As I arrived in Buffalo for a work event, my front end started shaking and sounded like it was falling apart. The next morning I went to this location, expecting them to tell me there was a huge delay, like the Nissan dealer told me. Nissan told me they couldn’t guarantee anything but show up at 9:30 and they will see what they could do. Knowing Pep Boys opened up at 8 AM, I was there shortly after they opened. From the moment I checked in, they took care of me. Professional and kind.
I fully expected it to be something like the axle or a wheel bearing. As did the mechanic when he first drove it.
Fortunately, somehow, all five of my lug nuts on the left front wheel were loose. I could not tell, but once the car was on the left and unweighted, the mechanic said he could easily spin them with his fingers.
They were very honest with me, and I was on the road in less than one hour. They could have told me it was an axle or wheel bearing and charged hundreds of dollars which I happily would’ve paid so I could get home. They didn’t. Thank you”
