“They don't keep their lettuce fresh or cold. You can TASTE the difference. Cold cut meats aren't upto par. Decent bread selection. Definitely sketchy produce, watch and thoroughly inspect first. Name brand soda is expensive. Overall decently priced, as always, know your prices. Generics look alot like name brands here. Fooled me a couple times.”

“Finally they're repainting, renovating and replacing the dim store lighting in this place. It's been dumpy for quite awhile. They still need more focus on cleaning shelving in the dairy cases. The milk carts and floors shouldn't have dried milk flakes all over them. Try taking this stuff out back and washing with hot water! Disgusting.”

“Best independently owned and operated convenience store in the town of Litchfield, NH. Great owners who have established a very lucrative plaza in which they own the entire plot and rent out the other three units to a barber, an amazing Italian restaurant, and a crafty unique little town style store. This convenience store has everything from baby wipes to vape cartridges to every kind of craft beer to every one stop shop that sells everything you can imagine. Except yogurt lol. I get on them for it each time I go in as a joke. It’s our thing. Great people, great location, great store!”

“I got my son’s birthday cake at BJs and I love the way they did the lettering. I didn’t ask for it that way but last year it didn’t come out the best penmanship so I was worried but when I picked it up it looked great! I decorated it myself with crushed up Oreos as the dirt & put the trucks I got as cake toppers off Amazon myself! The cake was delicious, fresh & moist! I had a lot of left overs and still almost a week later it’s still delicious. I also love their trays of the variety cookies I get every year too!”

“Was my favorite store, until they remodeled and prices hiked significantly a couple years ago. I still prefer this store for the good selections, particularly with organic and healthier options. But being on a fixed income, I have to do my main grocery shopping elsewhere and pick up specialty items at Hannaford.”

“This is the most well kept DG out of all the ones I have visited near me. You cam tell that the employees care about the store and their jobs. It is clean, there are zero trip hazards and I feel welcome as a customer.
I will never step foot in Peterborough Dollar General ever again. I would rather drive 20 minutes to get to this one, where I don't feel like a criminal for having the audacity to need my items ringed up and checked out.

“I am glad to see this is still a corner grocery store. My family owned this store from 1935 to 1970 (approximately) when it was called Gaucher's Market. Many generations grew up working here, running the register (often on credit, which is no longer done), delivering groceries to the neighborhood homes in our white van and providing the local community with the best fresh meats from our deli counter. If you grew up on "French Hill" you all knew Gaucher's Market. I still have a large book of matches from a Christmas promotion (which many businesses did back then as advertising), a pencil and the official seal bearing the store's name on them. I am so glad to see that you are continuing the traditions of a corner grocery. My family is proud to be a part of your history!”

“This is the only place I can go that always carries menudo and other Mexican goodies. They also carry the pre-made michelada cups which are great since most of the Mexican restaurants in NH have never heard of one.”
