“Our 2/2 is super spacious with plenty of closets. The terrace faces NYC and the park, which creates a great space for outdoor seating and entertaining. The neighbors are pleasant and we have never had an issue or noise complaint. The location is PERFECT!!!For sure the building is dated and is in need of some updates, but overall, for the price we paid, we are super happy.”

Praying that this continues moving forward. Safe to say, I'm very please with the maintenance department so far this year.”

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Veronica, the property manager, is a gem! She is very attentive and cares about the residents and their pets in the village. Always willing to help! 50 Halsey St, Newark“Love living here, we moved in August and we couldn’t be happier about our choice. The location, units, and having Whole Foods in the lobby are excellent factors but it’s the people here who really make this place shine. Jamal, the building manager, is extremely hard working and responsive. The engineering staff, Hakim + Adam are very intelligent, quick to sort out any problems, and very trustworthy. The housekeeping staff is great, there’s an elderly gentleman who’s always diligently cleaning (I’m kicking myself for forgetting his name). The entire security team is outstanding, special shout out to Reggie who always has a kind word to say but truly they’re all fantastic. The head security guard (he’s more frequently toward the Whole Foods end) is very astute, friendly, and does his job extremely well. The parking manager Joseph Navarro is also very helpful and friendly. The building is lucky to have such a great staff because that’s a huge part of what makes living here feel like a safe happy home.”

“Renewing our lease with Metro Meridia for the 3rd year. So far we have enjoyed living here. Maintenance requests have been attended to and issues get fixed right away.
The only drawback we have is our apartment is above the gym, and tenants who workout are sometimes not mindful with the loud sound created when weights are dropped on the floor. It keeps us awake late at night or awakens us too early in the morning.
Some tenants do not clean after their pets that urine and feces are left at the stairwell, and left for the cleaning staff to clean.
Overall, our experience with the MetroMeridia has been great, despite the very slow elevators. Communications to tenants have been timely.”

And I'd say that experience was horrible, and these guys are quite competent & resourceful compared to individual landlords.Despite the old age of building, this place has a very open layout; you won't find that kind of feature on comparative homes, probably apartments (apart from the sister apartment near the cathedral, but ive heard horror stories).Depending on the apartment, you also get a very good view. Again, for quite affordable cost.If there were to be downsides, it would be prevalence of crimes happening near the area, which was primary reason Id had to leave because of my property that I parked outside (it was a motorcycle i was building) stolen. But the tradeoff here would be the location of apartment, since it's pretty much on central of newark & highway entrances.Moreover, the laundry machines were often out of service; im not sure if that's still the case. Unfortunately, since those machines are often maintained with service contract, it's probably out of control for them to maintain these on their own. I'd just use the nearby laundromat.If you are reading this, Nadia:Thank you for your good work.”
“I’m very excited to write a review about this complex. This is my first time living alone and I must say it’s been amazing and the transition into the apartment has been so smooth. The maintenance crew has very very helpful and responsive. John one of the supers at the complex has been so nice and helpful whenever I call him for any work. He is always available and friendly regardless if he’s working or off since he lives on site. The complex is clean and the neighbors are very friendly. The officer manager is very nice and easy to talk to as well. It’s been a pleasure to live here!”

Lovely Miesian exterior in beautiful setting close to Branch Brook Park. It would be great to see the building being restored to its former architectural glory. The nearby Pavilion Towers were also designed by Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) and offer the opportunity to see three original Mies buildings in close proximity.”

“This is the best apartment in town. It's new, clean, and very safe with 24/7 security service. They have plenty of guest parking. The apartment is new, spacious and has high quality appliances. The services, such as mail delivery or maintenance services are excellent. Most of the service requests are done on the same day. Very caring and professional office staff. I had a lot of difficulties in the beginning in the online application process, but Stiben, Lisa and Brittany made is so simple! I think the service Lisa and Stiben provides is exceptional. They are very professional and caring. We love this apartment mainly because of the security, cleanliness, maintenance and the office staff (Lisa and Stiben). They are the best!”
