Jantzen Terry DVM
100 Mills Ave, Las VegasOur weenie dog was attacked by 2 big dogs and was left with a huge cut on his hip. Dr. Jantzen knew exactly what to do. It's been a little over 2 weeks and he's almost fully healed. We are lucky to have such a great vet in our town. Staff was great too. Very professional.

The Skillet
623 12th St, Las VegasSouthbound trip on I-25, stopped in Las Vegas for gas and dinner. Randomly found The Skillet - and SO happy we did! Very unique and fun atmosphere, service was amazing and the food was out of this world!! We shared the Green Chili Cheeseburger Chimi and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. They have a very unique menu and I doubt anything on it will disappoint. Highly recommend The Skillet if you are anywhere close to Las Vegas, NM.

Prairie Hill Cafe
230 Plaza St, Las VegasBest quality food in town comes with a price. What it does well: Care put into the food. It's actually pretty good. Where it suffers: The dining room has the touch of a bourgeois housewife who has spent a good deal of hours in front of HGTV. The barroom is better, but lacks any aesthetic depth that I can imagine the original hotel had before it turned into the tourist trap it is now. Easily could be any hotel in any other town in America. The only sign you might be anywhere near New Mexico is the Old(!) Mexico kitsch being sold at a high markup in the lobby. Why?, because old white wealthy tourists eat up that stuff alongside their huevos for breakfast, and the Plaza is cleaning up Santa Fe's leftovers. My Advice: Sit in saloon or out front. Avoid the gift shop.
