The customer service is very bad and they never solve your problems. I already had a lot of problems with them when I want to leave and they don't let me leave, they just keep taking money from me.

This place is a scam and should be shut down. The used cars salesman who sold me my gym membership conveniently failed to mention it would cost me over $160 to cancel my membership when the time came. I paid a $70+ fee on start up plus the $56/monthly membership. Plus they just charge you an extra $120 fee at the one year mark. For what? Broken equipment that doesn't get fixed and a lockerroom that smells like a sewer? Thank God pf opened up down the block, can't wait for this place to go out of business.

very good gym, clean, good equipment as well as quantity of equipment. A few downsides as sometimes it gets hot which is not ideal when working out and secondly there is no station to fill up your water bottle at which is one of my biggest complaints. other than that would recommend

Terrible place, agreed on getting charged $63 months, next month charged me $127 + $15 3 times, went to the place called and no one knows why the 3x $15 charge came from and now I will have to pay more $100 to cancel the membership, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life, Nick is rude and told me that “it was not his problem”

honestly so disappointed in this gym; considering i thought it would be a safe space for women and IS NOT AT ALL. not only do there prices go up and down every season but the men here are unhinged. i’ve came late at night multiple times. considering you need to be a PAYING MEMBER to get in i didn’t think “ Jehovah’s Witness” would pay just to harass women at 3am and the staff DEFENDING IT. There’s two men and they DONT workout i’ve let the staff know multiple times how that shouldn’t be allowed and the front desk lady just acted arrogant and told me “he works out all the time”… girl. he sits in the damn locker room comes out every 30 mins just to “check” who he could harass.. im a women that is UNCOMFORTABLE & CLEARLY NOT ALRIGHT. My first two weeks my OPEN PATH DID NOT WORK. I’ve been dropped off past staff hours just to see that my OPEN PATH WAS DEACTIVATED! NO EMAIL, NO PHONE CALL. just locked a women out her account in the middle of the damn night. WORST PART is when i tried to fix it and logged out of the app it says my ACCOUNT DOESNT EXIST? apparently when ALSO going to the jersey strong website that’s “suppose to help” they DONT HAVE 24 hour service so i wasn’t allowed to speak with anyone at billing or anything of the sort; it says to put an account number in and told me my name doesn’t even exist in the system. Everything is usually dirty and out of place, weights go missing like crazy. Told me to get a BMI scan that will give me $10 off. Had a man tell i’m overweight ?. Told me it would take 2 years minimum to hit my weight goal ( i’m an athlete and i’m in bulk season.. i was shocked and disgusted atp? at that i’m actually the weight i’m supposed to be for my height. ) when i tell him “no thanks i don’t need personal training” bc the whole point of the BMI is for them to scam you with a “trainer”. He used personal questions he had asked me during the session to try and gaslight / manipulate me to pay $500-$200 for three day training a week.. i told him ik what im doing and once again im fine and was honestly just ready for my workout. He proceeds to say “i usually wouldn’t say this to a costumer but maybe if you stopped your habits ( meaning smoking bc he ASKED) then you can afford to take care of yourself and get a trainer” with the most SMUG LOOK EWKKK. definitely not it. They charge an arm and a leg for what? get your stuff together wth are y’all on? lmao wth.

I met with Bob C., the general manager of the Ocean township location. He was incredibly rude, arrogant, crass, and smug. He asked if the reason I didn’t want to sign up was because of the cost, then he told me to go to planet fitness instead. I was going to purchase a membership but I won’t be anymore. I would hate to support an organization that allows their employees to run off potential customers. I guess I should be thanking him for saving me so much money. My boyfriend and 4+ of his friends will be cancelling their memberships as well.

This gym is a scam company. The gym is filthy, half of the equipment doesn’t work, they haven’t replaced it since it was Workout World in 2000, the staff is nasty. I cancelled my membership and they charged me an extra $150 for fees that ARE NOT stated in the contract we signed. I try to leave nice reviews for companies but these guys are an absolute scam. I would never recommend this place to anyone. DO NOT JOIN!

Gym is constantly filthyweights are missing the numbers on them or just missing in general. prices have gone up and quality has dropped drastically.I understand at 4am there isn’t staffing and that running a fitness facility is expensive. but when you have 45 minutes to workout at 4qm and you spend half the time looking for weights that are appropriate for you or cleaning up others weights at 30 weeks pregnant as well. plus the fact that you need a tetanus shot to use half of the equipment.incredibly disappointed and i’ve been coming here since 2008

Nearly one month before my membership expires they denied my entrance, I left a bad review and they allowed me in again. And now a week before the adds I run at the gym expires the stopped promoting it on the screens. So here am I again until they get their stuff together. Right is right. It’s not because I’m leaving in a week that you can simply pretend my contract doesn’t exist anymore.

This place is such a scam. The rules of cancellations and freezing account fees are insane. They give 0 refunds and staff is so rude. Don’t even try this gym totally not worth the robbery and scam. I have lost over 150 dollars from this gym.

signed up last year 2023 only been there a couple of times. my uncle paid for my member ship as a Christmas gift. Jan 3, 2024 my uncle whose account it is under tried canceling. Rodger gave him the run around and said I had to physically come in to cancel with all my information then proceeded to tell me the gm would be in later that day to give me a call to talk to me. why is this such a process? called a different jersey strong and a wonderful young lady did it for me under five minutes. freehold your customer service is horrible and you need better staff on the phone speaking to the public.

They had a offer for 30 days free which is a lie they ended up charging me for fees $53.00 and $15.00 for signing up, the guy didn’t said that I had to pay fees, when I decided to cancel I called, and they said that I had to do everything online. For canceling they will charge me $106.63.I don’t recommend this place because they try to convence you to sign up and they offers are not true.

The sign up and introduction process was very smooth and Bob was very helpful. The gym is really nice and my first few classes have been great experiences.
