This company was incredibly easy to work with. The workmanship was a high quality and the technicians were excellent, not to mention attention to details of using drop cloths on all floors. The service was as promised, the selection large and their knowledge of the products was impressive. I highly recommend this group . I turned an old , very rarely used wood fireplace into the newest electric technology, guided by then. Thank you to all at The Fireplace Place.

I bought my fireplace two years ago. It makes the room so cozy! It is probably on 4 hours a day and simply makes me happy! Installation was painless and when I accidentally crushed my remote, The Fireplace place replaced it quickly and easily. I love my fireplace and I love the Fireplace place!!!

We ordered doors for our fireplace over 2 years ago and still no doors. Continuing to get excuse after excuse from Joel. Trying to be patient, but it's a bit ridiculous that we can't get the product we ordered

Worst Business I ever had to deal with. Called them in January 2023 for Service. Finally came on March 8th. I previously gave them my make and model number; Paid $202 for a service call and they told me that the company (Vermont Casting) is out of business and can no longer get parts. They said I would need new "guts" and would cost around $500. They said they would have the parts in a couple of weeks and would call me. 6 weeks go by and they said that parts are still not in. July comes and I called them again; they said they have the parts and would call me to set up an appointment. Never heard from them. Called in August. Never called me back. Finally got a descent company to make the repairs. No Idea how The Fireplace Place is even still in business. Horrible Steve S.

While I have not purchased an item from this store, I had a wonderfully pleasant sales call with the owner, Joel. Joel immediately responded to my inquiry for a new insert, patiently answered many questions, and offered us a fair quote. I’d certainly recommend a conversation with Joel to discuss your needs, though am surprised to otherwise see such mixed reviews.

Stay away from this place. They were referred to me because they & 1 other place service the brand of fireplace I have. Called in November & first Available was in February. There was a problem with my remote. The guy came cleaned it out & said he had to order a remote & will come back. He said they don’t make the remote we had anymore but one with a blower which we didn’t have. Since we had to order a different remote we decided to order the blower with it. The guy said he would come back on Friday at noon & he never showed. I called the number & was furious. They rescheduled to come back the following week. The guy started to install it and said we had a short in the system and we needed to change the electrical connection. He called the electrician who came several days later fixed the short saying we did not need a new remote. This place does not hire their own employees but uses 3rd party to dispatch people. Would never recommend or use them ever again. The first guy should have tested if we had a short.

Forgot my initial first order, Then said it would be a week with a three week installation that never happened. Was the absolute worst customer experience I can say I have had in years. Not only was it it the fact that they kept saying they where going to repair the job. Then they just stared ghosting my phone calls to avoid their total lack of competence! Avoid this place they really are horrible from a customer service aspect and have absolute no respect or concern for their clients well being.

I've never written a negative review before and I'm usually very supportive of small businesses. Unfortunately, I had such a horrible experience with the Fireplace Place I felt compelled to share my experience. Despite the mediocre reviews on Google, my wife and I decided to use The Fireplace Place to replace our existing gas fireplace. We first visited better reviewed businesses, but their timeframe to install was much longer than we wanted. The Fireplace Place told us they could install significantly faster, so we decided to go with them. It was one of the worst mistakes we could have made. The installer cancelled on us a total of 7 times over the course of installation. We had to plan our work schedules around being available just for them to continually not show up. We always got the same excuse that they were sick. Installation should have only taken a few weeks tops, but in our case, it took 4 months. I eventually called the owner to complain about the service I was receiving. He failed to take ownership while blaming his employees using vulgar language describing them over the phone. I’ve never seen a leader of a business do something like this and try to make me feel bad for him. I’m honestly not sure how this place remains in business. I hope anyone considering using them avoids doing so at all costs so that they can avoid the major headache my wife and I had to deal with.

I am so happy I decided to trust my project to The Fireplace Place. Joel was easy to work with. He really listened and understood exactly what I wanted. My fireplace mantel looks like a picture right out of a magazine! Joel gave his opinion when asked and took the stress out of decision making. The installation went smoothly. I couldn't be more pleased! I would absolutely recommend The Fireplace Place!

Stay away! If I could leave 0 stars I would. We called for a repair of our wood pellet stove, waited 6 weeks for initial appointment and needed to order a part. No call weeks later when part came in and have to follow-up repeatedly. Finally booked an appointment only for no one to show up. Booked another appointment and they didn’t show again. No one has time in their lives to deal with such poor service and we lost an entire winter season with the fireplace they sold us.

Avoid hiring them for repairs/maintenance!!! They rip you off and then disappear! This place is the closest “certified” maintenance place that deals with Harman pellet stoves. We bought a house with this stove and chased after them for months to try to get them to finally come out to us, their professional opinion was that the combustion blower was broken and needed replacement, they charged us over $300 as a service fee and left. they said they would order the part and come back to install. We chased after them again for months, and they kept telling us the parts were sold out. I looked up the piece and saw it was finally back in stock, so we called them yet again, and they just don’t pick up or call us back.. now after googling videos, I figured out how to run the fireplace, nothing is broken. Everything works just fine. But the 2 Bryan’s that came out to inspect it clearly did not know what they were doing. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and do not hire them for any repairs.
