“What a fantastic move I had thanks to the guys at Strongmile Movers!! Joe, the owner, sent a three-man team to help with my move from one apartment to another a few streets over in Highland Park… and he could not have sent three harder-working men for the job! Casper, Devin, and David showed up with GREAT attitudes and immediately set me at ease with their friendliness and professionalism. As a single woman trying to move a 2 bedroom apartment by herself, I needed all the help I could get, and I felt like I was in great hands with these three! The guys made sure I was comfortable and relaxed during the move (they literally set up a chair in the shade and requested that I sit and take a load off!! I didn’t lift a finger!) while they did all the heavy lifting. They went the extra mile at every opportunity: they wrapped my couch, TV, and other fragile items with care before loading, and patiently conferred with me at the new apartment to figure out the best furniture layout for each room. Joe even stopped by personally to chat with me and check in to make sure the move was starting off smoothly, which was an extra boost of confidence that I was in good hands. I could say so much more about how this team made my move the easiest I’ve ever had in over a decade renting and relocating, but suffice to say you get EXACTLY what you pay for when you hire Strongmile: peace of mind, quality customer service, and fantastic work ethic. I will be recommending Strongmile to everyone I know in the area!!”

“Very easy rental process. The 16-passenger van is my favorite although there is no luggage space. We use duffle bags under the seats and small suitcases at least (2) 9x14x21 in the back. Family Road Trips.”

But i cant stress most about the customer service esp in a time where its not practiced in many retail or service centers. 5 stars for this location.”
“Friendly, informative reps at the store i rented it from in Newport news VA. Also, reps on the phone calls I made responding to couple texts from uhaul office also great customer service. Great added offers. I felt much better talking to all I spoke to regarding the rental. I was nervous about truck breaking down or such on the one way from Newport News VA to Plainfield NJ, they all made me feel better and not worry. I was so relieved that the one way 10' rental was a newer model and low mileage. Truck was enough for what I needed to move. Thanks so much”

“Extremely happy with the car (really nice Nissan Altima), the staff (very friendly, courteous, accommodating, and I'm sorry I forgot your name), the location (walking distance from just about anywhere in Metuchen) and the rates (very reasonable), and I'd definitely recommend!
Just a couple of very minor caveats, nothing that would cost them a star:
1. Online reservation process is a little quirky. Pickup time had to be 10 AM or earlier, otherwise nothing was available. There was no problem with me picking up the car later than 10 when I asked, though.
2. You MUST have your own auto insurance with collision coverage, regardless of whether or not you select CDW.

The service has been consistently excellent, especially thanks to Tamaris, who stood out for her kindness and efficiency. The cars were in optimal condition, and they were very fuel-efficient. “This was the best uhaul location I have ever dealt with. I had to rent trucks twice due to a stressful and hectic move. Both times, they had what I needed and gave me a good price. They were super friendly and both times I needed the trucks longer with short notice and they accommodated me with no issue. I moved to Southern NJ and I would make the drive to rent from them again if I ever needed a truck. Thank you so much for making a stressful situation a little easier. You guys are the best! It was a pleasure doing business with you and I will tell everyone I know to go to you guys if they need a uhaul truck!”

He is an older man but knows what he is doing. Loved my experience at this U-Haul place. In Elizabeth NJ. G&J Carcare East Saint George Avenue, Roselle NJ 07203. Got to Connecticut in no time.”
“We rented a 10ft Uhaul truck, which is ideal for a 1-2 bedroom apartment. I suggest you have dollies to move your heavier pieces, and load truck smartly as things can shift around. This truck drove very smoothly, had good pick-up with the v-8. This truck does not have a ramp, but is lower to easily step off, load your stuff. Not a complaint, but I would have someone get out, and physically assist when backing up. It can be tricky, and you are blind. Overall great experience, drop off at night no problem, left keys in drop box. This location on Rahway Ave is close to Route 1, and close to adjoining towns.”
“I normally don’t do these reviews, but this one is not once, but twice deserved. I’m in NJ working and got a car from Philadelphia airport and needed to extend due to job extensions and now I’m in north jersey and just driving in isn’t a convenience. Corporate budget couldn’t help, other locations hung up, and getting a person on the phone a the Philadelphia airport was impossible.
On a limb and ready to give up, I called this location that had nothing to do with my original booking. Not even a corporate spot.
I’m so happy I did. I was surprised by the first ring pickup and no automation… an actually person, and an amazingly nice and personable one. She helped me and made it painless and I swear I was done in a couple minutes vs the hold time everywhere else. Incredible. I wish I remembered her name.
Fast forward a week later… I need another extension. I call corporate, the airport, etc. no help. Then I remembered the beacon of hope last time. Sure enough, I called and got the same amazing woman that helped me last time. I remembered her, but didn’t expect her to remember me… then she pulled up my name and did. Amazing. She is a self proclaimed “older person” that still holds customer service at a high regard. I travel for work and reach a lot of these hotels and rental agencies, but this one will stick with me forever. She even invited me in for coffee and doughnuts even though I didn’t rent from them.
They can provide a level of service these big corporate locations can’t. I can’t recommended them enough, and will forever use them in the future in this area. I look forward to thanking face to face, but for now I hope this review (a serious rarity for me) will suffice. Your locations yet again restored my faith in customer service and maybe even humans in general haha!
