2912 Boardwalk, Wildwood“Cap Swag is probably the best place to go for hats in wildwood. It has a large selection of hats and they are always are receiving new shipments so the selection is always changing. They also have nice staff who know what they are talking about. The only complaints I have with them is that you can’t get a hat fitted there which is a real bummer.”
“Great place; I look forward to coming here every year on vacation. I am big into shark fishing and turn to Jim’s bait and tackle for everything I need. I have never been disappointed, only impressed.”
“I could not be more happy with the merch I ordered. I purchased three hoodies for Christmas gifts and I am 100% satisfied with the quality, sizing and pricing. They also threw in free shipping which is nice for a small business. Also, pleasantly surprised with a handwritten thank you note in the package. Very thoughtful and exactly why I will continue to shop this small business!”
“It’s hard getting up on a surf board. And it can be frustrating when you don’t. I have been working on my core and leg muscles for several months specifically in preparation to get up on a surf board because, as you may know, I’m a full grown man—not a little kid. Give a kid a board and they’ll get up. Probably right away. But not us adults. We need lessons! (And work on our core and hip flexors.) When I found Chris and his groovy gang of 7 mile surfers, it was like finding treasure on the beach! Being around Chris, you can tell he has surfing in his bones. He exudes patience and kindness. What he wants to give you? Not just the joy of standing up on a surf board as you ride the sparkly blue-green ocean in the July sun, but the joy of learning something new! Everyone in our class were first timers and we all got up and even rode the same wave together. So now I call myself a surfer! I surf buddy. And you can too. Sign up on line and then show up at 81st beach ready to ride the Atlantic. And shout out to Chester County Training for getting me ready for this adventure!! And look for me at Nun’s beach!”
“Lisa was very helpful and handy. She helped my two rods up with tackle. Gave us a great location to go fishing and crabing, and the bait was exactly what the fish and crabs wanted. Thank you for a great experience.”
“Local knowledge goes a long way. Everyone from the owners to the staff of both young and seasoned wave riders are well versed. I’ve always been happy with purchases from footwear, sunglasses, skateboards, surfboards and clothing. Even the occasional beach day essentials. This is Cape May’s real surf shop.”
“Wanted green sneakers. Service member tried to help me, but system did not show any. She needed to assist another customer so I went on my way. Found them 2.5 seconds after walking down the sneaker isle. Pretty good”
“Best shop on the island for Avalon & stone harbor branded t-shirts and crew neck sweaters. Manager has always been nice to us. A few years ago during covid he even gave us some free face masks”
“We were staying in Stone Harbor on the bay side and my kids wanted to fish. This was the second shop I stopped in and the customer service was amazing. They showed me rod/reel combos in my price range, which rig would work best for kids, and what kind of bait should work. We caught a bunch of fish from the dock (83rd st in Stone Harbor, black bass, spot, an oyster cracker or so i'm told that's what they are called) and the kids had a blast casting and reeling in some fish. No keepers but catching anything was fun for them. These stores can be intimidating if you don't know what you are doing. The gentlemen took the time to show me what to use, understood I was a Dad that just wanted to cast a few with the kids, and set me up to make that happen. Awesome experience and I will definitely be going back!”
