Vivi Pet Care
3105 21st Ave, AstoriaFirst grooming experience for my mini golden doodle. Called in based on previous reviews - I wanted to see first hand what the place was like before just booking anywhere. The smell as you enter is so fresh and clean ..smells like a spa I would go to! I was greeted by Kaitlyn at the door and shown around the facilities. After providing vaccine records and completing forms my Bridget was scheduled in an hour later. Vivi greeted Bridget, listened to what cut I wanted and took her back, simply and easy and very welcoming! I collected Bridget 2hrs later and was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED. I will be back and recommend anyone who fears their little one may be a little nervous to take them here. They will work their magic!

Tom's Pet Supply
21-11 Broadway, AstoriaTom's Pet Supply has a large variety of products and services. They actually work with Animal Care Center and help the surrounding communities get their pets vaccinated at low cost or no cost. I admire the dedication they have towards the community and outreach centers. Thank you, ACC and Tom's Pet Supply.

Dr Pet MD
25-63 Steinway St, AstoriaWe where new pet parents and she answered all of our crazy questions. Now at 4years old and a move we still go. Always helpful and any time I’ve had to wait it has been due to another person being late or an emergency.

Queens Low Cost Veterinary Center
28-27 Steinway St, AstoriaI can’t recommend this place enough. Dr Ali was so patient, kind, informative, and comforting when dealing with an emergency with my cat. He broke down pricing and explained what was vital and what could wait for a later date, and was so kind about planning and executing emergency care for my cat. If you want to know if your pets are in hands of people who truly want to help and care for your pets like their own, go here! 10/10 They saved my cat’s life!

Bark&Bone
30-65 33rd St, AstoriaWe can’t say enough good things about this dog walking service, specifically Caleb! We have a Bernedoodle that is a gentle giant, but also a little anxiety ridden and a scaredy cat. Caleb has been so patient with him and allowed him to explore at his own pace. He also knew just the right pups that would get along with ours to do social walks. We appreciate the love and attention our guy got, and also the consistency Bark N Bone provided to have the same dog walker for each time we were on the schedule. Thank you!

Il Nonno Ristorante
25-17 Astoria Blvd, AstoriaThis charming Italian restaurant is a welcome addition to Astoria, especially after the closing of Trattoria L'Incontro. The service is friendly and impeccable. We enjoyed delectable Risotto al Frutti di Mari, Fettucini Bolognese and homemade Tiramasu. The sides of spinach and broccoli rabe were fine but indistinguishable, and need more flavor (garlic!). Everything tasted quite fresh.

Cookie Crumz
29-18 Ditmars Blvd, AstoriaHaving cookie cravings??? This is a MUST have spot! The love put into this place really shines through, the quality of the cookies, shakes and other menu items are unique. The customer service is 10/10. You can have your cookies warmed up and have them right on the spot & if they don't have your cookie of choice on display they can make it for you!!!!! I brought my daughter here and we tried out a few items and they all were unique but most importantly not sweet. I don't know how they do it but it was perfection. We started off with a gorilla cookie with is massive it's cut into 7 hefty pieces that are easy to pull apart & share. The cookie itself is thick, has milk chocolate but so good. We love milk shakes so we tried a vanilla which is classic exactly what you would expect & we also tried the iced raspberry hot chocolate shake the raspberry flavor really comes through in this one it was a little much for me however if you like raspberries you would enjoy this. The New Yorker is the best cookie over ever had my goodness it's a classic black and white cookie stuffed with cheesecake filling unreal. My daughter fell in love with this cookie right away. We also got a wookie which is a waffle/cookie and it's served with ice cream really good if your looking for a slight crunch taste was not sweet at all everything blended well.

Nonnas 1977
29-13 23rd Ave, AstoriaLove the unique options here! Being from California it's so strange that there's no pepperoni slices just ready, so I got The Gloria and was not disappointed. The basil and freshly grated Parmesan were a nice touch. I would def come back. Let's go!

PokéWave
35-07 Broadway, QueensA hidden gem in Astoria! That Place is tucked into a peaceful room behind a poke bowl counter, and you'd never guess that the space was hiding such a tasty treat. The fish was fresh and delicious, lovingly prepared, with a good variety and options to add extras, like uni. We had the shorter 14-course menu, but nearby diners had ordered the longer menu, which included a couple of additional appetizers and some other mains, including a wagyu bite. Service was attentive but never intrusive; they kept our sake topped up and even surprised us with a slice of birthday cake at the end of the meal! While these sorts of menus are never cheap, I found the price quite reasonable for what we got. This is a great option for a special night out.
