Carol Robinson's customer service was well above par! She is extremely knowledgeable, and answered EVERY question I asked, graciously, and fully. I was conflicted between Thermador and Miele. She was made the decision-making process much easier. Miele it is.

I have a brand new induction cooktop and it is a lemon. After 3 mos. They are trying to tell me it works when my food burns in the middle of a burner / pan and doesn’t cook on the outer edge of the pan. It’s raw. Worst service I have ever had . This is not how a luxury brand should operate.

Miele is horrible! Reported to the Better Business Bureau. No wonder they have an F (FAIL) rating with the BBB on a A to F scale! They sent a service tech to my house to repair my dishwasher. They said it was out of warranty so the repair cost wouldn’t be covered, which I understood. The tech said the cost would be $1,200. For a $1,100 dishwasher! I refused the repair, so they are charging me $239 for an estimate including a $150 travel mileage fee for them to come out! A mileage fee?!? These fees were NEVER disclosed but now they are threatening to send the bill to a collection agency and say they make “no exceptions” for these charges, including the fact that Miele never disclosed or discussed them! I even offered to pay the $89 labor fee, even though that wasn’t disclosed, but they said the mileage fee must still be paid with it, “no exceptions”. Many others have complained how exorbitant their repairs are now and how their service has gone down the tubes. Miele - Never again!

Decided that a perfectly working white Bosch dishwasher was just out dated. Silly me thought let's try Miele's dishwasher. As per the website "good reasons for choosing Miele" are the following:Quality, technology, convenience, support and design.Well within a year of owning the product I received numerous error codes that ended up coming back. I try myself to resolve the issues by following the instructions online. It ends up fixing it for a short period and then coming back again with error codes. Dishes were dirty when washed on the normal/regular mode. Was told by a representative that I should wash on pots and pans. Now it sometimes works. Not sure why even have normal mode then. Well the error codes continue so I contact Miele and setup a visit. Somehow a dishwasher that is a year old needs parts replaced. They attempt to charge me 500 for the product plus 200 for the visit. The service tech is able to get me a discount. Amazing that I even have to pay for a single thing for a brand new unit. Parts eventually are replaced and the error codes after the fact continue. After 4 maybe even 5 visits now from service tech and various "reasons" that were somehow my fault (dishwasher branch under sink supposedly wrong size yet worked for Bosch) needs to be larger. The service tech didn't know the name of the item that I needed to change but once I located it on Amazon he used the exact name in his notes. I end up replacing the part and a week later another error code. Miele sends a tech again and they locate that there was in fact an error code but still no assistance. Now customer care here seems to be a joke. So far I have had techs come to my house. I have paid 400 in visits for no reason and no repair. The last visit was finally covered by Miele. This company is a scam and does not care about their consumers one bit. They claim to be high end but I even needed metal trim to be fixed because it would pop out from normal use. So far I have no been impressed what so ever with any part of this company. For a high end brand you would expect some appreciation and respect for their consumers yet I have only experienced the opposite so far. It all makes sense why Consumer Reports does not rate them well. While on my calls with Miele I have been hung up on when told to hold. I have not been called back numerous times. As a matter of fact I am currently waiting for a call back.If I receive more assistance and/or any changes occur I will be sure to come back and change the review.

I have dealt with Miele since they first came to the United States and were headquartered in New Brunswick New Jersey many years ago. I have all Miele appliances in my house but I am sorry to say that the customer service has gone downhill over the years. I know there was a change at the head of Miele USA about seven years ago and since then it seems to me that the customer service has gotten considerably worse. Waiting times on the phone have dramatically increased and if you have to schedule an appliance repair, you have to wait many weeks to get service. You would think that premium appliances which cost a lot of money would have better service. Maybe it’s time for another change at the top.

Terrible! I own model 1724LP range. Dual fuel range, LP cooktop, electric oven. The problem I have has continued from Day 1. Problem is with the cooktop. It doesn't light properly. The burner is turned on, the electrode sparks, but the gas doesn't light until 10 to 15 seconds later. Meanwhile gas builds up and when it does finally light, POOF, flames shoot out from under the pot or pan. VERY scary! I have removed the pan to get the burner to light so that it doesn't blow up in my face.I have contacted Miele three times and the issue is still not resolved. John, in technical support at Miele, told the technical advisor that was at my house trying to fix the range that there was a fix for the range but Miele was NOT going to apply the fix to my range because it was an upgraded fix! This range is still under warranty. Miele knows there is a burner issue and Miele is not going to fix it? So, let me get this straight. I spend $6,000 for a range, it doesn't like to light properly, gas is spewing out of the burner, and I should just wait until it decides to light? I should blow my kitchen/self/house up? What kind of organization is this?I have been trying to contact someone at Miele for two days. I call customer service and end up on hold, no music in the background to know I am on hold and then get hung up on. I call back, finally get someone and they are in another part of the world. Call back again and finally, after who knows how many call backs, I get someone based in the US.ALL I WANT IS TO HAVE MY RANGE THAT IS UNDER WARRANTY FIXED SO THAT IT WORKS THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED TO WORK!!DO YOU UNDERSTAND MIELE!?!?!?!?P.S. I will post an update when I have more info8/8/23 UPDATEI know it has been a while since i updated this post. After countless emails, phone calls, etc, Miele did send me a new range in September of 2022. However, I have the same issues. I am at this time trying to get my money back. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I am wasting my day fighting for a $1000 rebate that I am due from Miele. This is the second poor occurrence with their rebate process and it seems to reflect on a disingenuous corporate management.

I purchased a $12,000 refrigerator 5 years ago. I purchase the 5 year extended warranty. The fridge was making noises and not cooling occasionally. Miele service came to fix it. After at least six visits over months they left the fridge complete not working. In the meantime the warranty expired. Customer service would listen, then do nothing. I called and set appointments, they stopped coming out. Most recently they have taken the approach that the warranty is expired. Real simple. The problem, started when the warranty had 8 months to go. They took months trying to fix it, and instead they completely broke it. Then they abandoned me by saying the warranty is expired. I have all the documents and I am not going away. This is just plain wrong. I thought we were buying the best, instead it is terrible.

We waited 3 weeks for an oven repair, moved my work schedule to accommodate the appointment and no one showed up. When I called, a rather useless assistant named "Andy" made no apology and just made a rather lame and uninformed assumption that someone called out so they were unable to complete the repair. It seemed that she was more bothered by my call interrupting the conversation she was having with her co-worker about macaroni and cheese. I have to say, this level of service from Miele is shocking to say the least.

Carol Robinson at Miele is absolutely amazing! She is so knowledgeable, so helpful and so intelligent. She is the only person who can both answer difficult questions and get answers to these questions that no one else can figure out with both speed and accuracy. I can not say enough wonderful things about Carol. She should run the company!!!!

Update: Not sure what was the point of you giving me this contact number and email? I called the number, the guy straight out told me that they are in India and cannot do anything. And email was sent on Jan 25, no reply as of Feb. 1stVery disappointed in US Miele! This is crazy how you spend $2k on a washer and was able to do only 2 loads before it broke. Customer service is useless, was waiting a week for a service tech to look at the brand new machine, never fixed the issue, need to wait another 10 days for another tech to come out again. What a joke.

Dealing with this brand has been the worst nightmare in terms of any sort of customer service I have ever experienced. Our new construction condominium bought all Miele appliances. Once we moved in, it became obvious that our stove did not work properly. We had technicians come from Miele four times in which they simply could not repair it, and finally agreed to replace the stove, three months ago. It has now been 6 months in our condominium without a working stove, and calling once a week to every two weeks has resulted in simply being stonewalled by their “customer service” and being told Quality Assurance will call me within 72 hours, which has never happened. This same process is continuing even with filing a complaint through the Better Business Bureau, with Miele saying they will deal with me directly and never getting back to me. This company is not worth your time or money.

They are the absolute worst product, I have a 7-year-old, 5-year installed coffee machine. The ceramic valve fails twice, I called and advised, "oh, the hard water problem." I said "what hard water problem"? Oh, you should have been told that you needed to treat the water through a softener or the machine will break down, "a known problem", also grind setting move from fine grind. Why?, grinders go faster with the fine setting. They said don't use the oily beans, I wasn't told a thing about the water, oily beans, grinding setting, or annoying and expensive maintenance issues, only 20 year life! On top of this, they were rude, the final report Miele failed!Quality lead said "I report to me", infuriating me offering $270.00 credit with arrogance, "Miele corporate run around. This Miele coffee maker is terrible, warranting moving to an alternate brand of coffee maker, many choices, NEVER MIELE! We don't deserve this treatment on top of an "inferior machine from the beginning." I was never told about these problems and once again, let me emphasize the way they block access to help, respond, divert, handle and reroute complaints and ultimately respond is horrific. Am I happy with the outcome? Of course not! Am I happy with the Machine?Of course not! Am I happy with the treatment? Without question, DISGUSTING!Combine them as a collective set of experiences driving this review, "Never again"!!! BEWARE! They offered, in all fairness credit for the last service of $270.00; against a >$500.00 service, for the same part from 2020, which was a >$400.00 service, after paying $4500.00 for the machine new ($4500 + $425 + $525 = $5450.00 for a coffee experience?). BTW it is now >$6500.00 new if bought on the current marketplace. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!! DON"T DO IT. What a terrible experience all of the way around. The arrogance of the quality person was appalling. The lack of responses from the US CEO, the customer service notes sent in multiple times and no response, and one of the owner directors in Germany, who re-routed my note to the same quality person in the USA who I refuse to interface with ever again, as a result, is startling. I also had one customer service person who was terrific and documented my case so thoroughly and in such a refined professional encounter, one of three people who were awesome yet 'self-labeled' powerless!!! to resolve. I mentioned to my wife that we will fill the eventual void in my cabinet with another coffee maker, but "NEVER AGAIN A MIELE"!, "MIELE" will not be the choice ever! Time will tell which quality machine will fit the cabinet opening.Look at the ratings folks....NOT GOOD! Miele touts such quality, up to 20-year life, etc., built tough, excellence in the froth of a cup of coffee, and multi-diverse production of various cups, settings, etc. This is all blatant misstatements of fact. I don't have a fluke with my machine, it is known when you start to probe, plus the experience is factually abominable and disgraceful from any customer interaction and handling. Don't waste your money, time, and effort purchasing and having to constantly descale, degrease, and carry wastewater containers continually across the kitchen to the sink, premature maintenance breakdowns, and issues that are not worth what isn't even a fabulous cup of coffee by any stretch. I had to drive to Starbucks for coffee during breakdown timing and was happy for the 5-mile round trip for my Pike with half and half. An inconvenience? Yes! A satisfactory result, absolutely, as I didn't have to worry about maintaining my cup after consumption, just disposing of it properly. My $200.00 Ninja at my vacation home is "the bomb" compared to this "hunk of built-in junk"! Buyer, beware, you will pay handsomely and regret your purchase and face off with extreme lack of professional support with results that make you am even unhappier customer. Miele = Unprofessiona

Shout out to Carol Robinson!! Excellent customer service! I love my Miele products....refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, and vacuum BUT what makes the experience of owning these products even better are the people that help you when needing to troubleshoot. Carol Robinson at this center went out of her way to follow up via phone, email, and even face-timing to understand a tech challenge I was experiencing. 5 Stars are not enough for this amazing individual that helps back the Miele products. Thank you, Carol - ask for her when you are in the showroom and you will not be disappointed.

If you're reading this, DO NOT BUY a Miele countertop coffee machine unless you can afford to spend thousands repairing it over and over. We bought this high priced coffee machine thinking it would last us a very long time (2 in household). After 2 years and 2 months, the heater stopped working. We sent it in for repair at a cost of $400. It came back with the software set wrong and a tech fixed it over the phone. Fast forward about a year and what do you know, same issue. Another $400 to fix it but this time, no response from Miele after taking our money. Called to get an update and you need to provide more security questions than the bank in order to get an answer. No one else can repair the unit it would seem. Buy something else because if you don't, you're going to regret it. YMMV.
