“The seating area was spacious and comfortable. The Hall itself was not easy to find inside the resort and the entrance flow was very confusing as to which line for entrance and ease of finding my seat.”
“Rooms: Clean big just right
Nearby activities: Amusement park other casinos
Safety: Felt safe walking the halls
Walkability: You can walk out front door to boardwalk”
“If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to sleep inside a time capsule from the late 90s to early 2000s, the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center has you covered. The front desk staff could not have been nicer, and the maintenance team was genuinely friendly, doing their best to keep everything tidy. But the carpet, the walls, the bathroom fixtures, the lighting… all of it whispers “TRL era Atlantic City” in a way that is both nostalgic and slightly confusing. It’s like the hotel paused itself at the exact moment Destiny’s Child broke up and never hit resume.
Let’s talk about the carpet. Why any hotel in a city known for partying would choose wall-to-wall carpet is one of life’s great mysteries. Carpet in a casino town feels like a trust exercise that no one asked for. I respect the bravery, but I do not understand it.
Now, location is unbeatable. If you are here for the convention center, you simply cannot get closer unless you pitch a tent inside the lobby. The connected tunnel is a life saver on cold days too. Though I will say, calling it “indoors” is generous. Somehow that tunnel is always two degrees warmer than the sidewalk and three degrees colder than your spirit when you realize you forgot your badge in the room. I don’t understand how you can be inside and still need a winter coat, but here we are. It is basically Atlantic City’s version of a wake up call: a brisk, involuntary power walk through refrigerated air.
Is it a little grimy? Sure, but so is everything old school AC. That’s part of the charm. The hotel delivers exactly what you need, nothing you don’t, and everything works well enough to get you through your stay without issues. The staff is kind, the beds are fine, and the proximity cannot be beat. Just embrace the throwback vibes and know you’re experiencing a small piece of Atlantic City history, preserved in polyester carpet and fluorescent lighting.
Would I stay again? Absolutely. But next time, I’m packing slippers and a hoodie for that tunnel journey.”
“Rooms: The bed is wonderful and the bathroom spacious wish they had a Jacuzzi for two
Nearby activities: The boardwalk is right there and your path to all the other resorts, shops & eateries
Safety: Very safe”
