And especially a male worker at customer service that went through all the trouble to search all the lost and found belongings and found my phone and wallet within a grocery bag.”

“Found this place when I was looking for more plants to buy in the summer, when the selection at Home Depot just wasn't up to par. This place is great, so many beautiful plants, and lots of beautiful planters too. The workers are very nice, they leave me alone to browse and enjoy the plants they offer for as long as I need. and I find myself going back again and again for my house plant needs. I also love their seasonal changes, I went for the first time in the fall season this month and their pumpkin and squash collection is amazing. I wish I knew about them last year for my pumpkin decorations!”

“I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to one of my favorite new local businesses.. I tracked down Cardinal garden center after seeing a delivery of beautiful laurel plants arrive at my neighbor’s house while I was out on a walk. I immediately knew I wanted to buy my plants at Cardinal because they were of such obvious high quality. Not only do they have lovely plants, but the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and just basically awesome. I’m new to the northeast so they spent plenty of time discussing my new yard’s many landscaping needs and walking me through their inventory. They also have an excellent selection of pots—much better than the local big box stores. On my first visit they helped me choose two large planters for a pair of enormous Boston ferns along with drainage rocks and top-notch potting soil. I also purchased a gorgeous pair of mums for my front porch and a set of boxwoods to later replace the mums. On a recent visit, I found the most beautiful carving pumpkins and a couple of cute decorative ones. Have you watched the movie “”You’ve Got Mail.” A visit to Cardinal is like stopping by “”The Shop Around the Corner.” You receive plenty of personalized service from a knowledgeable staff.I stopped by Cardinal this morning and discovered a wonderful selection of Frazier and Balsam Firs. They were very fresh and full. I also picked up a beautiful wreath.”

“Great selection of home improvement products. This location, however, is always busy. The addition of self checkout is convenient, but at times causes longer lines than checkout with a cashier would be. Most people inside the store are helpful in finding whatever you need.”

“As a new homeowner, I am not very handy at all. Was not sure even sure what to do with a snowblower I was given (does this thing even work? how do I turn it on?)From the very first call, this place went above and beyond. Debbie called me at least 5 times to coordinate pickup and drop off (due to my busy travel schedule)- she was super flexible, informative, and understanding of my needs- and she left so much important detail in her messages to me. For example, I had to suddenly go into the city on the scheduled drop off date, and she found a way to get my drop off scheduled for the next day so I could be there for it- and she also coordinated with the delivery tech to make sure he stopped to show me how to actually use the machine. She did this with minimal contact with me as I was in meetings all day.The tech that picked up and dropped off the snowblower gave me extremely detailed instructions on how to use the machine as was well as tips to take care of it and avoid future issues. Either Debbie told him I had no idea what I was doing, or he could just sense it from my questions- but he did a great job of giving me dumbed down instructions without being condescending or making me feel like an idiot.My experience from my first call to payment and receipt of my machine was exceptional and painless. I was listened to, prioritized, and treated with kindness and respect. I will be using them again for any equipment needs, and recommend you do too- especially if you are intimidated by machines/equipment/are not handy.”

“The best! I moved to Verona about a year ago and luckily this place is down the street from me. Sometimes I walk there just to see what they have for the season. The flowers I've purchased from here seem to last longer and grow larger than other garden centers. The prices are not outrageous like some other garden centers as well. It feels nice to not only support a local business but also get a product that is better from a large-chain box store as well. They also have a pretty large selection of seasonal produce, such as jersey tomatoes in the summer Honestly the best part is that in the fall they have really cute farm animals that you can visit!”

“I went here over the weekend. The place is beautiful. The owner let us see the greenhouse. It was amazing. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable about the different types of soil to help my plants. He even showed a sample of the new soil he just received. This place is 5 plus stars.”

“Richfield Farms and Garden Center, located centrally in Clifton is perhaps the quintessential go to place in the area for all your plant and garden needs, and also for some household needs as well. At almost any time during the spring, summer and autumn, there is something special around. From blooming plants and flowers, to their organic farmers market, to fall spectaculars, I never fail to come away with something good or useful. Mind you, the produce prices may be at times on the uppish side, but that's the way organic produce prices work. I always make it a point to get there a few times a year.”

“Fully stocked, nice garden area, ample parking. Minus 1 star for customer service. It's difficult to get assistance because the staff is usually chatting with eachother or on their phone. If you can get help then they're great and knowledgeable but until then, you may get a headache trying to get assistance. I'll still come back.”

“I need to take a minute to write about what a great experience I had with Joe the store manager. I came to Home Depot to return a small Item. When the sales associate who was initially helping me had trouble with the return, I asked to speak to a store manager. That is when I met Joe. He went above and beyond to help me and explain the return policy to me. He was polite, kind and very personable. People like that are rare today especially when you are dealing with a large company. I hope that the higher ups in the Home Depot establishment read this and recognize that they have a fantastic employee who should be praised. Thank you Joe!”

“A diamond in the ruff when you want to rent an updated van dirt cheap. Had to pick up furniture in NJ. Less than 2 hour trip. Have to place a deposit to secure the time it takes you round trip. The van was dirty because it just got back from a trip. Had to ask one of the guys to help me clean out the debris but overall an easy in and out experience. Will come back if I'm need of a van rental.”

“We were looking around for some plants for our front yard and decided to give this store a try for the first time. I have to say I had low hopes when I walked in and saw only a few teens working there. I was pleasantly surprised because Pete was great. He was very patient and explained everything to us. We left with a whole bunch of great plants. I hope I can keep them alive :-)”

“Not sure why the ratings for this location is so low, it's your standard Home Depot with standard employees. Not any kinder or ruder. Has restrooms, as per usual for Home Depot. Don't be afraid to ask for help, you might need to ask several people because sometimes people don't know what they are doing, but again, standard Home Depot lol. I like to check the items I'm looking for ahead of coming and check if they are in stock before I arrive.”

For the life of me, I do not know why this great store has a 2 star rating. Every time I have questions or help with painting, spackling, etc, Daniel L., in the paint department has been absolutely amazing. I give Daniel L 10 Stars, in the Paint Department. Always available, and goes out of his way to assist all customers that need assistance.Every Home Depot employee that I have asked where certain things are, have always been super fantastic.Needed assistance that did not pertain to Returns. Special thank you to "Nilsa", another outstanding employee that went out of her way to go the extra mile. It's people like this that keeps me coming back. Love this store better than the Lodi store.”

“"How Doers Get More Done" that's their motto guys. Doers, not people who need help. Doers, are people who get things done....usually without much assistance. Home Depot over the past 10 years or so have tried to pivot toward being a full service- Starbucks type business, but have failed miserably. Do not go here looking for help, don't go to home depot if you're "not sure" of what you need. Don't come here for curbside drop off or for *laughing out loud appliances to be installed or to hire a contractor to install something. You will be met with an insurmountable amount of dissatisfaction, disappointment, and waste a phDs worth of time. Watch a YouTube video on how to do it yourself and buy the materials and tools to DO IT YOURSELF. It's tile, and wood, and screws and glues and paint. It's not rocket science. It's not micro hand surgery, it's not vascular surgery.”
