Even with a long line it didn’t take too long for it to get moving! The girls said it would be a wait for the berries and it take way less time than anticipated. “Large candy store advertised as the largest candy retail space in the world.I loved pretty much everything. You have major brands like Reeses, M&Ms, Pez here. But you also have a wall of healthy candy like low sugar gummies. You also have a wall of international snacks like Japanese Pocky and Chamoy candies.One thing is I wish is that the setup would be brighter and a bit more interactive. There are alot of bulk bin candies and some fun displays that promote giving into your guilty indulgence but the dim lights and unused spaces are a bit of a drag.”

Here, candies of all types, including international and vintage ones, await for eager sugar enthusiasts.As to be expected from a more event-centered storefront, pricing is more toward the expensive end.”

“A friend brought me here for my first time in NYC. Really nice boutique chocolate shop that specializing in chocolate from Japan. They infuse all sorts of flavors and the one I tried was Oolong- it was delicious and creamy. The staff were friendly and they had samples out which was nice. It’s a small, very straightforward niche kind of place if you like gourmet chocolate. It is pricier but definitely worth it if you like high quality made chocolates.”
“Laderach is our weekly purge. My friend and I go every Wednesday and Val is always working. We just adore her. Great attitude, gives samples, and just everything you want when going out. I highly recommend this store. Can't wait to see Val and get some chocolate next.”

The staff were accommodating and explained products without making it too time consuming or overwhelming. The chocolate taste test was appreciated and I actually ended up getting their Nama Chocolate as well as their chocolate covered chips. These are sinfully good! Pricing is reasonable for high quality treats. Now that Ive tried Royce and had a memorable experience, I will definitely stop by again whenever I go back to Mitsuwa!”
“I love Harlem Chocolate Factory! The chocolates are unique, delicious and memorable, and are worth the trip from wherever you happen to be in the city. I have gone out of my way on multiple occasions to visit during their opening hours just to purchase their truffles, and I often bring folks with me or purchase their chocolate for others. The response is always the same (some version of "omg these are amazing!"). The staff is also lovely and lively - I have yet to meet a sad or sulky person working the counter. It's a small shop but an enjoyable experience. I have tried virtually everything they sell except maybe a few of the bars, and I have not once been disappointed. Try them and thank me later.
Parking: There is no dedicated parking - there is street parking and a few paid garages in the area.”

They even got the best choices. Just ask for anything in mind, they will have it for you on your next visit :) .”

They have a good selection of chocolate, caramels, chocolate covered cherries, etc. and will wrap your box if you request it.My only negative thought is that the staff do a lot of socializing... not between themselves but with customers which can aid to the wait time.

“a 24/7 candy store in astoria on broadway whre you can grab a soda , snack , newspaper, cigs, lottery , etc. i usually stop here to grab some lottery tiks and a cold drink after visiting my cuz who dwells in the area . the place looks old and worn but thats what makes this place unique. the guy behind the counter is friendly and i have been lucky most of the time getting scratch off tickets. good place for the locals and non locals to grab something quick.”

“Friendly guy at the counter gave some recommendations. They stock items from Albania and their neighbors in the Balkans. I noticed many types of ajvar ( it's a spicy red pepper and eggplant spread), paprika, teas, and packaged pastries and biscuits. I found a Greek 'mountain tea' to try. It is sideritis or iron wort and naturally used for anemia. I would recommend stopping by to explore and bring home different ingredients to try.”

He even went so far as to hand deliver them to the venue in the city so that they wouldn't melt in the August heat! Top notch service and product. “I had my daughter Olivia's birthday party hosted by Matisse Chocolatier this past weekend and it exceeded my expectations! Matisse was so easy to work with, they were extremely accommodating, and make everything so easy/seamless - totally low lift for me!
Nija and Jessica were delightful, kind, energetic (I could go on and on) and they deserve the biggest shoutout for managing a group of kids with nothing but smiles and warmth.
The kids AND parents loved every minute of it. I got such great feedback that it was different and fun for everyone.
