Pet Care
Albin Patricia DVM
1025 Salazar Rd, TaosI've been a Salazar client since 1992 and have had multiple cats and dogs the entire time. (We topped out at 5 dogs and 4 cats a few years back.) My experiences over 30 years have all been 100% positive. They are competent, caring, kind people, from the front desk staff to the techs and vets. I have never heard a staff member be rude to any client, but I have heard clients be difficult and one even threatened that she would let her dog bite the tech who was trying to work with the dog. The one star reviews puzzle me for that reason. It is a busy office and there is a wait to have your animal seen - BUT, they hold a few slots open and if you call at 8:00 am, they can usually get you in that day if you feel your pet is having an emergency. There is an extra charge for this, but I've paid it and was glad I did. Sometimes a pet needs to see a vet without delay. Cost is not out of line and the care is excellent. I am blown away with their diagnostic and surgery skills, too. Yep, 5 stars with an exclamation point from me!

Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic
1025 Salazar Rd, TaosMy first visit with Salazar Vet Clinic was very reassuring. The front desk staff was super friendly. They loved my dog and were grateful that I came prepared with his medical history and muzzle (my dog bites). Dr. Sides was great with my dog. He got used to her real quick. She communicated well and made me feel heard.

Alys A La Cart
625 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, TaosA diamond in the rough is still valuable!! The overall experience is a 10. They have the herby fries that I will dream about- Samoan is gracious and has a servant’s heart with a vivacious personality. I would recommend anybody to stop at this wonderful place, it’s the best first impression on any town I’ve ever been through. And I understand they’re getting a facelift soon, but it’s still beautiful because of the people the food, and is the overall little piece of land. It’s on, and the patio is enchanted. Stop, you will not regret it, turn aroundcome back drive hours totally worth it! Howard the Dog approved!!Vegetarian options: Get the herby fries!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten- free choicesParking: Anywhere around the placesKid-friendliness: Atmosphere and plenty of choices and clean bathrooms!Wheelchair accessibility: It’s rough but a wheelchair could make the porch!!

Manzanita Market
103 N Plaza, TaosDrip coffee tastes watered down. It’s not very diluted but it doesn’t seem strong. Place is pretty dark without a lot of natural light in the morning, but plenty outdoor seating. Decor is cute. People come here for a light breakfast/lunch.

The Lounge by Rolling Still Distillery
110 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte suite d, TaosGreat craft cocktails (which change seasonally), locally made spirits, cozy atmosphere, live music on many nights - what else do you need?Vegetarian options: Any food item on their menu can be veggie - just have them leave the meat off of the cheese platter. They also have spiced nuts, olives, and breadsticks.Parking: There’s parking around the corner on Bent Street, on the Plaza, and in the John Dunn Shops parking lot. Metered but free after 5 pm.Kid-friendliness: People do bring kids, but it’s a cocktail bar atmosphere. Outside is better.Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult. The entire Taos historic district is tough on anyone with mobility issues. Sidewalks are narrow and in bad repair, and curbs don’t have wheelchair ramps. Once you get into the lounge, however, it’s all on one level.

Bread Club Taos
616 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, TaosWe stumbled upon this place around breakfast time, and godDAMN was that a win! This is the kind of place with pastries that have a cult following and will sell out if you don't get there early. Apparently we just missed some kind of legendary sausage roll, but we got one of the last garlic-herb-cheese-onion things and it was fucking MAGICAL. We also got the hummingbird nest and the mint-creme-filled thing. Both were lovely. Everyone there is friendly and very enthusiastic. It's just a really great place. Note: we didn't get to try this because we didn't know it was an option, but... they have avocado toast with CANDIED BACON. Someone please get one on my behalf and SAVOR THAT SHIT.

Anaconda Bar
317 Kit Carson Rd, TaosHad a good meal hear on our second night in Taos. ( my family has eaten at other Heritage properties) The food was good I had the steak and my wife had the pasta. Both were delicious and the desert was pretty phenomenal get the Smore! Service was fine and probably my only complaint was our waitress was pleasant but overall friendly and with so few people not as attentive as expected. I actually had to get up and get my own drink when wanted to what whiskeys they had. I would have figured she could have either suggested one or restaurant should make a list of what they have. I feel if I have to get up and look myself then that takes away from the experience. I really enjoyed the meal and again the food is good . So this complaint is really just for constructive criticism

Martyrs Steakhouse
146 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, TaosMy husband and I enjoyed a superb dinner on the patio at Martyrs Steakhouse. The white fish special w rice pilaf was outstanding as was the steak. We shared a delicious cheesecake for dessert. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. In addition, our pup was traveling with us and was graciously welcomed and very comfortable on the patio. She was immediately given a bowl of water. The patio is quite large and comfortable. In addition, there are heaters available if needed. We will definitely be back for another outstanding meal on our return to Taos.
