“They always have a terrific black bean soup so I will usually get that versus a soup of the day. However, on this night, they had a chicken and dumpling soup that was offered with the grilled cheese of the day. It was delicious. Even told the waiter and manager that they should have it featured more often. The grilled cheese is always a novel and tasty treat”

“I am not from Jersey and had a different vision and definition of small, simple wedding than most brides that live in Jersey :) We were struggling to find something in SOUTH Jersey within our budget that could create the simple, fun, "us" ceremony and reception we wanted for our special day. We wanted to throw a huge party and FUN was our byword. I finally just googled "Barn Venues Near Me" and The Barn in the Gardens was the first suggestion. I reached out to Nicole and explained that I didn't like the terms rustic and farmhouse and hated burlap but was looking for a simple, laidback Woodland/Tea party vibe that incorporated books. We wanted dancing and lawn games and a fire pit where guest could roast s'mores and this venue delivered all that and more!Nicole is AMAZING! Her prices are reasonable and her packages are so inclusive of everything you would need for your special day. She has almost any decoration you would need and really listened to what we wanted and delivered. She is easy to deal with and her event space is perfect! It's been a month since our wedding and people are still telling us how wonderful and amazing the venue was and how much fun they had. Our guest had such a good time and loved Nicole and the space so much they are recommending The Barn in the Gardens to anyone they hear is in need of an event space - regardless of where in Jersey they live :)”

Beautifully kept very clean, the bar tender, excellent she was offering to help me set, because I was overwhelmed, she's priceless, just perfect for a small gathering. Thanks again Vic?”
“I’m not sure how they do it but the service is just as good as the authentic food they serve and the margaritas they keep pouring. We’ve been regulars here for years and will never go anywhere else for Mexican. We love sitting outside during the summer but the inside is equally as gorgeous.”
“Ballroom at Windsor-McCarthy Tree Farm is a beautiful venue. When my husband and I were searching for wedding venues, we knew this was it as soon as we were done with our tour. We knew we wanted a rustic fall wedding and the Ballroom at Windsor provided this with every acre of the farm. The ceremony space, that overlooks the C&D canal, is surrounded in trees that would just be starting to turn during our fall wedding.It was important that we be able to have the wedding and reception at one location. The Ballroom provided that and more by having a beautiful get ready area for the bride and groom.The owners Lynette and Jerry have a wonderful venue. They are very responsive and answered every question and concern we had during our planning process. The day of our wedding the weather did not cooperate. We woke up to gray skies and chilly temps. Lynette called me that morning to discuss an alternative and how we wanted to proceed. Unfortunately we did not get to used the ceremony space overlooking the canal, but the outside pavilion provided a beautiful ceremony spot as well. Even the weather could not change our the perfection of our day. Our guest enjoyed themselves and loved the venue.”

“No complaints. Place is very much revamped for service as opposed to entertainment. I did have to inquire about if my beverages were supposed to be delivered to my table or not, 20 mins after I placed the order thru the app on my phone. But other than that I had a good time!”
“Lovely wedding venue! Outdoor ceremony near the back of property and under the shade of big beautiful trees. Nice outdoor cocktail hour area. Inside Air conditioned reception area with bar. Beautifully finished hardwood floors. Really nice and clean restrooms too. Late evening the firepit was lit, which was a nice touch! Friendly owners who were on-site from start to finish.”

“The room was clean. The gym was more than adequate. I didn’t go in the pool but several folks were enjoying it. The breakfast was much better than the average “continental” mess. But most of all, the service was just so good that I felt at home. I Guess their rate was cheaper because of the age of the building? But it had no effect on the room or my stay in general.”

“Do not stay here. Front desk person wouldn't get off facetime enough to check us in. Was on it all night. Even when she came to our room to look at the crappy tv signal due to improperly installed cable wire( jammed into the outlet without a fitting on it).Our room had already been renovated but had wires hanging out of the wall. Hvac unit did not function properly the entire stay. Shower won't get hot. Barely got over room temperature.It's obvious the owner doesn't care about their hotel or guests!”

“I attended an event here. I found the place very updated, definitely had a nice bar and the food at the event was above average. Parking was confusing but ample. As you know if you have read other reviews I have given, I only give 5 stars for exceptional service and food.”
