“Had my 2014 mini countryman towed in to John's impeccably equipped and cared for technicians garage because overheating on hwy trip to Bozeangeles. Not understanding why my car had failed - it gave me so much fear relief when John meticulously and efficiently looked over my entire car while simultaneously replacing the broken serpentine belt that has caused the car to fail.John also happened to have in stock the exact belt(and the only belt in area) to do the repair in under an hour! What relief!In the old adage about the ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure, I plan to spend as much money as humanly possible with John so that I don't have to worry about a future mechanical failure that would be much more costly and disappointing.My boyfriend was even trying to find additional services John could do on the car there but John was so honest he told us they didn't need to be done!-Master Skill-Clean Facilities-Honest AdviceThank you for keeping our mini healthy John ??”

They told me they couldn’t get me in for another two weeks but that I could leave me car there and they could see if they could get to it earlier. “I can't say enough good things about Righty Tighty Repair. Jared, Braden, and crew are truly salt-of-the-earth guys—kind, honest, and clearly passionate about their work. I recently went to them on very short notice after the Subaru dealership diagnosed a head gasket issue (amongst a few other things) that they said would cost $5000 to fix. The guys at Righty Tighty inspected my car thoroughly and quickly found that the issue was a broken radiator cap, not the head gasket. They explained the issue to me very clearly (as someone who is not super car savvy). They fixed it for less than $100 and even went above and beyond to install an OBD digital gauge to help me keep an eye on the cooling system temperature while driving. My car has been driving perfectly well since my visit to their shop and it's comforting to know it's still a reliable car.
I just want to add a little personal note: their attention to detail and honesty really stood out, and saved me so much money—money that I was able to use to give my sweet senior cat a peaceful passing at the vet this week. It made a tough time so much easier to bear. I will be sticking with Righty Tighty from now on. These guys turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and I’m so grateful for their help. Highly recommend!”

“Great shop. I am roadtripping in my 4runner for vacation and had an odd sound coming from my right rear wheel. Couldn’t figure out what was wrong so I took it to the shop. They made time to figure out the issue and fix it the same day so I could get back on the road. Everyone was very friendly and prices were fair given the last minute emergency repair. Can’t recommend them enough.”

“As many others have said, these guys are the best. I was on a road trip when my serpentine belt failed, engine overheated, and radiator ripped open (Honda Element with more than 226k miles on it). Having never used a mechanic in Bozeman, I was apprehensive about going to an independent shop rather than the dealership, but I'm so glad I did. They were able to take my car right away, diagnosed it quickly, and gave me a practical approach to fixing it, while being clear there were no guarantees the car would survive. They replaced the radiator and serpentine belt in one day for $800, which seemed more than fair to me (and cheaper than most online estimates). They were honest and practical, telling me to do this work but nothing more until I knew the car would survive. Fortunately, my engine seems to have survived the extreme heat cycle and feels no worse for wear or underpowered. They can seem a little gruff, but I am so appreciative to these guys for running an honest business with solid work and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!”
