most wonderful wedding thanks to Tom and Lisa and the rest of the staff at The State Room!”

“My step son Justin Park has played indoor football at Afrim's Sports park in Albany for several years. I saw a Tornado table there months ago with kids wanting to play but the table was all jammed up and not playable. Today I went to watch the indoor football game and brought my bag of Tornado tools and parts and replaced the bearings, a fews guys and pins, cleaned up the playing surface, and rods, new balls and repaired the broken coin slot. Nobody knew who I was or why I was doing this. I had my 518 Foosball shirt on and then met and exchanged personal info with the owner Afrim. I love this sport and love Afrims Sports.”

“My wedding was perfect. Nor was super responsive to all of my questions, and extremely accommodating to my last minute changes to an already last minute event. Nor took on my wedding in four weeks and executed perfectly. My wedding was so beautiful, on time, and organized. I can not thank Sixty State enough for my perfect special day”

“When I retire, I want to live at Staybridge Suites. They are my favorite hotel. I always receive the best treatment. I'm safe while traveling for business overnight. They offer breakfast and dinner for free. Their staff are professional and helpful. When can I move in?”

“We arrived early and on a last minute notice. Since I drive a tour bus, I need to sleep during the day and drive at night so a comfortable/quiet hotel is important. They made sure I had a quiet room and gave me a view of the bus as well as they personally got permission from the mayor to allow me to park out front. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and even gave me a space heater to make sure I could sleep well. The service alone makes this hotel worth it. Also great wifi so I was even able to play a couple games.”

“We just had a private party for 40 here and they really exceeded expectations across the board. The food was fantastic and interesting for a buffet line, the service from the coordinator/server and bartender was really excellent, the beer selection was world class, and it was a cool interesting old building. For food we had chicken parm (really good), a great braised (?) pork dish, a large salad that was artfully presented, and the green beans and asparagus were perfectfully lightly charred, everyone was commenting on them. Only downsides were the unexpected step down into the bar, & chairs up on tables in the unused front bar. They are really well organized for private parties with extensive menus and prices posted online. Very impressed”

“This hotel is beautiful. For those who need a place to stay, you won't be disappointed. The front desk check-in was friendly and fast. Show Evan some love when you go. He was abundantly helpful. He pratically mapped out how to get around the unique layout of the hotel. The first impression was great. Do not let the exterior fool you. The inside is spacious and modern. I want to talk about the staff. I would give the entire staff 10 stars if I could. This hotel accommodated March Madness teams, a wedding, and a 7 State Delegation Council on Friday, March 29th. Go over to the restaurant and enjoy the service of Dave, Tony, Danielle, Ava, and Hayley. Bring your groups here, and have your wedding here. The Crown Plaza has thee best Bartenders and Management I've ever experienced. Thank you all for a memorable evening! Just book the room and enjoy yourself.Rooms: I stayed in a suite that was top-tier quality. The bed was incredible. Im 140lbs and felt like i was sleeping in a cloudFood & drinks: Big D's restaurant is delicious. Try the burger. 5/5 taste and quality.Noteworthy details: Close to the Albany Airport”

“As I plan to visit a friend in Albany, I can't help but to screatly hope she wants to go have dinner here. We went last year for her birthday and l was highly impressed. This establishment gives everything you would hope for in an upscale steakhouse. We went here on a Saturday evening as a party of 3. We had drinks, appetizers, a full meal, and dessert. My Ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the sides were so big they could have been shared. The waitstaff was very sophisticated and friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu. I would recommend going here if you have something to celebrate or if you would like to impress someone. Not often, I give a place a 5/5.”
